Kind of a cross between a gift shop and a very small grocery....a "grift shop" perhaps? The emphasis is on Filapino foods and gifts. This store is tucked along a strip in the North City area of Shoreline so its not too easy to find.

I stopped in as a random passerby to this shoppe. I am writing this in a time of COVID19- they are so clean, and are observing masks and social distancing! They have a simple layout so the shop was easy to navigate in under 5 minutes. The owner was so friendly and helpful. I found some interesting fish to try (pictured). They also serve some hot food, which I did not have but smelled really good. This is a perfect place to pick up condiments, some canned items and really hard to find food items. This is a worth a stop!

I hosted a bridal shower for a coworker, and a different colleague of mine couldn't make if, but she had me pick up a few trays of lumpia that she had prepaid for at this establishment. They were the hit of the party! Very delicious and authentic, and SO many pieces for the price. I recently heard that I can order Pancit here, so I'm putting in my order tomorrow.Great, authentic food at the right price.Win.

I'm gonna get right to it. The shop itself is just like any other small Filipino convenience store and this rating doesn't have anything to do with what's in the store at all. The store itself I give a 4/5. But the cashier lady kind of annoyed me. I was just going in to buy some phone cards to make a call to the Philippines and the lady starts to get all up in mah business like that annoying Filipino Tita you have that always asks you when you're going to get married. She was all "oh iho just use skype or FaceTime it's free" in like a really condescending way. Don't you think I know that fool? Like damn maybe she had good intentions and all but the way she said it kind of sent me the "you stupid?" vibe. I honestly wouldn't even be pissed off if it stopped there but she just wouldn't stop pestering me the whole time I was picking a card about how she doesn't believe that the internet speed over where I'm calling is too slow and choppy. Like she made it seem like she was so offended by it that she didn't even want me to give her my effing money for these stupid phone cards. Just mind your own damn business lady. I don't give a flying what you think.
