Love that this restaurant is now in Del Mar!Farewell to terrible Convoy parking. Came here twice already. Took my family and then we took our visiting priest here with some friends. They LOVED the chicken. We're tried almost every flavor. The honey garlic one was a favorite. Go alone. Go with friends. Share chicken and salad and you'll all be quite happy.

I don't get Korean Fried Chicken often but was not disappointed! The portions are pretty big and the servers are so kind. We came on Tuesday Night and didn't know they had Trivia Tuesdays so that made our dinner pretty entertaining. It was pretty busy so do expect to have a small wait if your party is big.I think my fav part of the meal was the tater tots. They were sooo crispy in the outside yet not burned. Don't know how they did it but it was very good. The tenders are also pretty large in size which makes up for the cost of the combo.I would come again to try other flavors and maybe even order some drinks off the happy hour menu.

Cross Street has the best Korean fried chicken in San Diego, IMHO ... one of the best in the United States. We've eaten lunch here several times and enjoyed it every time. The chicken wings are done perfectly, double fried, and tossed in one of 9 sauces (or Plain). We enjoy the two hottest sauces -- Seoul Spicy and Thai Chili. One of our favorite dishes here is the Seoul Spicy Sandwich (5/5), which is battered and fried chicken thigh, Seoul Spicy sauce, cole slaw, and pickled radish on a brioche bun. Excellent! But Cross Street is more than Korean fried chicken. It has a full bar and good beer selection, a varied menu, and TVs for sports viewing. There's both indoor and patio seating. Service tends to be very good.

Blessed that God allowed me to be the father to amazing kids and that alone is a gift in itself, so I don't really expect much when celebrating Father's Day. There is one thing we usually do as a family and that's either eat out somewhere or we have takeout. For this year's celebration, I asked to dine at Cross Street Chicken and Beer followed by ice cream at Handel's. Cross Street has been on my Yelp bookmark list for quite sometime, so I was glad to chow down on its grub for the first time. Had a really good experience celebrating Father's Day there.Cross Street specializes in Korean style chicken and is a small restaurant chain in San Diego. I'm aware of two locations with one in the Convoy Asian district and the other where we chose to eat at, which was the location found within the Del Mar Highlands Town Center outdoor strip mall. Cross Street is located on the 2nd floor of this center just above the area where streams of water are shot into the air for kids to play under. The restaurant is next to The Melt, Davanti Enoteca, Toasted, and the Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas. What I really like about the Del Mar location compared to the Convoy location is the abundant parking. Cool thing about Cross Street is that you can make reservations on their Yelp site. As you enter the restaurant, it gives off an industrial feel with a wide open ceiling containing fans and covered exhaust tubing; there is corrugated metal just above the kitchen and the bar; there is plenty of table top seating, bar seating, and outdoor seating; and there are large cartoonish statues. The young lady who was our waitress was friendly, attentive, and provided noteworthy customer service. My family's go to Korean chicken establishment is located in Irvine and we try to eat at Chan Chan everytime we're in the area. I've eaten at a couple of Korean chicken restaurants here in San Diego and none of them compared to our fave. As I stated above, this was my first time dining at Cross Street and although it also did not hold a candle to Chan Chan, there were several positives about the food we ate here. For our dishes, we selected the following: 6 piece Korean Fried Chicken Tenders where we chose Soy Garlic and Thai Chili as our two flavors; Kimchi Fried Rice; Bulgogi Fried Rice; and Cross Street Tots. The chicken tenders were generous portions and both the soy garlic and Thai chili were flavorful. The chicken was not tender and I had to use a knife to to cut into them, but I thought they were decent. The Thai Chili wasn't spicy for me, but my wife thought it was. The kimchi fried rice comes with kimchi, gochujang, spam, peas, carrots, red onion, and sesame served with a sunny side egg. This was one of the star dishes for me because it was fresh, had a little kick, memorable, and tasty. The bulgogi fried rice comes with bulgogi beef, red onions, peas, carrots, garlic, and sunny side egg served in a hot stone bowl. I enjoyed this fried rice also, but it could have used more salt. Both rice entrees are for single diners, but with two dishes, it was more than enough for my family of three. Both rice dishes paired well with the chicken. Another star entree for me was the Cross Street tots and I highly recommend it. The Cross Street tots are blanketed with caramelized onions, cheese, and drizzled with house sauce. These were divine and finger licking delicious.I was blessed to continue our tradition of eating somewhere to celebrate Father's Day. I was glad to finally experience Cross Street and although it fell short of our favorite Korean Fried Chicken restaurant, there were plenty of highlights to warrant a return visit.

Came here on a Friday night during happy hour-- the place wasn't packed but people were starting to trickle in. The staff here are really hardworking! They do their best to stay on top of everything and you can tell they care about great service. The Spicy Chick sandwich is definitely superior out of the sandwiches. It's packed with flavor and sauces and the spice gives it a nice kick. The tater tots are make to perfection and have a satisfying crunch with each bite. Love the casual atmosphere and this place is so versatile, whether you're coming for a date night, family dinner, or a casual meal.

It may be just a matter of taste, but I did not care for the chicken wings here at all. I thought Bonchon was much better. I've only eaten here once for lunch. I may give it another try since it is close to my house.

Craving for Korean Tofu soup and didn't want to drive too far. Was looking for a good substitution.Overall, food quality is 3.5; serving 4; ambiance 4 (has a sports bar vibe).Bibimbop(stone rice pot): the pot is not hot enough to make a single burnt rice. Taste OK.Cheese tater tots was excellent when it was right out of the kitchen and hot.Seoul spicy sandwich: hugh portion but not spicy at all to the person's standard.Service was good. We got seated promptly. Food orders were at good time interval.

Pretty empty on a Saturday evening. We were craving Korean Fried Chicken and Cross Street offers vegan options so we decided to go.I ordered a 4 piece tender with a side of cole slaw. I asked for the soy garlic flavor (can't mix and match). It was decently good, but not mind blowing. I didn't like the slaw as it was just cabbage with mayo on top... should've ordered something else. Although I was a bit disappointed with the food, the service was amazing. Our server was very sweet and attentive. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside next to the fire pit.Probably would not return as there are other great Korean fried chicken restaurants in the area, but I still give this place props for offering vegan/vegetarian options as a fried chicken establishment.

cross street used to be my go-to, but i think this location specifically has fallen off a bit. the chicken is still good, but the portion sizes have gotten pathetically small. for 10 piece wings, those wings are incredibly tiny. the gyoza was decent.in my experience, the drinks are quite yummy (mr. steal yo gurt is delicious!) and happy hour pricing is great. but for a restaurant with chicken in its name, i would expect the chicken to be my favorite thing there. employees are all great and the service is usually quick. i like the ambiance and interior design of the restaurant, it has nice vibes. overall, i would come back with friends but would not crave/seek out cross street by myself.

Had a great experience here! The sandwiches were delicious and full of flavor. The spice level was on point, and were well balanced with the crunchy pickles and the coleslaw. Fries were tasty also! Fast and friendly service topped it all off. Will be back!
