My employer hired Culinary Elite (Dougie's Best Cheesesteaks) to cater an employee appreciation lunch.Three guys and a gal set up shop with two EZ-Ups and a couple of flat tops for cooking. There were four sandwich offerings on the menu board. Classic Philly: steak, onions, & white American cheeseThe Works: steak, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms & white American cheeseBBQ Chicken: chicken, onions, bell peppers, BBQ sauce & white American cheesePhilly Bomb: steak, onions bell peppers, mushrooms, cherry peppers & white American cheese. All served on a quality Amoroso roll.I chose the Classic. It was a very good sandwich. The roll was excellent. The meat was tender, seasoned and grilled nicely. It was a little light on the onions and cheese, that'd be my only small complaint.Would I recommend? Absolutely.

Looking for something to eat for breakfast at the Poway Farmer's Market and we stumbled upon this Philly Cheesesteak place. I know, you're thinking, a philly cheesesteak for breakfast? Heck yeah! Why not?Since we didn't want to eat too much and wanted to try other things, we opted to share one Philly Cheesesteak. In it's simplified form, steak and cheese. It was so yummy! My husband even declared it the best he's had in San Diego. The guy asked if we were sharing and even split it on trays for us which was thoughtful and nice. The pickled veggies on the side was a nice touch and different. In fact, after we grabbed all our produce from the farmers market, we almost went back to purchase ANOTHER philly cheesesteak. Haha. But we had some other plans after so we didn't. Will definitely come back!

I lived in south NJ and was in Philly all the time for over 20 years, and honestly even the very best cheesesteaks never really knocked me out - sorry Philly.BUT tried one of these at the OB farmers market not only was I totally knocked out and I keeping thinking about when I can go get another....answer being not soon enough. Both authentic and creative, you can easily taste the quality and effort; really the best ever!

Tried Culinary Elite for the first time at the Otay Ranch Farmer's Market. Out of all the places that were there, I am so glad I decided to pick up a Philly cheesesteak from them. I got "The Works", which has steak, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and white American cheese. It also came with some pickled veggies. It was so delicious! The cheesesteak was made fresh. It was nice and warm, which was nice because it was a cold day. The steak was cooked perfectly, the bread was nice and soft, the cheese was nice and melt-y, and the veggies in the cheesesteak were also cooked perfectly. I had no idea it came with pickled veggies. The veggies were good too! They had a nice little kick to them as well. I would definitely recommend trying them out if you see them at your local farmer's market. 10/10.

Great "veggie" Philly Cheese Steak. The pickled veggies made theSandwich unique, spicy and delicious. The owners are friendly and enthusiastic about their food and making sure you love what they have to offer. I can't speak to the traditional sandwich because I'm a vegetarian. I can say in observing others as they enjoy and devour their sambos, it's just as tasty as the veg Philly I experienced.

Perfect. Grew up in Philly. The bread is everything. The folks running the show. Amazing. They know their way around a great sandwich. They have wiz...just gotta be native enough to ask for it. Can't wait to see these guys open a hard location. Great cheese steak. Can't say it enough.

These guys are fabulous! They recently did a event for me with over 100 people and knocked it out of the park. They show up with their own equipment, food, self contained, with no worries attached! The food was excellent the price is extremely reasonable and it was a complete success at the party. Highly recommended

Decent steak! Really hard to fly the rolls in frozen from philly and not get that frozen texture. Hard to overcome as it's noticeable. Either way it was cooked well and all other ingredients are spot on. Decent replacement from back home but there are a few other options worth trying around SD.

Outrageous cheese steaks! Culinary Elite was the food truck today at Belching Beaver Brewery in Vista, CA and absolutely killed it. Simplified menu with about 4-5 choices was a big plus for me since you know everything is going to be good and ingredients will be fresher. I went with "The Works" and it was outstanding - tons of melted American cheese, generous caramelized onions, and delicious sauteed mushrooms...This thing was loaded but never got messy or runny and the bread never went soggy. Plus you get a nice bonus side of pickled vegetables, which was a really nice touch. Prices were $10-12 for the cheesesteak, perhaps a touch pricey, but the quality was outstanding. Highly recommended!
