D' Sotos

Very friendly service and delicious food. Went in for a chorizo breakfast burrito. The chorizo was very good, not too dry and not dripping grease. The amount of filling ratios are spot-on. Many places I never taste the cheese and in this one you could see it even. Their green sauce is an avocado/hot sauce mixture. The red is great too, a little roasted flavor, not over-powering. They greeted me with a smile and actually acted like they wanted to be there. Too many places these days, everyone is frowning and totally unfriendly.I will go back to try other things for sure!

I just moved close to this place and was trying it out. Overall it's pretty good and I will have to go back and test other things as well. I got 4 tacos, rice and beans. The carnitas was my favorite, then the pastor or the carne asada, and the Pollo asada was ok. The tacos were huge!!! I liked the beans and rice. The salsas were pretty good too. They were super nice when I picked up my order. I was too hungry so didn't get a chance to take pics. lol I'm happy this place is down the street and I'll have to go back.

I always get the chorizo burrito and I add beans. So basic yet so bomb. My go-to! I've had the machaca here too but I always go back to the chorizo.

Love the breakfast burritos. Carne asada tacos are a family favorite. Good food, good prices and quick service. Great mom and pop shop!

Previous to yesterday I have only ordered takeout from D'Sotos and have never been disappointed. Yesterday I went to get a pick-up order for my hungry hungry husband. Ordering online is super easy and convenient; I work about 10 - 15 minutes away so I placed the order and by the time I got there, it was ready.The staff were super friendly and the interior of D'Sotos seems like a family run/oriented space. The salsa bar is legit as well. As for the food, see the pic of the carne asada chimichanga! It comes with a side of beans and rice. Because hubs is a picky eater, the chimichanga only had meat and cheese (no lettuce, guac, sour cream etc). You can specify these details in the order online. Price with 15% tip was ~$12.tl;dr Delicious Mexican food!

We walked into D'Sotos with high expectations after reading the high reviews on Yelp. I was in Hemit, CA last weekend and our family member took us to a Mexican restaurant where they swear by their tacos being the best on earth. Now we are back home in La Mesa and was on the hunt for those tacos. I think we found it in D'Sotos. Miguel was awesome and so friendly. He assured us that we'd be happy with their food. He was right!!! I ordered and they were delicious. We'll be back soon!!!

This place is just wonderful! It has that family friendly atmosphere and vibe that makes you feel so comfortable. It reminds of a place that used to be in North Park called "Marta's"! The daily specials are very generous and the salsa is great! Hidden Gem

So I was pretty hungry tonight and I was looking up some food places and I saw this place I saw that there was some great reviews on it so I tried it out and I ordered the big Cali burrito with 2 rolled tacos in it. It is outstanding I would definitely recommend coming to this place. The service was awesome very friendly.

Some of the best carne asada quality I've had in SD. I had the Cali burrito and everything in it was good quality and fresh. The service was great. Food came out fast and hot/fresh. My GF ordered the fish taco and mini carne asada tacos. They were also super good. Will be coming back to try other menu items. A little small inside but nice and there are places to eat.

The worst experience with a taco shop, placed an order checked it and it was incorrect, I went back to ask what it was that as in the order and was greeted by attitude from the guy behind the counter, arguing that I pointed to a picture and assumed that's what I wanted when I specifically asked for what I wanted, he was rude, going back and forth and arguing about what I had pointed at, as the cook is just staring at us which was not his fault but this young kid needs to learn how to deal with customer service and the food industry, I don't care if you're having a bad day, the last thing you want to do is take it out out on your customer, so yes give me my $ back, never been here and will never come back, I placed the drink on the counter that he asked for back and yes it spilled, and yes you get what you give back, he proceeds to run after me and take my pic because I took a picture of his business, as many taco shops there are, this is by far the worse as far as customer service is concerned.And here he is answering me with attitude, I flipped you off after you called me a weirdo, I don't care if there was another guy friend of yours in the shop, your response says everything about you, as you are still trying to deflect, other reviews about your attitude says otherwise and keep making up your excuses for being a crappy person. All I wanted was the CORRECT order but your little ego got in the way and nobody was walking away with your Jamaica, I came back in to have you correct the order and you lost it, it's not my fault you lack in personality and customer service, maybe be in the back where you like to be and let someone else handle the register who is more amicable than you.
