Went on a Thursday evening and we were able to snag a table in the already full restaurant within 10 minutes. So glad as it was a chilly night.CalamariGnocchiDugeness Crab RavioliShitake Vodka Cream LinguiniCappuccino Chocolate Mousse Cake.I would go back for the Mousse cake alone. It was light and delicious. All the above were very good, I especially liked the Calamari and Linguini. We don't live nearby or it would be come a regular place to eat.

Oh my! Best meal I've had in ages! But on the spendy side. And my personal complaint is if I'm spending $38 to $45 for a meal, I'd rather have comfortable seating, not feel like I'm in a pub. Service was good, had to ask for a couple things twice, but the meal was so good this and the uncomfortable seating was easy to manage.

I was truly really excited to come to this place. I was told by so many people that this was the best Italian restaurant in Bellingham. I was impressed overall with the quality of food I got. Hard to beat fresh pasta. We were served complimentary salad and bread before the meal. For the main dish we got the linguini with fresh clams and sausage manicotti. Clams tasted very fresh, but the broth/ seasonings was a little watered down. Not easily seen in the picture, but there was a lot of broth on the bottom and I feel like it took away from the flavor for the pasta. Service was impressive. Our waitress was able to memorize my large parties orders without writing anything down! Pretty cool. My expectations of this place were pretty high. My disappointment (and I feel like that is a big one) is we found two large pieces of hair in the sausage manicotti. A little off putting...I'd be willing to give another try with all the positive reviews and see if my next experience is different.

The best Italian restaurant in WhatcomCounty. Holy buckets this place is a dream if you crave innovative Italian food. Homemade pasta, bread, desserts. My current favorite is the gnocchi with pancetta. Tender, melt in your mouth potato dumplings that will have you dreaming of dining in a chic Italian cafe. The wait staff is knowledgeable and can guide your food choices if you have dietary restrictions. They take reservations only for parties of seven or more people. Metered parking on the street.

This is an old-school delicious Italian restaurant that every time I go there, I walk away more than satisfied. I'm fairly new to Bellingham, so I don't know how long they've been around, but it's clear they have good repeat clientele and with good reason. I am now one of them.Recommended

Best Italian food in Bellingham, in my opinion. Upscale and cozy atmosphere, with down to earth and courteous staff. Great place for a romantic date.I like to bring my extended family to Deanna's when they're in town.

We recently returned to D'Anna's (my husband's and my son in law's favorite restaurant in town) and left 100% satisfied! My only issue is that I am always too full for dessert! (What can I say? I have a sweet tooth..) We intended to go early as that has been key for us avoiding a waiting for a tableBut this time maybe we just got lucky? Service was impeccable (nothing new here it is always great!) I love the upscale yet cozy/family vibe here.

The atmosphere of D'Anna's isn't what I would call romantic, but more like a slightly upscale family reataurant. It's not to say this isn't a date-worthy place, but it lacks that feeling of intimacy at each table. The pricing is a little higher than what I would expect for the quality of the dishes, but it isn't too much of a stretch. I will say that the desserts are reasonably priced and excellent, so definitely check them out (if you've got the room left after dinner!). The service is decent and although there was a big dinner rush, we still got our meal in a decent amount of time. So, I'd say D'Anna's is a mid-tier place for Italian in Bellingham. There's certainly better places than this, but it can really hit the spot sometimes.

One of the best Italian meals I've ever had. I've been to Tolly's and the Italian Gardens in Kansas City. The meal I had tonight rang all the bells. I had the Crab Ravioli with the house wine. Get both sauces. You're welcome. Janice had the Gnocchi with a Lemon Drop. It was also great. Highest marks.Bill Wendt

My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience here. The server had very good attention to detail, was very personable, and took every step to make sure our food was good and satisfying. I ordered the Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce and Meatballs with gluten free pasta. It was delicious! My friend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and she loved her meal, too. The whole atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and other diners around us appeared to be enjoying their meals and conversation, too. We will be back!
