Dawaat Indian Grill4/5Food - 5/5Quality: 5/5Portion sizes: 5/5Flavor: 5/5I ordered the lamb tikka masala. Starting off, I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size, which was more than generous. Unsurprisingly, Indian cuisine never lets me down when it comes to flavor. Everything was seasoned and nothing was bland. My meal had a good balance of earthiness, tangy-ness, and had a decent spice level. The rice was cooked perfectly and paired well with the tikka masala. Not to mention, the cuts of lamb were simply amazing-- very tender and flavorful. I also ordered a side of mango lassi, some rotis, and garlic naan. The mango lassi tasted heavenly; some tangyness from the yogurt and a mild sweetness from the mango, also very creamy. Meanwhile, the roti and naan were cooked to perfection with toasted bits here and there that made munching on it very addictive. Paired well with the main dishes too. However, I did wish that the garlic naan had a more pronounced garlic flavor. I couldn't tell which one was the roti and which one was the naan at first, simply through taste. It was very mild. Service - 3.5/5Hospitality - 3/5Speed - 4/5Considering that we went during rush hour, the restaurant was understandably packed. It took us a while to get a waiters attention. Our waiter looked unamused. Overall, the service wasn't anything spectacular or impressionable.Design - 3.5/5Interior: 3/5Exterior: 4/5The restaurants interior didn't have anything eye catching or spectacular. It had a relaxed and muted atmosphere. I don't think there were thag many amenities inside apart from a few TVs (at least nothing that caught my eye). Meanwhile, the outside had some nice photos of the food plastered on its windows and appeared rather welcoming. Overall, Daawat Grill is a comfy, laid-back spot for those looking to indulge in a colorful array of flavorful and well-known Indian dishes. Consider not wearing firm-fitting skinny jeans, and also be mindful that you probably have to loosen your belt at some point during the meal. Centered in the heart of Seattle, parking may be a bit tedious, so I recommended getting there on foot or by public transportation if you want to save yourself the trouble.

This is my go to spot for Indian food in Seattle. I've gotten take out numerous times and dined in a few times, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, comes in pretty large portions (I always have leftovers). You could definitely do family style here, or order an individual dish, and one order of nann is enough to feed 2-3 people. The restaurant is always pretty quiet, but service is great, and the waiters are very attentive. It has a very formal feeling but is a casual spot and would be a great place to eat after exploring downtown. The only downside is that parking can be hard to find.

While in Seattle, there weren't too many things around that sounded good and we wanted to eat somewhere close to our hotel. We haven't had good Indian food so we ended up picking this place (rating was good and food looked good). We ordered crisp calamari, tikka masala (chicken and comes with rice), and garlic naan. The calamari was perfect. Crispy and tender calamari. They give you a good amount. It was perfect for the two of us.The tikka masala was really good too! Just needed some chili oil / hot sauce. The rice was basic. Wish it were garlic rice. On the other hand, the garlic naan was REALLY good! Ate more of the naan than the rice. They give you a good amount and they freshly make it in house. Also, it looked like they have a buffet during lunch. If we go back to Seattle, we will definitely come back to try the other things on the menu.

My friend and I stumbled into Daawat Grill with zero expectations and left highly satisfied. We shared the Lamb Samosas, Baba Ghannoj, Chicken Tikka, and the Paneer & Spinach Naan. Not only are the portion sizes generous, but the quality of food is outstanding. Our only negative comment was that the baba ghannoj was a little too smokey for our liking. The dining area was very clean - more formal than we were anticipating coming off the street. The staff was very quick to serve and always available when necessary. I would absolutely recommend Daawat Grill and hope I can go back again in the future.

No wait on a Friday night around 830pm. Our service was nice and our food came out within 15 minutes. There was a mix up for one dish and we got another one accidentally. They fixed it promptly. I tried the chicken Tikka masala $16.50, which was creamy and good with the rice. Their chicken biryani $18 was unique compared to others we have tried. It was more of a mixed saucy texture with larger pieces of chicken. I'm used to it being more dry. The portion was also very generous.Service was pretty good. There was a mix up with one of our orders and they fixed it but it took another 5 minutes for one person to get their food.

Daawat means "feast" which is what I had today! Saved all my calories for feast of Jalfreezi Chicken and Garlic Naan. They used dark meat chicken which to me is more flavorful and moist than everyone that just chunks up breast meat. This was a real treat with plenty of garlic ginger and some chilies for a little heat. Daawat also serves one of the largest servings of naan bread I have had recently. 1) This inauspicious grill nestled in the heart of Seattle is close to a white cloth restaurant with a full bar and great staff. 2) My food was just right for the afternoon and my sauce was plenty to cover the chicken and some to dip the naan in. 3) I have to say they have some menu options that I had not seen before and when I return I will have to try. Rogan Josh and Jalfreezi are my jam or I would have this time around.

Glad I discovered this restaurant during my time at the convention. Its only just a block away from the Arch building. It was busy on an early Sunday afternoon. For food we ordered the Tandoori Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. Curry was thick and the rice was not dry. They forgot to bring the naan bread, but they brought it out when we were finishing up our meal. They apologized and took the naan bread off our bill. The naan bread was fluffy and buttery. For drinks, I ordered the Chai Tea. Tasted great, had subtle hints of cinnamon. Overall, would love to bring my fiance here when we visit Seattle. Been trying to find a new favorite Indian restaurant and I was definitely pleased with this one.

I like India foods, but never tried in Seattle until now. I was not disappointed.Veggie platter was a good start. Then we order a reasonable sample of saucy protein dishes, with two kinds of nan. There were complimentary rice that proved to be beyond our capacity.Flavor-wise, they were on the mild side. We probably should have upped the spiciness level a bit. Biggie platter was a standard layout, they did not adjust to the number of patrons.Full bar, attentive staff, and relatively quick food arrivals.I will come again when I crave for Indian foods.

The food was delicious, I especially like the Tikka Masala dish with Naan bread or Basmati Rice. The service was great. The ambiance is an Indian restaurant. They have a full bar here.
