3-W's Smoke Shack

Had been on my must-visit list for a while, so glad we stopped by!I'd seen many folks recommend 3-W's for good BBQ, but it is not exactly close to us. By chance we were close to Springtown around lunch time so I asked Maps to give me directions (good thing, since they're a bit off the beaten path). So glad we did!We ordered two of their lunch specials (one brisket, one pulled port) and ended up taking home half of each ... the portion size is awesome for a very good price. We'll definitely make the effort to return so we can try some of their other meats.

First time here and we will definitely be back. I had the 2 meat plate with sliced Brisket and smoked Bologna with a side of Brisket Pintos. Brisket was tender, moist and a solid rub flavor. My wife had the Pulled Pork sandwich with a side of baked beans. The sandwich was stuffed full of pork. She loved it, saying it was moist, tender and flavorful. She loved it so much she wouldn't even share a bite with me. LOL she couldn't shut up about how much she loved the baked beans! She did let me taste them and I was in agreement. This is a trailer rig with outdoor picnic tables and a nice, clean, air conditioned dining hall right next door. According to the young man who served us, the 3-W's were himself and his mom and dad. Both he and his mom came into the dining hall to check with all the guest to see if they were happy with their meal. We just stumbled upon this place by accident and we are glad we did. We will surely become regulars. We highly recommend this place. If you are disappointed, it will be your own fault.

So I stopped in here for the first time about a week or two ago because I love barbecue and they had brisket mac & cheese on the menu, which is my favorite the lady that took my order was so nice and explained the menu she rang me up for the brisket mac & cheese but forgot to charge me for the brisket so I made sure to let her know that the price seemed a little cheap and she thanked me for being honest which I guess I am a little naïve and thinking that everybody would do that because that's the right thing ‍ they're hard workers They deserve their money, I asked her for barbecue sauce to put in it, she said that she would give me a cup on the side so that I would have more room for the brisket in the mac & cheese and I've gotta say it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be going back. The prices are fair. And I absolutely love The outdoor sitting area. Makes a great stop for lunch on a sunny day.

My favorite is the brisket mac n cheese!!! Love this little family ran bbq spot! Service is always great and they have reasonable prices.

I absolutely love smoked meat, like for real, some people love pizza, some love Mexican, I love bbq. I'm on a mission to try as many Texas smokehouses as I can before I shuffle off this mortal coil.After seeing all of the positive reviews for this place I can only assume that we just happened to attend on a day when the new guy was given helm to the smoker. Between my wife and myself we tried pretty much every meat they offer.I really liked both the regular and jalapeño smoked sausages, no complaints!The brisket, both lean and moist were lacking flavor, like I seriously wonder if someone forgot the salt and pepper before putting them down for the long nap. There was a smoke ring otherwise I would have questioned if they were cooked in the crockpot. No smoke flavor at all. The fat was also still white and chewy, not rendered at all.The ribs were also lacking flavor, though they were cooked well.We also ordered one of their Gut Bombs, very tasty!As far as service, we were happy. It's basically a food truck though they do have an indoor and outdoor dining area.To be fair we don't frequent the Springtown area, so this may indeed be one of the best bbq spots around; but if that's true I grieve for these people. As we drove off I was a bit offended at how poorly these animals and their meat were handled. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it should taste seasoned.

The food is absolutely amazing. We had the 5 meat plate to split between 2 of us. There was plenty of food. Customer service was above par. You've got to try this place.

Best BBQ around! I love the brisket with the fat on, definitely the best brisket I've ever had. Their sides are also fabulous. I usually get the green beans, and the brisket pinto beans. I highly recommend this place! The other BBQ restaurants in Springtown/Azle area do not even compare.

Loved the choice of lean or juicy meat. Pepper char on the brisket was tasty! We've had bbq from every local spot, this was definitely the best. You can tell it's cooked with passion. Service was good and personable. We got ours to go so we didn't see the seating. We hope they stay around!

Great BBQ!! Huge Breakfast burritos are the bomb! Service is friendly and the prices are good!They have an inside area that is comfortable, welcoming and clean.

Stale buns! Yuck! Poor quality of meat. Lots of fat. Not handicap accessible. Very uneven ground. Won't be going here again.
