The review is only about the soup. They have creamy tomato soup, Milagu Soup, Mushroom Soup, and Sweet Corn Soup. The choices are limited. I think they used to have more options. Not sure why they reduced them. Like the mushroom soup the best among them. Milagu soup was great too but not a fan of it in general. If you crave for something a bit tangy side try milagu soup. I wished the mushroom soup is a bit creamy. Tomato soup is not that great. Felt it was a bit salty. Service is good. Staff are friendly. Dining was good. Has nice look and feel. Lighting was nice.

Delicious Indian restaurant with buffet tucked away in a complex. It is vegetarian but I didn't even realize it until after. They offer a lot of things you don't normally see at buffets which I appreciate. It was $15.99 on Friday lunchtime when we went which is a pretty good price. They do offer dosas made to order. The crunchy puffs and other fried veggies stood out to me. The fruit custard was delicious and same with the other desserts that I haven't had before. Definitely worth checking out.

Had lunch at 1947 Indian Vegetarian Cuisine, a newly opened restaurant presumably named after the Partition of India in 1947. I opted for their lunch buffet, which turned out to be very affordable. While I am not vegetarian, this was really tasty and satisfying. Overall, had a very positive experience. The restaurant is clean, bright, and inviting. The service was friendly, and personable making me feel right at home. The only minor hiccup was that, despite their official opening time of 11:30, the buffet wasn't fully ready until about 11:45. While not a major issue, it did leave me eagerly waiting to dig into the delicious food. The buffet spread included a variety of saucy curries and several types of rice. The paneer was a bit dry and too firm, as if it had been refrigerated or frozen for too long. However, the chutneys and sambar were on point, as was the spicy okra! One notable absence was naan, but the staff assured me that they would be adding it to their menu soon. Instead, they offered a selection of other bread options, including appam, various types of roti, and delicious puri. An interesting note was the use of small water bottles instead of traditional glasses, neither positive nor negative in my mind. The dessert selection was a pleasant surprise. Instead of the typical one or two options found at most Indian buffets, they offered four or five dessert choices along with tea, well done. If I were to make some suggestions for improvement, I would love to see more fried options, such as bajji and samosas, however the pakora was perfect and crispy fresh. Additionally, it would be great if they could introduce some dry main entrée options, as most of the dishes on the buffet were in saucy gravies. I'd love to see some gobi, baby corn, or veg fry. With a few minor tweaks, this restaurant has the potential to become a go-to spot for Indian vegetarian cuisine in the area. I look forward to returning and exploring their evolving menu.

We went to 1947 Indian Vegeterian Cuisine in a weekday and enjoyed the food. We had ordered Lunch Thali and Onion Rava Dosa. Lunch thali was good but the server forgot one or two items. Portion was limited but enough for a week day lunch. Food was tasty but since they are new there were delays in bringing the food. I am assuming once they get the feel of the crowd, it should go much faster. Onion Rava Dosa was good came with sambar and 3 chutneys.,Ambience was clean and nice.

1947 consistently hits it out of the park! Always spot on with food, service, and ambiance. Today, Mom and I came in shortly after opening at 11:30AM. Greeted as soon as we entered by Arun, we were given a choice of thali or a la carte. We decided on a la carte. I ordered the Cream of Tomato Soup and Spicy Utthapam with a trio of chutneys - [tomato, coconut, and coriander] - and Mom ordered the Hot & Sour Soup and Ghee Pongal. All dishes arrived to the table piping hot with a flavor profile and spice level that truly wowed us. Arun even gave me a sample of Paneer Makhani for the Butter Nan. I truly believe management made a logical decision moving the buffet to weekends and offering either thali or a la carte during the week. This way, one is not overwhelmed with the variety of items and can select something specific. The Masala Chai was perfectly balanced both in terms of spice and flavor intensity. We also got some Mysore Pak to go. Price point is more than fair for the portions received. We have now made this our regular spot for authentic veg Indian Cuisine. See you again soon!

Have been frequenting this place for yum South Indian food. Loved their steamed idlis, medu vadas, masala dosas, and masala chai.We have mostly been doing takeout from this restaurant so not sure about the ambience. However, their service appears quick for pick-up orders.

I went there with my friend on weekdays and they had buffet. I was pretty excited to have a very nice vegetarian meal. Was quite disappointed. MenuPaneer tikka masala, eggplant curry, vegetable biryani with more raw onion than vegetables, potatoes fry, idli, naan, white rice, sambar, rasam, yogurt rice, chips, fruits n some vanilla pudding. May be this is a standard menu I guess, I have no idea. But I definitely expected more vegetables in the buffet. The food was just ok. I would not go to this place again.

I have ordered a pickup order for the Thanksgiving weekend and the food made me realize i could have cooked better fried rice and Manchuria instead of driving for half an hour. I have ordered gobi manchuria along with vegetable fried rice both the dishes were bland and Manchuria was not properly fried.
