For these times the prices and portions are great and reasonable. I like that it is self serve salsa. My fries could have been a bit more crispier not sure that's cuz it was in the to go box but next time I'll ask for extra crispy fries. I used to come here a lot as a kid but with prices are everywhere no it's causing me to go back to my roots and places that have always been simple and budget friendly. Great value. The half order size here is very reasonable and a decent size.

Grabbed dinner to go from Cotijas because it was close to our Airbnb. For what we were looking for, this was a decent option. I got chicken enchiladas and my husband got a carnitas burrito. There was karaoke going on inside so I was happy to grab it go after a long day exploring La Jolla.

This place has a bad rating for a reason! How is this place still in business? It's all nasty looking inside. There's never anyone inside during the day. The service is below minimum effort and the food is nothing to go back for. The reason City Heights has such a bad rap is because of businesses like this. Please for the sake of the neighborhood, sell this place or go out of business.

Cotijas is consistently delicious! I usually order them for delivery but one day I decided to swing by and pick up a bunch of tacos for work! The order ahead function on Yelp didn't work, they never received my order, but they were able to accommodate and get everything made really quickly! The service was great too, super friendly! My entire team loved all of the different tacos! They never disappoint!

I ordered online through their website but I got there they said they don't accept food orders online. They wanted to charge me again and had to find a way how to get my refund. I waited for 40 mins they ended up giving me my order but missing an item.

I really hate to write this review because this is one of my favorite taco shops. The menu has a good selection of tacos, burritos, and everything in between. I love there spicy carrots and they are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is always well maintained and they even have a drive up window.They have a great menu and I come here often to get the number 9 combo plate: two beef tacos with beans and rice. On my last visit I ordered the vegan burrito with chicken added (I know). It was delicious until a discovered a piece of chicken bone. Unfortunately this could have turned out to be very harmful to me or others.

Service was quick but unfortunately that meant my carne asada fries were not cooked at all and completely soggy. The hash brown burritos were all hash browns and barely any eggs. Also not sure why my horchata didn't have any ice in it? Will not be coming to this location again.
