- delicious food that is worth the wait - Food: 4 starsPrice: 3 stars Service: 4 starsAmbiance: 3 stars Overall: 3.5 stars We were actually here a while ago around soft-opening, and it's our second time here since our friends want to try this place. We read the reviews online about a 3 hour wait in the weekend, so we came here to eat lunch at 10:30 am lol. There are self-serve cups and water jar on the table, but they gave me a pitcher of hot tea when I asked for hot water. That makes sense since they usually have complimentary barley tea in Korean restaurants. The restaurant was half full and we got everything we ordered much quicker than last time (I also think we were the second group to order galbijjim for brunch but I could be wrong lol). We ordered galbijjim (braised short rib), suyuk, and the japchae. Everything was delicious, and the galbijjim sauce is much less sweet now. We ordered 1 star (on the scale of 0-2) before and it was way too sweet. Today we ordered 1 star again but it wasn't overly sweet. I guess they adjusted it based on the reviews since we weren't the only ones who think it's too sweet. They used to have 2 or 3 different sizes, but they just have one size now. And as usual, you gotta order cheese for your galbijjim or tteokbokki for the torching experience ! Suyuk was good, but I like the seasoned onion and green onion on top more lol. I'm guessing it'd be better with the soup since we just ordered the meat platter. Japchae was good, but then again it's a safe dish. I'm not a big fan of flat noodles for japchae though. When we leave before noon, people were lining up all the way at the door. I'm guessing you don't have to come here at 10:30 am to secure a spot on the weekend, but dont come around noon unless you want to wait in a huge line. The service is good, they asked us if we want to refill our side dishes when some of they ran out, then the refilled the empty ones. They also offered to refill the hot tea pitcher as well in case it's empty.

We were excited to try it. Long line is ok if food was amazing but it just wasn't the case for us. 2 Chinese 2 Korean in our group and no one liked it enough to want to go back. Food is mediocre for Seattle/Bay Area standards. If you compare to LA Korean then this would be below average. They have a couple of interesting dishes though if you really wanted to give it a try given all the hype on Instagram. I just wouldn't recommend any of my friends to go if they want good Korean food. Sorry. Especially for the price tag, I expected better. Service is decent.

Arrived early at 4:15 PM before they opened at 4:30 on a Friday night - there were already around 10 parties waiting by the time they opened. Try to come early if possible!Seated quickly (only if the entire party is present!). The interior is beautiful and very well lit on a sunny day :)The service was great and friendly, the food was served quite quickly. The cold noodles were great and refreshing. The kalbijjim was delicious and the meat was soft, highly recommend the glass noodles! Although it was great, I'm not sure the quantity of meat is worth the price tag (and it's NOT worth the long wait they usually have) - this was more than enough for 4 (with small appetites)

We decided to visit on a weekday afternoon around 11:30am. I learned that they open at 11am so perhaps it wasn't great timing and they don't take reservations. We had a party of 7 so we waited for about 30 minutes which wasn't too bad. Parking was a little difficult but eventually found something after 10 minutes. The restaurant itself isn't large but has a nice modern decor. As for the food that we ordered, all had good flavor and I especially liked the banchan variety. Since it appears to be known for the kalbijim, we ordered that. Unfortunately no cheese for us but saw many other tables getting it. The other dishes included Daeho Suyuk and japchae. I did have a little higher expectations for the kalbijim though and thought the meat wasn't quite fall off the bone. The prices are pretty in-line with Bellevue and overall a good place to get your Korean food fix.

Absolutely much try. We arrived at 430pm Saturday right before the line started getting heavy. Concierge quickly seated us and promptly treated us to banchan & drinks. Tall ceilings and clean wide space. An appetizer + 2 entrees easily filled our party of 4. The kalbijjim was easily the most tender beef I've ever had, and the combination of cheese & Tteok-bokki is a dish made in heaven. It is pricey at $90, but totally worth the experience shared amongst close friends. Japchae appeared to be made with mungbean noodles, so be prepared to bite and pull. The bibimbap crisped to perfection in its stone pot, and vegetables balanced out this meat-heavy meal. Overall, really enjoyable place for dates or for a small crowd.

