Crab Pub

First time coming to this location. I've been wanting to try them since they first opened & finally had the chance today since I was craving. I usually go to my usual location The Ace Crab off Plaza Blvd due to convenience of distance. Which they've been a hit every time I went aside from the last time. The last time was very salty & no spice. So I decided I needed to venture somewhere new which landed me here today. It wasn't busy, was seated immediately & ordered immediately. Service from our waitress was quick & efficient. The food came out super hot. We ordered 1lb crawfish, 1lb shrimp, lobster tail, & all the extras ala carte - 1lbs corn, 1/2 sausage, 1/2 potatoes, boiled egg, 2 cups of rice, & the chicken tender basket for my son, & 2 sodas. Total was about $102 without tip. The space was new, clean, & had an open floor plan. Didn't feel squished next to other tables. We ordered pub style seasoning & extra spicy. Our waitress cautioned us about the spice which I appreciate. Not everyone can handle spicy. We loveeeee spicy so it was only right! It was very spicy, had our nose running, lips swollen & red. Lol. But it was a GOOD spice for us! Some places claim spicy but ain't really spicy at all. Lol. If you can tolerate it, I recommend! I will continue coming to this business to fulfill my future cravings!! Love love love. Nothing bad to say!

Came here after Round 1 to eat somewhere close. I came with a group of 5 and was seated within a couple of mins. Our server was very friendly and got us all we needed except for my brother's extra glove bc he dropped his. Haha we all ordered a pound of shrimp with their house sauce and medium. My husband and added the sausage to ours with rice. We ordered the fried calamari for all of us to share. It was pretty good for my first time. The sauce was spicy and flavorful with the shrimp. Plenty of sausage and good amount of rice, I didn't finish it all. The only con was the fried calamari. There was barely anything in the container it came in and especially for the price it was underwhelming. It wasn't enough to share. So would not get that again. Calamari was small and a small amount of fries. Good spot at Plaza Bonita. Would come back again if I'm craving seafood.

Came here for the first time and absolutely enjoyed our crab!! Ended up getting two number combo threes and feel so stuffed! An was super attentive and helpful- @neeks93

It was my first time having seafood boil and it was delicious! Three of us shared combo #2 with snow crab legs and shrimp with the pub style seasoning and mild spiciness. It was flavorful and delicious and a good sized portion! I do wish there were more corn, potatoes and sausages, those were good and went well with the seafood.

My friend recommended this place so we came together for a Sunday lunch. Three of us shared combo #2 with snow crab and shrimp ($59), and chose the pub flavoring and mild spice. For my first seafood boil, it was yummy and very flavorful. The seafood tasted fresh and I enjoyed the sausages and corn it came with as well! Next time, I think some rice or fries would go well with the seafood

I came to crab pub after a conference with a bunch of my colleagues. I ordered the combo #5 and added a lb of snow crab (~$120) to share with someone and it was definitely enough. I liked the variety of seafood that was included and everything tasted so fresh like it just came out of seaworld (jokes).Let me start by saying how flavorful the sauce was! I got the pub style which is a blend of cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter. Typically at seafood boil I'm debating on getting cajun or garlic butter because those flavors are so good together so it's nice to have an option to have that blend. The sauce was so good, especially paired with white rice and the garlic bread. Highly recommend it! Spice wise, I ordered it spicy. You know when the food is too spicy you're not able to taste the seasoning? Not the case here! Spice was there but doesn't overpower the flavors - just how I like it.For the table, I also ordered the cajun fries - very crispy, good on seasoning, and paired well with dipping in excess sauce. The fried oysters and crab poppers were a favorite among everyone as well, no skimping on the portions and both lightly battered yet still very crispy.Service and atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent. Water refills were fast and waiters were very attentive. Overall, I would highly recommend Crab Pub, definitely will come back on my next visit in San Diego!

I recently dined at the Crab Pub and ordered their all pub style seafood boil, which included king crab, mussels, and egg. Additionally, I ordered the calamari basket which was highly disappointing only plus side was the fries. Unfortunately, the seasoning for the seafood boil lacked depth and consistency, leaving much to be desired in terms of flavor.Our server, whose name we didn't catch, was inattentive and seemed to lack focus. Thankfully, Jananai noticed our predicament and stepped in to provide excellent service, making sure we were taken care of throughout our meal.While the ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, the overall lack of flavor in the seafood boil left me feeling unsatisfied. Although the place was packed, indicating its popularity, I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon due to the inconsistency in flavor and service.

This place is awesome. My co-workers & I came here for a birthday celebration. The place is clean spacious. The staff are very friendly & very accommodating. Of course, the food is great. We came out from the restaurant with a happy belly.I requested for them to sing Happy Birthday to our birthday celebrant. Oh boy, they delivered. This was the best birthday greeting ever! A Seafood Lover's Dream!Just had the most amazing seafood boil at Crab Pub! The snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, and clams were all incredibly fresh and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and the service was excellent. If you're a seafood fan, this place is a must-visit!
