D'Amatos Pizza

Great prices for good pizza. I bought three pies for a birthday dinner. Meatball and black olives, pepperoni, and a veggie pie. All tasted great and I would order there again. It's about 20 bucks for their large pie. My order fed 6 people easily. Local and convenient place.

We were ignored in the store until I said "HI! HELLO?" And they kept talking, we received 10 wings not 12? And they kept asking for our name from the back! Like if you can't hear me out girl then come to the front to attend your customers. I used to love this place but the more I go the more disappointed I am. DONT COME HERE

I thought this pizza spot was pricey, that is until I opened the box and took a bite. Pepperoni pizza; you won't see the pepperoni. But trust it's there, underneath the generous amount of cheese!My new favorite pizza spot!

So first off, I recently had fought throat cancer and it's been very difficult to find things I can eat once again as my tastebuds where not only destroyed from both radiation and chemotherapy but I also have no saliva glands which makes stuff a bit harder to eat, I e tried to get back to things that I used to eat prior to battling cancer, I had tried slices of pizza from various places and just could not handle the sauces used, the acidity burned like a tablespoon of habañero salsa, I continued to try various places in the hopes I could one day enjoy a slice of pizza well......today is that day! I ventured out and ordered two slices of pizza to bring home (up in Carmel Valley quite a ways from La Mesa) but man oh man has this hit the spot! for the very first time I am truly enjoying eating pizza once again, not just any pizza mind you...a D'Amatos slice of pizza, know the difference my Cancer Clinic I attend is located at Grossmont Hospital, which simply means I'll be back! For sure. I ca t express how overjoyed I currently am while enjoying g my slice of pizza. Thanks again D'Amatos pizza you've made me very happy once again.

I always love coming to this place they have the best epic family meal deal that includes the best pizzza ever and lasagna or manacotti or spaghetti! With two salads and breadsticks! Or garlic bread! Customer service is always kind ! Highly recommended

I may eat here TOO often but their pizza is SO good. Can't find a pizza like this anywhere else! The cheese is thick and greasy and they are very giving with toppings. I eat here at least once a week and it's very consistent. I usually or through DoorDash or pick up and it's always steaming hot and fresh either way. Counter help is always quick and kind when I pick up. I was so surprised to see negative reviews! Highly recommend and I'm a for life customer!!

Been a loyal customer for years however their service has gone down greatly including a huge turnover of staff. A few months ago, I tried calling an early order in to meet the mad rush of the weekend and they said they weren't taking any more orders and to call back later suggesting maybe an hour before I wanted a pizza. I said wait. I am calling early because I want pizza and you won't take my order? I called early to put my order in. He said well you can try later. Who turns away customers for calling in early? Decided to try again recently, even though I was disappointed last time. My husband called in the order for 2 medium pizzas with 3 toppings each and they charged him $52!! We could've gotten 2 large pizzas for that price. When I walked in to talk to them, they said well we "ASSUME" if you order 2 medium pizzas with 3 toppings that you just want the regular priced pizza but if you only order 2 mediums with 1 topping, we "ASSUME" that you want the $25 special. Verbatim they said "ASSUME" twice. So I said to the person at the front, you're basically "ASSUMING" what people want and not asking them or telling them about your specials?!? You are charging & "ASSUMING" at your convenience? You are not offering to tell them about the specials when they call? All they could say was I'm sorry ma'am. No, we are sorry for the inconvenience. No, we apologize for not telling you about the specials. No offer to try and make the customer happy or offer a solution. They could've said, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, can I give you some free breadsticks and handed me one of their flyers to remind me of their specials. I would've been happy that they tried to make the customer happy in the situation by offering some type of resolution but no, nothing. No ownership whatsoever. No customer service. So very disappointing since we have been ordering from them for over 25 years now. We'll be going to Pietro's from now on where we've never had an issue.

We normally get the family meal deal here which is fantastic but we have also ordered other pizzas other than the Pepperoni. The food has always been great, the location is easy to get too. The staff do a great job and we have never had an error in our order. They always seem to be busy when we go there. I remember going here over 30 yrs ago so I know they're doing it right. This place does not disappoint!

Service is HORRIBLE. I started an order online at 9:20.. Took a few minutes to put card info in, at 925 they said they are no longing taking orders. I called at 9:28, they said they are no longer taking orders. But they claim to be open until 10:00. If they are open until 10:00 shouldnt they take otders at 9:28?
