If you are a huge fan of French cuisine, like I am and want to dine at home, then Eurofood Depot Gourmet Market is for you! Located in the business area of Miramar or Mira Mesa, this tiny little market sponsored by the French society of San Diego carries authentic, shipped from France merchandise at somewhat reasonable prices.I have been shopping here for several years, and I am always happy with the quality of their products; the freshness, taste, appearance, and the extremely friendly and helpful staff that are more than willing to assist you. Once you enter this tiny establishment, you will be hooked as I was many years ago. Inside you will find an assortment of meats, cheeses, French butter, jams, preserves, cookies, duck rigglets, various pates, sauces, pastries, dry goods, candies, frozen foods (i.e, duck confit, sausages, escargot, veggies, etc.), oils, pastas, canned seafoods (tuna, sardines, cuttlefish...), and numerous seasonal items. Have a look at my photos and you will see how rewarding a visit could be.Highly recommended.

2/17/23 - this is my 2nd time here. I went here before Christmas. Small little hidden French store with a lot of different items to hunt for. French Soaps to Escargot to Caviar. I bought a little of everything. Great service and I like browsing in there. See the photos. Enjoy!! Be Emily in Paris

I was on the hunt for my favorite Lavender Lattè syrup and I found it here. I was so intrigued by everything in the store, I didn't take any pictures there. I did however come home with the most amazing Flammekueche Tarte Flambee, I have ever had. So good,I ate before I could take a picture, sorry. The service was also impeccable! If your looking for your tastebuds to be transported take a trip to the 805 freeway to this gem of a store. You will not regret the goodies you come home with.

I've been wanting to browse Eurofood Depot for the longest time and finally went so I could put together a charcuterie box for my dad's birthday. For a small place tucked in an expanse of Miramar business parks, I was surprised by how much they carried--snacks, cheese, cereal, condiments, pickles, drinks, wine, cured meats, frozen foods...even soaps, laundry detergents, and other sundries. The owner was very sweet and willing to show me around the store and help translate any unfamiliar terms I saw on the labels. I ended up leaving with a black olive tapenade, mini brioche toasts, truffle salami, a tube of chestnut paste, and for fun, fraise tagada (a well-known strawberry candy made by Haribo that is well-loved by French folks). Everything was fairly priced, and the truffle salami was especially a big hit. I was also happy to see that they had beurre d'isigny, which I have always wanted to purchase (I have heard amazing things about this French butter with coarse sea salt). I'm excited to come back to get some butter, mustard, and cornichons!

I visited Paris twice and I loved certain type of tuna can that unfortunately could not find here. However, I found out that there is a French market here that sales it. Today I visited Eurofood Market for the first time. It is kinda hidden in a residential/business area and very small. They sale French groceries, candies, breads, cakes, and many other French products. They even do home delivery. The owner, Loui, is very nice and he is from France. Prices are relatively high, but it's worth it. Free parking available.

This little market was wonderful. First time there and I believe she was the owner gave us a tour and explained everything in the store. We took home some wonderful French cheeses and pâtes. We will definitely return.

Covid 22nd reviewMy French friend was in heaven here. All the hard to find French goodies were here for her. I had fun looking at and learning about french foods. Escargot, duck, rillette, St. Michel...Also, the free cookie with check in was by St. Michel. Very cool!

This place is tiny! There isn't a huge selection owing to the small footprint but their prices were reasonable, the proprietor was extremely helpful, and everything that we bought was excellent. I'm still kicking myself that I didn't buy flash frozen croissants shipped from France while I was there.

If you're French, or have lived in France, or are looking for the real products that French people miss, this may be the only place in San Diego County where you can find them. Naturally some items are expensive, but the prices are comparable to or better than what you'd find elsewhere outside of France. The owners are very helpful and are happy to answer questions, make recommendations, and (if it's not too crowded), just share their appreciation of life and good food. No matter how much an item costs, if you crave it, it's going to be less than a plane flight, and no passport required!
