Culinary Gangster

Every time I eat in or order delivery, the flavors are amazing, prompt service/delivery, and the staff (eat in) are all polite and competent.This place always delights. I enjoy the food and service every time I eat in or order delivery!I had another delicious lunch today, and now with the cooler weather...the sidewalk seating is an excellent option for dining.Aside from ordering takeout 10-15 times a month for lunch, I make it over to sit down and dine at Culinary Gangster. Once again, they delivered excellent quality food and service! If you have not tried this fantastic casual dining restaurant...you must!

Had lunch at Culinary Gangster and even before eating I knew it would be good as they had a full house. The food was delicious. I had a southwest wrap and my wife had a gyro. They were each very tasty and one of the best wraps I've ever had. The pasta salad was really good too. After lunch my wife and I said to each other we'll be back soon to try out other items on the menu.The service was great and the food came out quickly. We only wish they were closer to us as live on the Southwest side of Phoenix.

I stopped by here last night with a party of 9 for dinner. We were staying at the great wolf lodge nearby and wanted a place to eat outside of the lodge. So I fired up Yelp and found culinary gangster which had quite the interesting menu. So we headed over to the restaurant at shortly after 5. Culinary Gangster is located in a strip mall and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was hot out, our party of 9 ended up using almost all the table seating inside, although there was still 3 booths with seats for 4 each. Other than that there was a counter to order, a fountain drink machine and a tv on the wall.For dinner on this day I decided to start off with the popcorn cauliflower and then went with the Buffalo salad for my entree. The popcorn cauliflower was described as Rice Flour Tempura Cauliflower | Scallions | Black Sesame Seeds | Sriracha Aioli while my Buffalo salad was described as Buffalo Grilled Chicken Breast | Romaine Lettuce | Celery | Carrots | Crumbled Blue Cheese | Croutons | Gangster Ranch Dressing. My popcorn cauliflower came out first and I thought that it tasted pretty good. The cauliflower itself was super crispy and I liked the sauce on it. It wasn't necessarily spicy per se, but was still good. Then the black sesame seeds added a nice pop of color to the dish but I am not sure that I got much flavor for them. After I was about half way through that my salad arrived to our table. The dish itself was massive and I definitely could taste all of the ingredients in it. The celery added some nice crunch and I liked whenever I got bites of blue cheese. Then the chicken tasted good but once again I didn't feel like it was too spicy. Still I finished the whole thing and by that time was stuffed.The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed both of the items that I had here and would be interested in trying some of their burgers or crazier food items.

While visiting our kids in Phoenix we needed a quick but satisfying lunch. We stumbled upon this cute place.Since hubby is gf- it's always a bit challenging to find something for him to eat. Since we love any kind of Mediterranean food we stopped here. Hubby had a Greek salad w/ gyro and I had the gyro sandwich. Both were fresh and tasty. We liked it so much that we got it again for lunch the next day!!Wish they had a franchise in Temecula , CA.

We stopped by Culinary Gangster on our way back from Sedona for a quick bite. For a Saturday afternoon, they were quite busy but had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoors had misters to keep you cool on this warm summer day. The menu is expansive and has a lot to offer. I appreciated that you could have some items served as a wrap vs salad. I enjoyed the Caesar wrap. Having read some reviews, they now offer original Caesar dressing with their house-made Caesar with balsamic. Pro-tip: Yelp check-in for 10% off your first order!

Went with a friend for lunch. Very busy. I ordered a turkey sandwich, and my friend ordered a gyro. Sandwiches are very tasty, but the question I have is, "Where's the beef?" Very little meat on my turkey sandwich, lots of lettuce and cucumber. My friend had a slice of tomato and very little meat and onion. Again, it was very tasty and fresh, but it was overpriced for what you got. It's not a place to sit back and have a conversation. Sandwiches come with pasta salad or side salad.

Yum! Casual spot that I would highly recommend. Went for lunch and it was busy, but still able to get a table. Limited indoor seating though. Really enjoyed the Street Gyros and pasta salad! It was a good size for lunch that definitely filled me up. The Cheddar Bacon Cheeseburger was delicious as well and tender. The buns had a little crisp around the edges that was nice. Friendly staff!

We're on the second day of our week long trip in Scottsdale and about 7 of us decided to hit the gym. We were in need of a local spot and this one was perfect.Everyone loved it because some of us aimed for, our version of health food, which was a Big Mac Salad. It had all of the components you'd expect minus the carb heavy bun, not to mention it had two cheesy patties on top so I was satisfied. On the other end of things my family friend got, I forget the name, a super cheesy burger. That wasn't the healthiest decision but it just goes to show there was something for everyone. The service was friendly even when we asked for more chicken in our meal they fixed the issue right away.This place is awesome and we will come back. They know how to an appeal to an entire group of people's tastes and preferences with ease

I had high expectations based on the reviews so I actually left this place a little disappointed. Ive really struggled between 3-4 stars. However, the food was still good and I would go back. 5 stars: the popcorn cauliflower. Absolutely delicious!!4 stars: the wrap, soup, and quinoa bowl. 2-3 stars: kids cheeseburger and pasta salad. It was a completely bland side dish and kids meal. I can understand the kids meal because some kids can't stand flavor, but I didn't understand the plain pasta salad. Especially after enjoying the cauliflower and wrap. This place is an order at the counter and then find your table type of place. Service was good and the restaurant is clean and nice. I could see myself coming back and changing my opinion after trying some more items, but like I said, I was a little underwhelmed.

I had a fantastic meal at Culinary Gangster, trying their Cheddar Bacon Cheeseburger, Street Gyros, and pasta salad. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was edgy and fun, making it a great place to hang out. The service was top-notch; the staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring a great dining experience.
