My GF and I wanted to try a different place for brunch after church! We decided to give it a go after countless times of seeing the restaurant. We ordered the chilaquiles and the Birria tacos on corn tortillas. For an appetizer we had the queso fundido! Absolutely blown away by the flavors and the presentation of our food. The price point was on par with the taste and size of portions. Our waiter Nik, very attentive, and honestly the most down to earth human being. Gave us time and information about the menu. Had knowledge about everything I asked regarding the food and menu. His consistent approach of checking in and making sure we were doing well without being so saturating was great! Overall I think we found our new brunch spot. Excited to try the other entrees YOLA has to offer!

I was excited to eat here for the second time, first was in November, we had a party of about 15 and we mostly had every kind of appetizer and everything was amazing, this time (January 29,2025),we had a party of 5 for my birthday and we had a couple of apps and each ordered an entree. Both of the chicken enchiladas dinners, two different recipes were dry and flavorless, the rice tasted only of cumin, the beans were mostly beanless, the apps were enjoyable. My redsnapper was uneatabable because there were huge bones in every bite, had to send it back, got grilled shrimp instead, it was dry and flavorless, no sauce was provided. It was a VERY disappointing birthday dinner. Service was good, atmosphere was nice.

A lovely setting! I had the enfrijolados, and as someone who's half Costa Rican, I eat vegetarian beans, and these were flavorful. They also have beans with pork if you prefer (which I unfortunately tasted on my first trip despite specifically asking for vegetarian beans--make sure to repeat yourself if you have dietary preferences). Their rice also contains chicken stock, so keep that in mind too if you're vegetarian. I decided to give this restaurant a second chance and I'm glad I did because the staff is genuinely kind. However, I had to lower the number of stars for service because serving someone meat after they very specifically request vegetarian food is bad service. While my first meal which I didn't eat completely once I found the pork bacon - was comped, I don't want a free meal--I want my food prepared correctly, and I want the restaurant to pay attention to all requests, whether for allergies or other dietary needs. You know why? Getting a meal right isn't just a courtesy--it's essential, especially if someone has an allergy. If honoring requests is too much, restaurants should be upfront instead of serving food incorrectly. Todo bien. We can eat elsewhere. I gave them a 2nd chance and my meal was prepared vegetarian - that was nice - thank you! I must tell you they serve an interesting tres leches cake - the first I've ever had with NO leche! It's more of a DRY tres leches cake with no condensed milk sauce, just whipped cream served alongside it. It's paired with warm pineapple and strawberries. I enjoyed it dry, and it's certainly a lighter option with fewer calories. See my picture for reference. The staff is nice both over the phone and in person. If you believe in supporting local as I do - YOLA is an option.

What an awesome little find!In town for business and was totally craving some authentic Mexican food. Yolas was the spot. Started off with the guacamole and an order of the bacon wrapped jalapeños. Holy moly were the jalapeños good. Like really really good! The guacamole was awesome as well. For my entree, I went with the Birria with tortillas. This was flavorful and delicious. The place had a nice bar and drink menu, and fun casual atmosphere. My server was delightful and checked on me often. If I'm back in town I'm certainly coming back.

First, yola is a 5 star restaurant, but this review is for the chilaquiles. Hopefully this and the one other review on yelp (none on Google maps) that mentions chilaquiles will inspire a change in the recipe. Stopped here for Sunday breakfast and the service was great as usual. I was on a mission to try the chilaquiles, which I've just recently discovered for myself because of trip to Arizona where it is popular. I've now had chilaquiles at 4 restaurants, and have made it for myself after watching several videos. So, I'm not an expert. While primarily composed of tortillas and salsa, something magical happens when combining those things together in pan with epazote and then topping with eggs, protein, queso/ crema, and cilantro to make chilaquiles. It's more than the sum of its parts. Unfortunately, there was no magic in the chilaquiles at Yola. I'm not an expert, so I don't know why we didn't have any chemistry, but there was no cheese, cilantro, protein, and I'm guessing no epazote. Or maybe is was the chips not being combined with the salasa in a pan. Or maybe they started with chips rather than tortillas? Only Yola knows. What I know is that this is the first chilaquiles that I would neither order nor recommend even though the price was under $10.What do I recommend at Yola? Just about everything else I've had is great. Breakfast tacos, birria, enchiladas, guacamole, etc

We came in a little after 4 pm on a Friday. We ordered the queso fundido with chorizo. It was interesting that we only got three tortillas with it. We asked for a few more to finish off the fundido, they came out hot and fresh.I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes with refried black beans and rice. It was very tasty, but not as heat hot that I would like. The chicken inside lacked flavor, but the verdes sauce, cilantro and onions helped it. My wife ordered the tortilla soup with chicken. It was too spicy for her, so we had to order beef quesadillas for her. She loved them.Brandon was very helpful explaining the menu options that we had, and offered very good service. Overall ambience and vibe of the place is good. The glass globes in the bar area cloudy and dusty and in need of attention. The men's restroom was clean and well stocked, but the floor needs to be mopped. Our overall experience was very good. When I received the bill I saw we were charged $3.00 extra for the additional tortillas we asked for. Hmmmm I felt that was a little over the top. It would have been nice to be informed that we would be charged for additional. Did not feel the ones that came with the appetizer was adequate. One other thing I noticed was there is a sign posted "Please wait to be Seated". but there were several that came in after us that needed to seat themselves. "Alert" last couple that came in and seated themselves left w/o being served.

I visited Yola Cocina Mexicana with family for dinner recently. We started dinner with an order of Chicharron y Salsa. The chicharrones were tender and juicy with a lightly crisp outside. The pairing of salsas were flavorful and lightly spicy. For my entrée I had the Birria Tacos. The tacos were savory, lightly crisp and filled with moist juicy beef and gooey cheese. I also had an Horchata which was a little disappointing. The drink was watery and warm but it did have a hint of cinnamon flavor. Overall, we had a nice experience.
