One of the go to taco spots I stop at when I'm in the area and hungry. I love their Pollo asado tacos as well as their grilled fish tacos. The Pollo asado tacos never seen to miss, but the grilled fish tacos sometimes do. They either have too much sauce on them, where you barely taste any of the fish, or it's such a small piece of fish that it taste like all toppings and tortilla. It also seems like there are moments when there are 2 cooks and not many people waiting for food, but the food still takes 15 minutes for a small order.

Overpriced, bland food. Ordered the "crack" burrito bowl. The amount of rice and beans that came with the bowl was laughable, old greens were sitting underneath the meat and the portions were lacking. The meat was just ok. Friends who came with me ordered the Al pastor bowl (said it lacked flavor) and tacos with rice and beans. The beans were bland and expensive. The rice was ok. They were trying to charge $5 for fountain drinks. That's criminal. Only positive thing to say is that the woman at the register was nice.

I rate this restaurant 3 stars. Upon entering, we weren't greeted or acknowledged promptly. Despite no one being ahead of us, we had to wait to place our order. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. The tacos did not live up to their hype. The IPA fish taco was okay but not particularly impressive. The tri-tip taco contained several fatty pieces, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the salsa was quite good, and the restaurant was clean.Despite the lack of a crowd, it took us about 20 minutes to receive our order. Overall, I wasn't too impressed, and I'm not sure if I'll return.

Crack Taco Shop is a fun, vibrant restaurant with two locations in San Diego. I stopped by for a quick dinner while on the way home from the airport. Service is friendly and genuine. It's clear they use high quality ingredients here. It took almost 10 minutes for my two tacos to come out but it was evident they were thoughtfully prepared. I ordered the "Crack" tacos which is made with our locally famous burgundy pepper tri-tip known as "Cardiff Crack". They were outstanding! Made simply with tasty house-made corn tortillas, guacamole, onion and cilantro. Highly recommended.

Came here for an afternoon bite with some friends. I got their baja fish, carne asada, and al pastor taco. I liked the al pastor taco the most. There was substantial amount of meat and 4 tacos was more than filling for one person. Each taco came with two pieces of tortilla and extra sauces were available on the side. The service was good and quick. I'd come back here again if I was in the area!

Best tri-tip nachos anywhere! Service fast and friendly. I've been there before and the rolled tacos are good and the rice is delicious as well. Definitely a great place for some southern California Mexican food.

We came here for an elementary school fundraiser. I have seen really great reviews of this place, so it was great that we were invited by friends to come support. We walked in and immediately saw our friends seated and waiting for us. There are about 6 tables for 4 available, and also a couple of tables for 2, then a larger table for 8-10 also in the dining area. The decor is very cool and cute. I loved that they had a beautiful Christmas Tree setup with lights for the Season's Greetings.A gentleman at the register took our order. He was super customer service oriented and answered any questions that we had. We showed the flyer for the fundraiser, and he said that 20% of our order will go back to the school...NICE!!We were given a table number for our order to be delivered to our seats. After choosing a seat, we went to the soda fountain. They have Aguas Frescas and soft drinks! YUMMY! The area for drinks is well organized and clean. I love that the aguas frescas is on a refill basis because they are normally very pricey! We ordered: 1 Crack Taco, 1 Shrimp Taco, 1 Crack Nachos, a Michelada, and a fountain drink.Overall, the signature item, "Crack Taco" was pretty good, with a lot of tasty and tender tri-tip. Guacamole here is ON POINT and tortillas are DELICIOUS. Crack Nachos are huge and well worth the cost. My Husband really likes his Shrimp Taco and "Crack Taco" as well.Michelada was okay, I had mine with Pacífico Beer.I would love to come back to try their other menu items. They also serve breakfast items, which is awesome because I LOVE Chilaquiles!Great staff with great customer service!

Awesome establishment I've been coming here for a few years now. The Crack Burrito is always good. The corn tortillas are out of this world! I love to get the grill fish tacos they taste awesome. Nachos are a good item to split with friends. I've now tried the keto burrito as well with the crack tri tip in it. Nothing bad to say about this place.