Love love love Daeho! I first had their SF location, and I was super excited when they announced they were expanding to Bellevue. Tried to wait out the initial hype for a few weeks, but when we went in March 2024, they still had pretty long lines. Waited about an hour and a half for a table for 5, but it's nice that you can leave after you put your name down on the waitlist and they'll text you when your table is ready. I also like that you can preorder the kalbijjim while you're waiting, since it can take a while to cook!Service was pretty good too despite how busy it was. Our server was attentive and patiently answered any questions we had about the menu. He recommended the suyuk to accompany the spicy kalbijjim, and it was so good! Definitely paired well together, just as he said. The suyuk's broth was so flavorful, despite the white color, and of course I loved the classic kalbijjim with cheese and rice cakes. I also like that they have a vegetarian bibimbap option as well! Hopefully they'll introduce the large size kalbijjim soon, like they have in the California locations, as I can never get enough!

My friends and I finally got to check out Daeho in Bellevue for their Korean braised short rib (kalbijjim). We had expected a long wait, but were seated within 10-15 mins after joining the waitlist at 5:30pm. We tried their:- Kko Gal Jjim - Braised Beef Rib with Ox Tail, and added rice cake and cheeeese. Mild spicy was actually perfect for us, and I think next time I'd get it without the ox tail because it's too much work - Yang Ji Suyuk - Broiled brisket soup; the broth was flavorful but the dish itself wasn't too memorablePrices are definitely Bellevue friendly ($$) but the price per person honestly wasn't too bad and we all left leaving full. I think we got lucky with the wait time as well as there was more of a crowd later in the evening. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed the meal immensely, but overall, I felt like I've had better braised short rib elsewhere where the meat just falls off the bone. I'm glad we got to go, but it'll probably be a "once in a while" spot for us.

Came on a Friday night for table of 3 and our wait was about 1.5 hours. Parking is tight and you may have to be patient/circle the lot for a bit, but I'd just send one person to go check in while you're waiting for a spot. Service is quick because they'll ask you to look at the menu and order before sitting down, which means that food typically comes out pretty fast.We ordered the popular kalbijjim and added the cheese so that they could toast it in front of us. This was definitely the star of the show because it was the best tasting dish of the night. My second favorite dish was the beef tartare, which was a lot different from my first time trying a french version. I preferred this one, with the sesame oil and little veggies on the side which made it more refreshing. Japchae with thick pieces of short rib was also pretty good but under seasoned for me, similar to the banchan which I was quite disappointed with. I would come back to try their soup dishes, but maybe I'll wait a few more months when the hype has simmered down a little bit.

Flavor and Texture: The flavor the kalbijjim may cause divide. On one hand, it's too sweet, even if masked by upping the spicyness levels. However, the food has an abundance of flavor, spices, tenderness, and varying ingredients to make this one of the more interesting dishes I've had. And the cheese is a match made in heaven. Quality and Skill: This is not an authentic kalbijjim but deploys a defining attribute of modern Korean cuisine: Sweet, acidic, spicy, and has lots of cheese. In that sense, they've tied all these elements in nicely, though I still recommend that they boost savory over sweetness. The beef was nicely tender. Ambiance and Service: The ambiance is nothing to write home about but despite the high volume of customers, service was responsive and friendly. The butane flame thrower on the cheese was an experience. Value: A meal for 2 can easily reach over $100. For those more accustomed to traveling to other cities with more Korean food, I don't think this would be considered great value. However, given the novelty of modern Korean in the greater Seattle area and its lack of accessibility, there's really no other choice. I doubt you could find anything close in Washington.

I was skeptical but OMGAH it was 10/10. Although the price is higher than other places like Danji in Issaquah but you get SOOO MUCH FOOD. My favorite was the galbijim with the oxtail. The oxtail bought out so much flavor and I love that they have the option to add the thick noodles. This was enough food for 4-5 people. Although next time I wouldn't get the cheese again. The steak tartar was also delicious. And the sides were some sides I've never seen before. This place is an addiction. I highly recommend and it's a MUST TRY!
