Consistency is what I seek these days when it comes to freshness and flavor. Yaya helped me today. She was friendly and welcoming. This place is clean and has a drive thru. One of the last taco shops that offers burritos for less than $15. Conveniently close to Downtown yet not too busy. I'll be back again.

The food is ok. The carne Asada quesadilla is a 4 star meal. Decent price if you wanna split it with someone. The bean and cheese burrito is like $8 and it's not that great (try Los Reyes up the street). I gave it a 2 star because they are very over priced for most of the food items and 2 outta 3 of the staff members seem to always have an attitude.

I have been coming to this Cotijas location for YEARS. Just about fifteen, and my parents before me. Cotijas is-- and has always been-- a San Diego staple. I do not go anywhere else. I love this location in particular and I am never disappointed!!

I ordered two things off the menu. The carne asada fries have beans in them , which isn't in the description on the menu. Too many people have food allergies to not post an accurate ingredient list on your menu . I'm sure you know the frustration of finally getting to your destination and opening up your food and it's not what you expected OR ordered. I dug for the fries at the bottom underneath the beans, the fries were old, dry and uneatable. Second item was the shrimp burrito. The burrito had nothing in it but shrimp & onions & sauce. No rice as stated on menu. If you're looking for better Mexican food I suggest you drive one more block up, to the left is an "Adalberto's"

Although the burrito was good, it wasn't the one I ordered! Their drive through mic doesn't work well! The drive thru lady was a little on the rude side! Probably the last time I will be going to this restaurant. So close to my work too!

I've been coming here for 5+ years and Yahaira has always been a nice worker with great service, hard worker and for some reason the food tastes better when she's working. Unlike Defina or Delfi whatever her name is, has terrible service! I'm surprised she hasn't been fired yet.
