Yoakum Heritage Museum

To be fair, we went on a Saturday afternoon figuring we would take it in but it was closed a day Saturday. Open on Tuesdays through Friday and short hours on Sunday I think. I get Monday but Saturday is a bad day to not be open for a museum. It a day most can go. So while it has a nice outside and seems unique it's hard to see on a quick weekend trip for out of towners. Seems a bad decision.Something we encountered a lot on this trip. Signs that show open when business is closed and vice versa.

Our friends told us about this awesome museum during Christmas, and we decided to stop and check it out. This is an awesome place to see during Christmas. There was awesome trees decorated by schools, hospices and other organizations. They were all beautiful, and my son loved the train room! The hosts were so nice and told us some tif bits about each room and then we got to vote on our favorite tree! Will do this again!

We came by for the logo exhibit and were impressed. Our five year old gave us information he had gotten the week before on his school tour. The volunteer was very informative.
