Croissant or waffle? Why not both!I have seen and tried the "croffle" in other states and it still blows my mind that someone thought of baking a waffle from thousand layers (aka croissant) pastry. Me and my bf decided to try their regular plain croffle and the strawberry one with Nutella drizzle. The croffle itself is crunchy on the outside and super airy inside. The cream and strawberries were super fresh - great pairing to the croffle!Pastries are on point but their tea is lackluster. The honey lemon tea barely has any honey nor tea resemblance in it. Service was very friendly and giving out free samples upon request. I'll definitely come back for more!

Croissant + Waffle = CroffleUnique and cute spot for food if you're stopping by the Railway Heights market. FYI the taro boba tea can be adjusted for sweetness if you need it to be less sweet!

Cute little stand on the first floor of Railway Heights right before you take the stairs up! They specialize in making a fusion of croissant + waffle = croffle! I tried the firecracker croffle, which consisted of blueberries, strawberries, and whip cream. The fruits were very fresh and perfectly sweet. I liked the whip cream too. Perfect consistency and not too heavy. I really like the texture of the croffle. It has the outer layer of a waffle and the inner layer has that flaky/layered croissant feel. I did wish the croffle was a bit warmer to feel more freshly made, but it still tasted great!I also got a black milk tea with boba. It was so delicious and I highly recommend!

I heard about this place through yelp (didn't even know railway heights existed), and was excited to try a croffle for the first time. A cross between waffle and croissant, the pastry is both creative and tasty. My husband got the Nutella and I got the s'mores, and both were pretty good. I will say, my husbands was lighter and more fluffed than mine. My s'mores one was more flat than I think it was supposed to be and almost had an eggy taste so I wonder if it was just a touch underdone? The pastries are a little overpriced in my opinion, (compared to similar pastries in coffee shops) but I guess they have to do that since it's really their only food item. The atmosphere of railway heights is cute and the area around the shop seems like a decent study spot to post up with your laptop or work.I don't know that I'd make a trip to come back specifically for a croffle, but I'd definitely consider getting another if I'm looking for something sweet next time I'm in the area.

Croff'd is a food stand in the new Railway Heights Market. They make unique waffles that are crispy and influenced by croissants. They also sell boba tea! They have savory and sweet croffle options. I tried the firecracker croffle, which is a combination of blueberry and strawberry fruits with whipped cream on top of their unique waffle base. It was tasty! I also tried the green milk tea boba drink. It was also delicious and not overly sweet, but very pricy. The total drink was ~$6 including tapioca. Total cost for croffle + boba drink was ~$15.

Cute little popup in the downstairs of Railway Heights. I got the tomato mozzarella croffle and passionfruit green tea w/boba. The croffle was alright, nothing amazing. It tastes exactly like it looks, but the mozz/tomatos they used were pretty fresh. I wish I tried a sweet croffle instead-- maybe next time I'm in the area. The passionfruit green tea was pretty decent-- not too sweet with strong flavor and chewy boba. It doesn't beat anything you can find in Houston Chinatown though. Another downside is that it is on the expensive side.

I was drawn to this place because I saw a decent amount of people waiting in line for it. I ordered a pizza croffle, but didn't really enjoy it. There wasn't really a "hero" flavor. Nothing really shined through. I thought the sweetness of the croffle overpowered the savory flavor that the cheese and pepperoni were supposed to bring. For $12, the croffle was small and not worth the price. The lavender milk tea was better than the croffle. The lavender taste was light but still came through and their boba was cooked properly. The ambiance is decent, it shares a space with other vendors so there's shared seating. The workers aren't the nicest and they weren't moving at a quick enough pace to keep up with their line.

They have marks like a waffle, but are so light and crisp that I kept asking myself, "How do they do this?!?"No idea, but I'm glad they do.

When the girls who make the fresh pastries wear William Sonoma aprons, you don't expect the product to be priced cheap....But , the food is worth every penny. Its fresh, made that day and can be customized to your taste. When I was here for the elite week, I tasted the blueberry and strawberry pastry. The light, airy, not- so- sweet taste stayed with me and I had to get one more. This time, on the savory part, I got them to custom make the pizza one with less cheese and no meat. Some places I have noticed, they say that they will remove the meat part and give us, and that's not what I like, here, they made it fresh exclusively, and thats what makes this place all the more special for me. It was very tasty. As for the boba tea's, they have quite a few options and they also make it vegan with like Oats milk, Almond milk and so on, or, you can choose to have flavored ice tea, without any milk.I, for one, am definitely a fan and see myself coming here more often.

The croissant waffle mix is delicious. It is really what I wish every waffle was. I had the pizza waffle which was a bit disappointing. The pepperoni was hard and not great. I would try a croffle again, but maybe a sweet one. The croffles are pretty small and maybe a bit expensive. The lychee green tea boba was good. The tea had a frothiness to it that was unique. The booth was super cute and the staff was helpful. Pizza croffle - 3 starsLychee green tea boba - 4 starsAmbience - 5 starsStaff - 5 stars
