Went there last night and got the grilled chicken sandwich and asked for extra cheese and extra crispy bacon, which bacon already came on it, but still got charged extra when I just wanted it extra crispy, not extra bacon. The cheese was just a bunch of shredded cheese and wasn't even melted at all. Worst chicken sandwhich I've had it a while.I also wish there was a button to notify the servers, like at Studio Movie Grill, but you just have to cross your fingers they come by soon for your order or if there's an issue, but I would only order basic stuff here cause they don't put a lot of care into the food, unfortunately, and this isn't the first time I've run into this.

Wow! What an improvement! Ever since they closed and then came back, I've been 2-3 times and every single time the service has been excellent!! I'm so glad because I was about to write this place off. The server is quick to greet you and take your order, food/drink comes out at a reasonable time. Good job on turning that ship around, Alamo!!

This may have been my worst movie experience ever. We purchased tickets for the Beetlejuice premiere party. The tickets were more but it was for a special menu, party favors, etc. We get there and no special food or the popcorn bucket which is specifically what we paid extra for. We order our food and drinks. During the wait, 3 different drinks came to our table that weren't ours and 2 different times we had popcorn come. I kept asking about our food but nothing. They brought us the check and said the pizza would be out soon. We canceled the order. The pizza shows up at the very end of the movie. I asked for a to go box but of course it never came. Absolutely will never return there.

I didn't catch a pic of the loaded fries but they were good. I was a little confused about the ordering process at first, and had no menu, but. I pulled it up on my phone. I was surprised by how cute this theater was! The seats were huge and very comfortable which I definitely appreciated

Blake is the most attentive, caring, professional and timely server we've ever had. He remembered everything we ordered and every time he walked by, he looked at our tables, to make sure we got our food. When the movie had been on for a bit and he had walked past a couple of times, he asked me if I had gotten my pizza yet. I said I hadn't, he said it'll be right out and it WAS! He even came behind the expeditor and had the crushed red peppers I had requested! He needs a raise for sure! It was also nice, that on Valentine's Day evening, the theatre wasn't crowded. We didn't have anyone sitting on either side of us. Best experience at this Alamo we've had thus far

Really want to love and support our local theater but likely won't be back with our kids.We brought our kids to watch a PG rated movie and there were R rated previews playing (which follows a different rating system) so this isn't their fault but it made for an uncomfortable experience for our kids.Unlike other theaters, if you purchase in the lobby at the kiosk, you'll incur all the same fees as ordering your tickets online. The kiosks also don't reflect child or discounted pricing so you'll want to go up to the actual counter to the person there to purchase your tickets. The worker there that evening didn't acknowledge us at all until after we had stood at the counter for minutes. No servers came into our theater until the previews had already started and they only came back to deliver our order and to drop off the bill. So if you order anything that has unlimited refills, you may as well order your refills when they deliver your food/beverages or you'll likely not see them again until toward the end of the movie.

The Lake Highlands Alamo Drafthouse is my preferred location in DFW based on ease of access, parking and chair comfort. Disclaimer: I have yet to visit the Denton location. The one complaint I have is the popcorn and food freshness. The kitchen staff need to up their game with the popcorn. I have ordered the original bottomless popcorn with clarified butter and the truffle parm a handful of times at this location and it's always unfresh, cold and stale like it was popped a day or two in advance. I was hoping maybe I went on an off day, but the problem is this location.I have not encountered this issue at the Cedars location. There is a big difference between these 2 locations based on food freshness.I usually don't go to the Cedars location as much because parking can be full and their seats were destroyed. Now that the seats have been replaced, I might go back to the Cedars from now on.But seriously $9 for lousy popcorn....I suggest taking away the bottomless and replacing with quality as 1 metal bowl is pretty large in the first place.

Have been to this location 5 times since they have been purchased by Sony and every single time there are issues with our food. Our most recent visit we ordered popcorn and three waters before the previews even started and there wasn't even 20 people in the theater. I waited for over an hour before I got up and went to front and told the cashier we hadn't received our popcorn or waters. About ten minutes later we received our popcorn and then another ten minutes after that we received two of our three waters and then the bill and then the movie was over. I never got my water and we were only given 20 mins to eat our popcorn. I had assumed they would comp the popcorn, not only did they charge us for the popcorn, but I had to pay the 18% tip. The time before this my husband ordered a sprite, again before the previews even started and he had to get up twice before it was delivered and it came about 20 mins before the movie was over and they charged us $7 for him to drink his sprite in 20 mins. After our most recent run in with their service I sent an email to them explaining what happened and I have gotten no response. We have had their monthly membership for years and think this was the last straw and will be cancelling.

Don't reserve the back row. The recliner seats were broken when I visited last night, and therefore were stuck leaned all the way back with the footrest all the way out. This made it difficult to get in and out of the seat, and was hard on my back/neck. It also made it quite awkward to reach the table to order and even to eat/drink. There were also no physical menus, and the server said that I would need to download the app and look at the menu there. Which strikes me as quite bizarre for a theater chain known for discouraging phone use during movies. My ticket, plus a soda and a flatbread pizza, came to a total of $45. Frankly, I am so disappointed that I spent this much on a bad experience. To be clear, my server was doing a perfectly fine job and I don't blame him for these issues. I just frankly feel ripped off that, even though Alamo knew these seats needed maintenance, they allowed us to purchase the seats (at the same price as every other seat in the place). Same thing with the menus--I saw that the row in front of us had physical menus, it was just our back row that they didn't give menus.
