The drinks at the place are Everything !!! There's a long list of delicious looking cocktails I will be coming back just to try them. We arrived a little after 7pm (no reservation) and was seated in about ten minutes. I was surprised when our waitress Emma said they were doing a Last call for the kitchen and it was only 745pm. I know they close at 9 so I'm still not sure why we had to order all our food after only being there for 30 minutes.-I would've appreciated if the host informed us they would be closing the kitchen within the hour. Nonetheless, the food was delicious.I ordered the cocktail flight on (Fridays they offer it for $20) it was so good.I highly recommend it. It gives you a variety of yummy drinks with different liquors in each (vodka, tequila, captain Morgan). The rum cake is so moist and sweet ,we would've ordered another one to-go but it comes with ice cream. My mom loved her poke bowl and the ribs. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing. Honestly I was disappointed in the sourdough bread. It was so tough to cut but the strawberry horchata that comes with it 10/10!.We were able to take a 6 pack of their mixed drinks to-go. I love that we were able to pick a variety of drinks as opposed to the cases of one flavor drink. It was pretty busy when we dined but our server remained attentive and helpful. They have a cool store inside the restaurant with all of their merch from t-shirts to shakers to their own Tequila and more.I love the high ceilings and It was cool to see their own distillery. They even offer tours and tastings. For larger parties they have a cute and cozy area with a fire pit it looked so cool as we sat at our booth across. We will definitely be returning !

It's been a few years since I visited Cutwater but I had a good experience on my most recent visit. For my meal, I ordered their Devils Share Burger with a side salad (grape arugula salad). I like that you can make any of their main salads into a side salad for any dish. The burger was delicious - I especially liked the bun it came with. Service was good. We sat at the bar and it wasn't busy so we were served relatively quickly. There's ample seating inside and outside in the patio. It's a great location with plenty of space. They do have a parking lot but it can fill up quickly.

Solid place for a drink and a meal, although we were there as part of a large party so experience may not have been typical?Service was excellent although our prearranged menu had one hiccup, the alternate menu item was fine. Drink selection is quality, broad enough selection but did not feel super expansive; as part of a big group maybe we didn't see the full menu. Local beers all did the trick and some of the wine choices earned praise as well.Food was typical American brewery with just enough ethnic flair (curry chicken yet American cuts of chicken) to be pretty good, and the semi-outdoor patio area was beautiful on a sunny day.

Doing a birthday trip and HAD to come to my favorite distillery. I'm from Texas and was so sad when they discontinued the Gin and Tonic in the can. Got here and saw the wall of spirits and how wide of a selection they have. We sat down for drinks and a snack and were waited on by Taylor who might I say, is a wonder server. Im so glad we had her. She's very warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a Gin and Tonic and my husband got a Tiki Rum Punch. Nothing special to the rum punch. It came out of a can but my Gin and tonic were hand made. It was a little bit more tart than you standard G&T. We ordered and shared the Garlic parmesan wings and boy were they delicious! Extra saucy and lots of fresh garlic. The ambiance was so chill and awesome. This is my kinda place. When I come back to visit, I will be sure to come back here.

This review is long overdue. Been there twice now and have enjoyed a variety of drinks and food menu items. Likes: easy parking, huge venue, great food. Dislikes: service was a little slower then I expected but in all fairness I tend to go in large parties of 10+ people. Location is also a bit of a drive or Uber for me but worth the ride. Great place to host a gathering or birthday party. Great friend of mine hosted her Halloween birthday themed celebration and we had an amazing time. I like the name of the drinks as well. Very well thought out and nicely decorated during the holiday seasons.

This distillery/restaurant is gorgeous. It's located in the bizarro world of Miramar, where gun stores, massage parlors, vape shops, sofa stores, and craft breweries all coexist. But Cutwater has plenty of free parking so you have no excuse not to try them out.I have had this place bookmarked for years but have avoided them because I am not a fan, whatsoever, of their canned cocktails. I realize that is a terrible reason for not visiting (I mean, they don't force you to drink them) but I finally broke down and came for lunch. The place is beautiful. The food is top notch. The cocktails (not the canned ones) are very, very good. They also offer several crafty mocktails. Our service was great. The cutlery is excellent. Even the napkins are high quality. It's a distillery but it is absolutely kid friendly. No worries there. We tried the flatbread with sundried tomatoes and it was excellent. We also tried a BBQ bacon burger that was tender and terrific. The mocktail we tried was very nice and the Georgia Peach bourbon-y cocktail was boozy and delicious.I mean, everything was very well done here. I still may not like their canned drinks but their restaurant and distillery won me over. Miramar is a weird area but if you do your homework, you can find some gems there.

Food: 3.5Service: 4Ambiance: 4Had reservations on a weeknight and we were seated promptly. Ambiance is dimly lit but fun and lively. Customer service from start to finish was excellent. We were quite thirsty this night and got a few drinks all of which were delicious! We got the adobo fries, fried burrata and flatbread. Appetizers were delicious but did not blow me away, but that was wasn't an issue because service was excellent, ambiance was fun and drinks were yummy! We look forward to returning and trying entrees on the menu.

I've only known Cutwater for its strong and tasty canned beverages from parties during my college days! I would always get their margarita-flavored drink. Little did I know that they had a restaurant in San Diego with unique cocktails and food. It's been packed both times that I've been here, so it's ideal to make a reservation via the Yelp app in advance. I've been here twice and have made reservations both times. Their Tres Amigos flight includes three of their cocktails: Verdita, Cantarito, and Como La Flor. All of them were sweet and strong, just as I like them! The Cantarito has a tajin taste to it. My girlfriend enjoyed an espresso martini and loved it! As for the food, you have to order the potato sourdough bread! They have monthly butter flavors but all of them that I tried are pretty sweet! My favorite seasonal one was their ube butter. You'll have to bring that back. I also tried their Cacio E Pepe fries, which were well seasoned but nothing crazy. Their Devil's Share burger comes with arugula, crispy fried onions, aged white cheddar, garlic aioli, and bacon jam. The bread is super thick, but I'm unsure how to describe it.

Unique tasty cocktails, average price around $15 each, cool atmosphere. Try to make a reservation if you can especially on a weekend. Dragons breath was great but a little sweet, their canned cocktails are also very good and strong. Food is great too.
