Crown Bistro

Cute bistro with so much charm!They had normal portion sizes (which is hard to find in the US as a whole) and the dishes left us feeling satisfied, but not overly stuffed! Service is quick, super friendly, and the outdoor patio is a sunny dream!

Would not return or recommend.One good thing was the staff but that was it.. first they bring out dirty utensils and even after exchanging them they looked the same. I got a coffee and didn't realize how dirty it was until more than half way being done with it.. same thing with a glass cup for orange juice DISGUSTING... second of all the food was .. I can't even put it into words we got machaca plate and it looks like dog vomit, we also got huevos rancheros.. PLEASE it was so sour and you can't really mess up beans or at least I thought you couldn't until here..

What a little gem on Coronado! This cute restaurant has amazing food with lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. Great service and great location. It was busy for breakfast on a Friday morning, and we waited about 20 mins. Totally worth it. Highly recommend!

I would not return. All the food we ordered was a huge miss. Very upsetting. Worst part is being served with dirty cups and utensils.

Great food! Excellent location (very easy to find). Prices are reasonable! Big portions so lots to take away or share perhaps.

Came here for a late brunch on a Monday. The place is cute and small, a cozy atmosphere. I felt mixed about both the food and the service, would give 3.5 stars if I could. They seemed slightly understaffed and though it wasn't busy it took a while to get seated because no one was coming to the hostess stand. Once seated it wasn't clear who our server was so we kept having to flag people down but everyone was super friendly and attentive once we did get their attention. We split the special omelet and special frittata and both were delicious. However the pancakes were not good at all. Fluffy, yes, but as others have noted bitter and bland. The selection of mimosas is fun. Fine but probably wouldn't rush back.

Found this place on a whim as we woke up wanting to eat some place we've never been.This is located on a busy road but surprisingly the venue wasn't that busy. We arrived around 11 and had a 30 min wait to be seated. We didn't go deep inside but there seems to be three locations to sit, immediately outside by the sidewalk, in a shaded area between the outdoor seating and indoor seating, and then inside. Sidewalk seating had 3 tables, shaded area had 6, and unsure how many are indoors. I say this because as we waited there wasn't ANY shade to wait and there were only 2 umbrella shades for 3 tables and that could be (& was as we waited) really unbearable in this San Diego sun / heat.Once we sat down, our waitress took our order almost immediately and was nice and patient. We ordered what you see in the pics and I will say - the French toast is FILLING! Corned beef hash tasted a bit off to me...like, grainy almost, and we both didn't get our eggs cooked to how we asked but no biggie.Overall - I'd try it again because their lunch menu looked really good but overheard they only serve their lunch menu Mon-Fri.Nice way to start the morning!

Their breakfast is very good! We got the avocado toast, machaca, pancakes and coffee. I wouldn't recommend the huevos rancheros though.

Would not go back . Corned beef hash was overly salty Waffle tasted as if it was from a mix ( not homemade taste Waitress and atmosphere was nice but it didn't make up for poor tasting overpriced food

The workers were very welcoming and friendly! The workers spoke Spanish, were personable, and offered great recommendations. The food was delicious, a bit pricey, but overall a great experience. We'll be coming back!
