Love, love, love the chocolate cupcake with the pudding filling!!! They have the best cupcakes here and they even make cakes! Beautiful cakes! I had a 6 inch cake made for my birthday recently. It was so gorgeous I didn't want to cut into it! Chocolate cake with triple chocolate buttercream cream frosting layers! OMG!!! Best cake I've ever had!

This was my first visit here. This shopping center can get pretty buy, but you can usually find parking. The service is friendly, and the bakery is well lit and inviting. I ate lunch at a nearby restaurant and treated myself to a cupcake and was glad I did!The cupcake frosting was delicious and the cupcake was a great texture. I was really hoping it wouldn't be super sugary, and it was just right!I'm glad it's so close to me and will definitely try their other flavors.

The best part about their cupcakes: the whipped cream on top! It's so light and fluffy, not too sweet, and simply yummy! The cake itself was a tiny bit dry for me, but it was still delicious. Purchased the tiramisu and strawberry shortcake cupcakes. The boyfriend and I loved them both. $4 a cupcake really isn't that bad at all for a cupcakery. I would even consider that a good price in comparison to other cupcakeries.I'll be back when I'm in the area!

Very average cupcakes/experience in my opinion. I've been to Cupcakes a La Yola on at least three separate occasions, ordering a couple of different flavors each visit.Unfortunately, each time I've been underwhelmed. Customer service has been "meh." Inside is small but clean. But the cupcakes are average, below average really and pretty disappointing. Nearly $5 per cupcake (which isn't an issue) it's the fact the cupcakes are 1. Below average size for the price 2. Very dry (maybe over refrigerated and kept on the shelf too long)3. Flavor is just ok 4. (And personally) The frosting just almost too airy, like a very light whipped creamI've gone the second and third time because it's one of the only cupcake shops around. But three strikes you're out, unfortunately.

Devastated that the Poway location is closed but SO MUCH love for this business and their delicious cupcakes. The lemon is my hands down fav and I often craved it so much that I'd order it to be delivered to my house on days when I wanted to treat myself. With the closure of the local to me location up in Poway, I guess my waistline is saved, but oh my heart! I'm devoted though, so I'll still order whenever I'm down South and bring their products home to enjoy. If they even make it out of the car I'll be surprised! Home Bakers, this is a shop you can really enjoy if you're too busy to create in your own kitchen. The whole family is a fan. Pardon the word, but these are moist (sorry) flavorful and fresh everytime. Their frosting is quality and they can decorate a cake like nobody's business! We'll be getting my daughter's cake from them this year because I recently saw a Frozen design on their instagram that was like none other I'd seen around (and would not attempt myself.)

The entire icing/frosting came off and was on my fork, it completely separated from the bread !!! lol No flavor, it's moist but there is nooooooo favor. I was better off going to Walmart . Will not be returning.

Vegan cakes turned out great. The chocolate and the red velvet were much better than the vanilla (imo) but the vanilla was still good. Would use them again.

The wedding cake was absolutely beautiful!My husband and I loved it and our guests did too. It was so nicely done, cut very neatly, and tasted great! Delivery was right on time, and we were so happy with it. We got the 8" cake since we had a very small wedding, and it was the perfect size. All of their cupcake flavors are also delicious. Highly recommend cupCAKES a la Yola!
