4.5/5! Overall, really liked Dahlia Tapas! This was great for a more quiet and intimate date night, as the location is a slightly off the beaten path and the property is a small, older house turned restaurant type restaurant. For Spanish tapas, this wasn't the best I've ever had but it was very good and we definitely enjoyed our meal. We had the catch of the day tartare and it was OK; the fish didn't have a whole lot of flavor but we really liked the sauce, which was like a spicy ceviche marinade flavor. I loved the potato croquettes--these were crispy on the outside and "fluffy" on the inside, and the serving was larger than expected. The lamb chops were good, but we really loved the Argentinian ribeye. The chimichurri was more oily than chunky, which I personally like, and the ribeye was a perfect medium rare; the meat was so tender! We also really liked the dessert, which was like crème brûlée with a hint of lemon. The staff were great--friendly, helpful and honestly just gave the impression they were happy to be part of this newer business. This is the kind of place I enjoy trying out; looking forward to coming again another time!

Starting this review off with a WOW! If you don't already know about Dahlia, let me put you up on game! This is the place you want to go eat at. Want a ribeye steak? Dahlia is the place. Want lamb chops? Dahlia is it. Want a Tapas style restaurant? Look no further than Dahlia! You will not be disappointed, we definitely were not.A special shout out to our server Jorge, who did an excellent job with providing great customer service. He answered our questions and made great recommendations. He provided us service with a smile and laughter. For our dining experience we ordered;Drinks - Black Dahlia The Matador Sangria Drinks were AMAZING Food -Roasted Veggies which included zucchini, large mushroom cap, broccolini, and red bell pepper Chilean Lamb Chops - lollipop style chops served over a yogurt sauce and Salsa Rojas on the side Argentinian Beef Ribeye - 20oz, with a grilled green onion over the top and chimichurri sauce and Salsa Rojas on the side Recommendations for the food, if you're a lamb chop eater, we do recommend getting this medium, just to enjoy the flavors. We went with the recommendation of getting it well and while it was still good, we feel we would have enjoyed it better on the medium side. Jorge did state getting the chops medium carries that gamey taste, so keep that in mind. The steak, definitely recommend medium rare or medium. We can't even put into words how beyond fantastic this steak was. We went with the recommendation of medium and OMG! The steak was PERFECT in every way! The chef/cooks did the damn thang with this steak.Lastly, the roasted veggies were so delicious, they were grilled to perfection, had great seasoning and went well with everything. All in all, our dining experience left us singing Johnny Gill "my, my, my, my, my, my, my, this food was sho nuff good tonight!" You don't even have to question, yes I'll be back, who's coming with?

I have found my new home for steak. Dining here was a delightful experience. This place is charmingly cozy and dimly lit.The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Service with a smile and suggestions on the menu was great!I selected this place to celebrate the completion of my book signing event and I am so happy that I did. The food specifically the 20 ounce Ribeye steak was phenomenal. Cooked to perfectiion. The taste of herbs and seasonings made my mouth so happy. The roasted veggies were cooked perfectly tender. It was all so explosive with the flavors.I have frequented several steakhouses (not chain restaurants) the upscale ones and as a foodie from IL to AZ and the Ribeye here was the best I ever had. Next visit is the 40 ounce Tomahawk. If you order it takes 45 minutes to prepare.

Tried a bunch of dishes and everything was wonderful! A couple of tips first, though. Parking is minimal so there is overflow parking just a little south at Cartel Coffee. Also, we sat on the patio, but I wouldn't sit there again. The misters are blocked by the shade material so mostly result in dripping and perhaps because of that we got eaten alive by mosquitos or some other biting insect. Just in the 35 min. we were there I ended up with over 6 itchy bites on one leg and nearly as many on the other. Everything else was amazing. Everyone was very pleasant and made sure we were well taken care of, stopping by often to check on drinks and our plates. We got the pan con tomate, asparagus salad, potato croquettes, Spanish dates, tostada trio, and the jamon iberico. You can't go wrong with any of them and I would get any of them again. The croquettes stood out because they're a good option to please anyone. The asparagus salad also was interesting because it was unique. The tangy dressing was great with the shaved asparagus. So refreshing on a hot day. The variety of tostadas was also welcome, from a slightly spicy chicken tinga, to a smooth creamy avocado, and then a surprisingly sweet carrot tostado. So good. I can't wait to come back and eat my way through the rest of the menu.

I've been hearing great things about this place and couldn't wait to try it. It did not disappoint. Such a cute little restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation so couldn't sit inside and got bitten by mosquitoes or other biting insects sitting on the patio. But the food was delicious. I loved the potato croquets and the asparagus salad the most but everything had unique flavors and everything was so tasty.

Recently ventured to Dahlia Tapas for a delightful evening, and it surpassed all expectations. As a new addition to the neighborhood, it's already making waves with its unique charm and flavors. Owned by the incredible Audrey, who radiates warmth and hospitality, and complemented by the sweet and knowledgeable server, Reina, the experience was nothing short of magical.Despite the intimate size of the restaurant, the ambiance is just right, offering a cozy yet uncrowded atmosphere. Now, onto the star of the show - the food. Dahlia Tapas masterfully blends traditional Mexican cuisine with innovative twists, evident in dishes like the asparagus with pistachios - a personal favorite that left me in awe. From the squid to the tacos, shrimp, and cocktails, each bite was a culinary delight.Supporting a women-owned business like Dahlia Tapas is not only a pleasure but a privilege. I eagerly anticipate watching them flourish on the block and look forward to returning soon. Cheers to Dahlia Tapas!

Absolutely fantastic! Best food I've had in Arizona since moving back here. Everything we had as far as food was perfect and the service was amazing as well. I also thought the ambiance was super cute and cozy and I love how it's kind of an open kitchen. This place is tiny and reservations fill up fast so I'd plan your visit ahead of you want to avoid waiting and get the seating you want. We had the Spanish dates, boquerones, and octopus carpaccio. I was really pleased with the serving sizes and we left full for two people with just these three dishes. Everything was so, so delicious and perfectly done from the crispy bacon around the dates to the pickled veggies that cut their richness, to the sauces paired with the tender octopus, and the amazing homemade tostadas. The anchovies were also so intensely flavorful and exciting to eat. I'd come back for the food any day! The drinks were meh. I tried 4 and would only order the mezcal-based guavalajara again. They all leaned too sweet and were just kind of boring imo. I'd recommend sticking to wine if you're not a fan of sweet cocktails. Loved the service! Everyone was so nice and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
