Less than impressed. We stopped by after a visit to another winery. It wasn't busy but the server was by themself. He seemed flustered but was well educated about their wines and history. We tasted the 2 offerings my for reds and my wife for whites. I wasn't happy with the wine which seemed to me to lack flavor of the grape. My palate may be different but it was not a top winery for me.

This review is for our experience as a winery passport holder. We went on a Saturday afternoon in mid January. The place was pretty much empty. We wanted to use our wine tasting passport, and was refused to be served. The reason was, according to the staff, they were told not to pour for the passport during weekends. It only works on weekdays. However, unlike other winery who clearly stated that on the passport, Cougar Crest did not. Also, at that point in time, they didn't even open on weekdays due to staffing issues. I would give them a 0 star if I could. As long time customers, I found this practice very offensive. We told the staff we have bought their wine before, and have been to their other locations. Somehow they still refused to give us the passport tastings. Before walking in, we already decided to buy at least a couple bottles. After this experience, I would say we will never buy their wine again. I would suggest this business to just drop out of the winery passport if you think it's not bringing you enough business to justify. By refusing to served and not being clear on the app, and didn't even open on weekdays yet, you are giving out a fraud vibe. I will tell my friends.

We went here and there were so many wineries. I said which ones do you choose. I chose this one, only because it didn't look like the rest of them. I wanted something that reminded me of a winery back home.I couldn't have gotten luckier. The lady we met was so gracious and helpful in helping us throughout our wine tasting. She asked where we were from. We explained that we were from Pittsburgh, PA. She said she loved Pittsburgh and is a Steelers fan. She said she went to Slippery Rock University. It's such a small world because that's where our daughter attends college. We hit it off right from the start. Now the wine was all good. All of the dry reds were up to my alley. I believe we walked away with a few bottles. We had to limit our wine gathering since we had to fly back. Normally we would have walked away with a case easily.I loved this place. The winery has such as a great wine story between the husband and wife. The wife is the one who drives it all. Makes it even more rewarding.

I really like this place. It's a just a few steps away from the other wineries and has great outdoor seating. Their Rosé this year is amazing! It's just not sweet and has a touch of honey/rose/strawberry scent. So good on a nice summer day! We enjoyed a tasting out in the sun this weekend and enjoyed every moment.

I go wine tasting all the time and this was the first time I went here. Lisa was so friendly and engaging us in her conversations. So gave us a history on the wines and the availability of what's available etc. coming to this tasting room felt like you were coming home such a positive feeling. I wish I discovered this place before. Can't wait to go here again.

This place was a bit hard to find only because my maps had me walking behind Otis Kenyon, which clearly was in the wrong direction. Just for comparison purposes - I usually drink chateauneuf du pape, cab sauce (Justin, Faust and provenance). We went to the mark Ryan tasting, Otis Kenyon tasting, cougar crest and the Basel cellars tasting. The best wines were Otis and Basel, but the Cougar crest came a close tie for second with the Otis. Tried the wine tasting. Absolutely loved the 2012 cab. Bold and yet smooth. Bought the 2010 anniversary cuvée for the graduation dinner. It was ok, not my go to, but great for something like the grad dinner. They were having a sale on their wines. I didn't have any more room, so I opted to purchase them when I returned home. I also tried the rosé. I'm not a fan of rosés but I wasn't offended by the cougar crest rosé. In fact, it was quite pleasant and palatable. The winery is family owned. The name cougar was for the mascot of the university the owners went to. Great wines, super friendly staff. A must try if you're in the area.

First time visiting this place. I've been eyeing it for sometime as I drive on the road often. I love the outdoor seating and down-to-earth building. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even added on an extra pour of their rose.We both had the red flight and I was shocked at how good the wine was! I don't usually love Chardonnay or Merlot- but my friend and I both loved every single one. I even took two bottles home and signed up for their wine club. Can't wait to come back!

This is a wonderful place to stop. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about wine. They really want you to have the best experience when drinking wine. They spent an amazing amount of time helping us pick the right glass that suited each of us perfectly. Great view and atmosphere with us sitting on the deck watching the people and the gorgeous views. Highly recommend stopping at one of their 4 locations. Redmond/Woodinville was where we stopped.

We visited here while on vacation and had a great experience. Our sommelier Jennifer was very knowledgeable and engaging. We did their tasting experiencing of all estate Washington wines and although did not plan on purchasing anything, ended up buying 3 bottles. Highly recommended.
