To be honest I never eat here, but my husband is obsessed. We used to live in Corpus and he would go all the time for their sloppy cakes and pork belly pancit. Now any time we go back to Corpus, it's a requirement that he gets his Z Counter. When you walk in there are a few tables and a wall full of pictures for their menu. I love that you can see what the items look like instead of just looking at the written menu hanging above the register. You order at the front and they give you your cup and a number before you go sit at a table. Service is pretty average for a sit down place since everything is made fresh to order. Don't expect to just walk in and get your food immediately. This place takes their time to get you freshly made food each time.

Great fusion food. Love the pork belly buns with hot oil . I put my homemade hot oil usually on them.... (scorpion, ghost, Thai & scotch bonnet peppers) =yea I don't like bland boring food. The Taiwannese beef noodle soup is good too. Small area, but perfect for adults and teens that appreciate variety and actual taste other then salt & pepper () = kids & pets don't belong everywhere folks.

OMG. This place is absolutely spectacular! I was skeptical at first because their menu of various Asian items is just too diverse and there are so many options. But I was blown away as was my family. The crispy pork belly fried rice was like a party in my mouth. The spam musubi was super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. (I recently traveled to Oahu where I ate musubi almost every day, and I think Z Counter's musubi might be better.). I also enjoyed the Sloppy Cake. I can't quite explain what it is, but I just know I really liked it. We also tried the pork belly bun but we were inhaling the other food and forgot to snap a photo. That was good too. Z Counter's food was so good that we are thinking of going back for lunch tomorrow. Yes, that good. Ambiance was ok. The food was so good, who cares about the ambiance? And service was fine. Food came out quick and staff was nice. Did I mention that the food was delicious??? I'm going tomorrow. Again and again.

Been a customer since college a total of 8 years now. It's a must visit every time I'm in town. If family come to CC without me they know to bring some home for me. It's a CC staple!!! You cannot go wrong with any of the choices.A few of my favorites are the curry fried rice with short rib, Thai basil fried rice with chicken and a scrambled egg, japchea, creole bowl and so much more!!The amount of people I have put on Z counter is unbelievable and non are ever disappointed. I'm from SA and we have nothing that compares.

Z Counter was a nice find while visiting family.This is a small, fast-paced location but definitely worth the trip.It took us a good fifteen minutes to place our order because their menu is extensive and everything sounded so tempting.The staff could tell we were new, I guess we had a look of both lost and excited! They answered our questions without hesitation even though the place was crazy busy. We decided on the pork bahn mi, chicken pancit, the pork belly rice bowl, steamed buns with pork belly & the counter donuts. All pork entrees were tender and smothered in a sticky marinade. The rice and noodles were cooked to perfection. The bahn mi bread had the perfectly baked crunch. The steamed buns were airy and generously filled. The counter donuts often visit me in my dreams lol.Also, everything that was reheated the following day was still quite enjoyable!
