I am vegetarian, so now you know how the review goes. Just going to highlight one major things. This restaurant is the only one I have been to in Phoenix, where they have served an egg banh mi. That is something very unique, and this egg sandwich is something commonly served in Vietnam for breakfast or lunch. So I am giving 5 stars just based on this. It had me thinking I was in Saigon again.I haven't tried anything else there yet, but I am may not have to. I would know exactly why I would go. To get that bangin' egg banh mi.

We intended to eat at another Pho restaurant, but they sold out, so we decided to try this spot.Food - we order Pho#1 and 3A. The portion is good and commensurate with the prices. Nonetheless, the taste isn't to our liking at all. The broth is very greasy that you could see oil separating from the soup. I love tendon and tribe; however they weren't cooked long enough. Service - I gave 3 stars due to the service as they took our orders fairly and filled our water during the meal. Ambiance - Okay. Nothing fancy. The place is clean.

Vietnamese heaven! We drive for miles to go here. Love their Pho, of course, but their lemongrass chicken or beef are packed full of fresh flavor. The vermicelli is so good on a hot day. Great prices and huge portions. Luv luv luvThe service is so good it's surprising because they're always swamped, but they handle it with grace and speed. The ambiance is very casual with ample seating.

The best pho in Phoenix! It's not super close for me but when I want pho I'll make the drive to have it here. The broth is so savory and perfect. Their other dishes are really good too but the pho is so perfect I haven't honestly tried much else on the menu!

Need a pho craving fixed? Then this is the place! I have been on the hunt for savory pho and Da Vang is a blessing! I ordered the BBQ pork spring rolls and they were made fresh to order! The dipping sauce was more hoisin than peanut butter so sweeter but the savory spring roll balanced it out. Then not even 10 minutes later came my pho and this healed me! The broth was savory and a small hint of sweetness. The noodles were perfect and the steak cut up small so it was easier to eat. Then we saw that they had bahn mi sandwich which we had to go and had them for dinner. And now I crave them all the time! The service is a little hit or miss but the food is so worth it! This ma and pa shop has a honey feel to it and I can't wait to go back!

Always delicious! Very authentic. Have been here a handful of times now and tried items across the board on the menu and it is impossible to go wrong. Very authentic food. Never had to wait for a table and service is quick.

We haven't been here in a while since we live a bit further away but oh my we missed DaVang. Such comfort food. We can't find more authentic pho anywhere in AZ. Grape leaves wrapped pork, shrimp paste, rice rolls with mushrooms are all our favorites. Crepes are nice and crispy with loaded bean sprouts, shrimp and pork. Waiters are all very friendly and treat you like family. Will return as often as we can. Highly highly recommend!!!

I've been here HUNDREDS of times throughout my life- don't ask me why it's taken so long to review.Da Vang has been a go-to spot for me ever since I was a wee bitty little human. That's right... a long, long, long time ago. So of course, it's my favorite in Phoenix. That being said- Da Vang never disappoints. The food is always delicious. It's a little mom & pop shop located in a small plaza along 19th Ave. This place can get PACKED at certain times, so keep that in mind if you're: (1) starving and unwilling to wait OR (2) crossing your fingers in hopes of finding a parking space. (Maybe check Google for the "busiest times" and avoid going then.)*Whenever I'm there I try to read the room. If it's busy, I won't take up too much time eating so others can be seated sooner. But if it happens to be slower, I may sit for a few after I eat to chit chat for a bit. Just stay considerate of others.*The orders always come out hot, fresh, and quick! And once you're finished, just head to the counter with your table number in mind to close out and pay the bill. *Your bill will not be brought to your table when you're done eating.*Note: Some folks are used to a server that wants to have small talk, so please don't be offended if the servers here don't do that. They are constantly busy and always in a rush to serve you better. And as I've mentioned earlier- they're really just trying to speed up for the other people who may be waiting. Regardless- they're super efficient here!ENJOY!

One Word....EXCELLENT!!! Exceptional food with decent presentation. All dishes were extremely tasty. Probably the BEST PHO I have had in Phoenix. It is a bit far from Mesa but well worth the drive and will do again.

Came in on a Friday evening right before the dinner pop -no wait for a party of 2. Was pretty excited hearing about Da Vang and reading other reviews. We were instantly checked in on for a drinks, and we placed our orders quickly for pho since I'm still searching for the best pho in Phoenix. All in all service was great no complaints, and the restaurant is clean and bright. We ordered Goi Cuon Nem Nuong for an appetizer and then we both ordered beef pho. Goi Cuon was pretty average. Nothing special about it - pretty dry and the meat didn't have a char flavor that I'm used to, but that's just the appetizer what I really came here for was the pho...I've had a lot of pho from New Orleans, Houston, San Jose, Orange County, places that have large viet populations. Phoenix overall - I haven't had pho that has really amazed me still. I always sip the broth before adding anything to the pho, and I was so confused upon my first sip. I tasted primarily oil and then a hint of beef flavor. I barely tasted any pho spice like no star anise, slight cinnamon, but overall all I tasted was oil followed by a slight beef flavor. Like normally in my experience the broths in west valley have been salty - no beef flavor, or beef flavor but sweet. This has neither in my opinion which I found super odd especially after reading the reviews. In addition to the broth being off to me, the noodles were a weird texture. Like mushy? Me and my brother (he had his own bowl) both agreed the noodle texture was very odd and the broth was very disappointing. I could have had a bad batch or something not sure but overall, I did not enjoy my bowl of pho even after adding sriracha and lemon (which I normally pour the sriracha and stuff on the side to not mess with the broth but it really just needed some flavor). All in all I didn't really enjoy Da Vang which is not something I expected. However, you still should try yourself and see if you enjoy it. I felt the portion was very good and the menu prices were not as pricey as some I have seen in the west valley (if we're purely looking at price comparison).
