Cucina Casalinga

I hosted a cooking class/party at Cucina Casalinga for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect. Michela's skills and talents both in cooking, and perhaps more important, in making people feel welcomed and included were obvious. As she coached us through making pasta and sauce she laughed and joked with the guests, ensuring that everyone was included and enjoying themselves. She helped me plan the menu, worked with me to arrange for flowers, and wine. She and her staff cleaned up the whole thing, leaving us nothing to do but have more prosecco and enjoy ourselves. Overall the experience of working with Cucina Casalinga and Michela could not have been better in any way. I am a fan!

This was the second time we attended a cooking class with Michela and it once again did not disappoint at all. We opted for a private class with 10 attendees to celebrate a birthday. Michela was very accommodating of our group and did a fantastic job and ensuring everyone was involved and participated in the cooking experience. We hand made cicatielli pasta with a delicious sauce and saltimbocca alla romana. Everything was delightful and overall it was a fantastic experience and something absolutely worth repeating. I would highly recommend Michela's cooking class for a fun evening with friends or for a corporate outing with clients or colleagues.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!I took a chanterelle mushroom cooking class from Michela Tartaglia, owner of Cucina Casalinga, last November, and had such a great time. Because Michela is from Italy, all of the dishes we cooked were Italian based. Thanks to her wonderful personality, patience, and how much fun the class was, I decided to utilize Michela's services for a surprise birthday party for my husband just recently. Once again, the setting was the Pike Place Atrium Kitchen, which is perfect for a group of people to come together, socialize, cook, drink and eat. Michela and I planned the menu, she did the grocery and wine shopping, and then oversaw a group of 12 of us in making colorful crostini, gnocchi (Yum), saltimbocca, and an orange fennel salad. Everybody said it was the most fun they have ever had at a birthday party for adults!!! Thank you Michela for making it worry free for me and such a wonderful time for all of us!!!P. S. If you're looking for somebody to come into your house and cook a special meal for you and your guests, she can also do that!!!

Michela is a delight - fun and knowledgable! Our class was very hands-on and approachable. We will be going back, this time with friends!
