Authentic Chinese food at D Cuisine in Lincoln Park!We were trying to find a restaurant in the Armilage area and ended up at D Cuisine.Food: 5/5At D Cuisine, we have tried some of their signature Salt Baked Chicken, XO Sauce Shrimp and Scallops, Steam Beef Balls, and comforting Hot and Sour Soup. Each dish was a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the kitchen. Drinks: 5/5Hot tea is served when we sit, the jasmine tea is good, and it's good to have it in cold weather.Service: 5/5Despite the bustling crowd, the staff at D Cuisine provided attentive and efficient service, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.Ambiance: 5/5We have been waiting for couple minutes for the table. Food: Doesn't showcase any particular region's accent yet it can be homey enough for a quick dinner or takeout. Not too oily which is always appreciated in a Chinese restaurant. Ordered some dim sum, soup, fried rice, sautéed veggie and sautéed beef. My friend said the fried rice lacked flavor but it was ok for me, although not too many scallop. The soup was the best part for me. Sautéed veggies are expensive, more than meat Service: good and attentive! Loved the tea. Ambience: kind of like small mom and pop shop.

Came here looking for an alternative to Sun Wah. Unfortunately don't find it.Had the Wu goh, and cha su Bao, steamed ribs, and crab wrapped with seaweed for dime sum. Everything was barely warm so a big write down for that. the got was decent but cold. The bao was surprisingly good not a lot of fat that you find in some. (Since I lived in the Bay Area for 35 years, these don't come close to the ones there.) The ribs were barely edible. Almost all bones and fat and gristle. A total waste of money. The crab roll was a meh. I had to order the Beef chow fun. It was okay. No where near the Sun Wah version. I'm used to lots of gravy and chewy noodles. Even more soy sauce didn't help.I won't return to this place. I had high hopes.

Excuse the terrible pic- this was after I had already eaten half of my food. Chicken was cooked perfectly, sauce wasn't too sweet. Crab Rangoon was amazing. Would definitely recommend

This is an updated review - visited this restaurant again in summer 2023 and was very disappointed. The menu was changed - some of my favorites were gone, such as roast pigeon, and osmanthus ribs. Unfortunately all the dishes were not good - salty, and too starchy. It seems that the restaurant has changed chefs.Service and environment were still really nice, but i was really disappointed by the food since it used to be one of my favorites in Chicago.

We were looking for an authentic, casual and non spicy Chinese restaurant in Lincoln Park and this seemed to be the only one because it serves dim sums. So we went. It overall did not disappoint us! Restaurant was clean and bright and felt homey. Service was excellent during our visit. The dim sum menu is small but covers the classic ones. The time to get the dim sums on the table was slow but that's because the dim sums were made to order according to the menu. Not the best dim sums that I've had, but I am from Guangdong where dim sums are from haha. The quality is definitely decent and serves the craving.

This was our first holiday trip to Chicago and my IG was serving me a ton of ethnic food options outside of pizza and hot dogs. We actually tumbled upon D Cuisine while taking in the sights. My goodness, what a great surprise. The dim sum was exceptional. We got both of the bean curd dim sum dishes, a plethora of steamed dumplings, mango pudding, sesame balls, and pineapple buns. The dumplings were gigantic! And full of flavor! We honestly could have stopped any half of our order because the dishes were so large, but we didn't know what to expect. And truth be told, we were ravenous! Man, that meal was unforgettable. And the dim sum at D Cuisine hits different. Don't pass this place up!

My wife, teenage son (15 years), and I enjoyed a casual dim sum dinner in July 2023. D Cuisine has a nice location on Clark Street in Lincoln Park. We were looking for an informal dinner that would be quick. Lots of pluses here. First, the service is prompt and attentive (almost too rushed). Second, the shrimp dim sum was excellent along with the steamed buns and Chinese greens with garlic. I think the dim sum dumplings are the way to go here. Third, it has a relaxed atmosphere with TVs, so it's great for kids. We would definitely go back to D Cuisine for another meal in Chicago!

This is not a destination restaurant. But for what it is, it does a great job. For dine- in or take-out, for dinner or lunch, D is great. Excellent dim sum. Very reasonable pricing.
