I love finding spots like this place, you can tell it's family owned and taken care of by people that enjoy what they're doing. It's so nice being able to order food and feel like it's made with love. The owner is so friendly and any time we have stopped in he gives exceptional service. Even when they are out of something he makes sure to offer other options and goes above and beyond to make your experience a good one.

I came here for breakfast with my mom. The breakfast muffin and breakfast burrito were pretty good. Everything tasted fresh and was made to order. Nice flavors and textures all around. The americano I ordered was incredibly hot (the woman told me this when she handed it to me, but the drink took 10 minutes to be drinkable).The inside of the shop has no seating as far as I know, which is an apparent holdover from Covid. I asked the man working if my mother could sit in a fold-out chair at a small table in the corner. He agreed, though the woman who'd made the americano told me later that no one can sit inside.In any case, this place is mostly set up for people living in the apartments surrounding it, since parking isn't obvious at all. That said, you can park in guest spots inside the parking garage and walk over. I'll have to come back sometime and try out a cold deli sandwich.

And it makes sense when you eat their food: An intelligent mix of classic deli sandwiches, specials, and new favorites.Take for instance Al's Famous creation - a club sandwich piled high with meat, bacon, avocado, and slathered in a secret Italian dressing sauce. It's the pinnacle of sandwich comfort food, and a lifelong effort dialing in the perfect textures, flavors, bites, and portion. They also call back to their heritage with a Falafel Friday special - fresh, crisp falafel right out of the fryer slapped between fluffy pita, homemade pickles, and a tangy yogurt sauce. It always runs out before close.Al & Nelly are super kind, running a tight, clean, and efficient operation. The amount of food you get with these sandwiches at these prices makes this deli meat pound-for-pound one of the best spots in San Diego for your breakfast and lunch desires.

What a great deli!! Not only are the sandwiches delicious, the customer service is a 10/10. We chatted with the owners and staff for quite some time. What wonderful people. My husband and I ordered the Reuben and the avocado + cheese sandwich. They were so good! We can't wait to return and try more items off of the menu.Thanks again!!

My partner and I were in San Diego for the weekend and our local friends took us here. I asked for a spinach wrap with ham and pepper jack. Sandwiches often leave me unsatisfied but this was sooo good. Great value for huge portions too. I had enough for a lunch and a breakfast. We ordered ahead and the food was ready for pickup when we got there. It's a cute little deli nestled in a residential area -- most people probably would not know about this place if they hadn't lived in the area. It's definitely a local gem I would come back to!

Rachel and rueben is where its at!Rachel is the perfect contrast of swert and savory. The smoked pastrami combined with the sweet refreshing coleslaw makes me feel like ill never get sick of this sandwich. The rueben, made with corned beef offers the savory and sour, loaded with saurkruat. The sandwiches may not seem like a lot of food but im always feeling pretty full afterwards. Service is also top notch! Always have had a good experience here. No toddler specific menu items but the french fries here worked great

Every apartment complex has a swimming pool and its own deli, right?That's right, this is a sandwich shop located within an apartment complex. These aren't exactly budget apartments but this is still quite an amenity.For parking, drive past the restaurant and make a right into the garage. There are a few spots specifically reserved for customers right inside the entrance.Lots of options here. There are a number of special sandwich creations or you can just make your own. The Al's Famous Club (turkey, bacon, avocado) is big and delicious. You got your choice of bread and yes, you should get the brown squaw bread. All of the ingredients were very fresh.Very friendly service and they crank these sandwiches out quickly. Prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality. Really good stuff.

I've been to Crossroads twice and both times had an amazing sandwich. First time I had the Rachel and second time I had the Chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich. All of the ingredients were of high quality and cooked to perfection!

I had some friends in town, with two little girls, so we wanted something casual and easy for lunch. This was close to their hotel, and had great reviews so we headed that way. Parking is a little difficult; you need to look for the guest parking with Crossroads Deli parking signs. Once we were inside, our experience was top notch. The gentleman working the counter was very helpful, and very patient with the little ones ordering. All of the sandwiches were delicious and reasonably priced. Two of us had the chicken bacon ranch, and well, we smashed those! Absolutely recommend this deli for some great sandwiches.

I love food and the son. The mom is rude. She tried to lock us out and tell us to go away because she thought we were using her establishment to run from a huge bug. Then I told her I wanted to order. I got a white hot chocolate for my toddler and it was some type of coffee but check this out she complained about how we were standing outside of the gate and it being too far.
