Wood River Apartments

I have lived in this apartment for 2 WEEKS, have had a toilet that hasn't flushed since moving in among other things broken before move-in (after submitting the request), my AC has gone out TWICE and my car has been towed TWICE for reasons out of my control, and lack of communication from the office. Think twice before moving here.

Take your money elsewhere!!!! Apartment office is so unorganized. I always paid my rent 2 weeks early every single month, never was late, never had any issues. Lived with roaches for the full 12 months, my fridge broke 3 times causing me to replace all of my food, ac went out 4 times- AND I NEVER MADE A SCENE! I was always so understanding, kind, put in my notice to move, and they never sent me a final bill. I moved out midFebruary, no bill sent. I called and spoke to Shelby in the middle of March, she assured me she would get a bill mailed out and took my new address down AGAIN. I called today and apparently my new address was invalid. When I asked what address did they sent it too, they couldn't tell me. They transferred me over to Tabitha (manager), and she put the blame on me and said I'm now in collections and she wont be dealing with my account anymore. Unbelievable!!!! Just send me my final bill so I can see an itemized copy to pay it!!! its that simple!! of course I'm not going to believe the word of an office who doesnt have their stuff together, I want a FINAL BILL ITEMIZED SENT TO ME SO I CAN PAY IT!!!

Pro- The school is close and one of the best you could ask for.Con- Well we had very little time to make a decision on where to live so this was the best place at the time. When we moved in we informed the property manager of the terrible carpets at which time it was to late for them to do anything about it. The place was infested with insects, which they did take care of, just be prepared if you decide to move in here. Now the big issue for my family was the A/C. They had over a year and could never get it fixed. When it was brought to the managers attention we were told to set our thermostat to 80 degrees. By the way we had the thermostat set to 74 degrees and the unit would never turn off nor would it cool the 1300 sq ft apartment which our electric bill was well over $300 a month. Trash is every where you look on the premises. Pool had issues all summer long. Dog poop is an issue because no one cleans up after their animal. Oh. Don't plan on getting your deposit back. We had the apartment cleaner than when we moved in and the final walk through there were no issues per management. Just so you know it takes $400 to shut off water. I know you are thinking the same thing I was "that's crazy". So finally, THE MANAGEMENT COULD GIVE ONE SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH. BE PREPARED FOR THE SECRETARY UP FRONT. SHE IS WHAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER UMMM, A BITCH!!! So my recommendation, this should be your last choice on where to live.

Decent facilities but they do not do repairs in a timely manner. My biggest issue however with the company is the people who work for Wood River. They are very difficult to talk to and have little if any people skills. It is very frustrating because a simple issue in the apartment ends up feeling like World War 3. They just need to hire some nice people who will at least pretend to listen and be courteous.

I have lived in this apartment for 12 days. In the 12 days I have been here, my AC has been broken the ENTIRE time and the office staff JUST decided to tell me they were waiting on a part 2 days ago. My carpet looks like it as cleaned with phlegm and a rake. The grounds are covered with trash. The parking situation is out of control and they use 'no assigned parking' as a positive selling point to the apartment. The pool has no water and a sign that says "closed until further notice" . None of the 2nd floor apartments have washer/dryers and their is only ONE laundry room on the property. I WISH I hadn't needed to move so quickly because I would have notices all of these little details.

Management's failure to maintain the property is unacceptable.Office personnel are unavailable except during the weekly rent collection period; property issue inquiries remain unanswered or are met with unsubstantiated denials of responsibility. We are obligated to pay for trash services despite not receiving the full service, The current policy permits pets, despite instances of owner negligence that have negatively impacted other residents.

Plumbing Problems, horrible parking lot to name a few are insane here. Live here and would recommend people stay away. Had plumbing problems for over 6+ months and still have a ceiling that continues to leak water into bedrooms and bathrooms.If you make a maintenance request be prepared to wait even if your place is leaking water. Either management doesn't care about its tenants or the apartment complex is just to far beyond to repair.Make sure your car has good shock absorbers because driving through this lot your bound to hit potholes every 12 inches. Drive slow too because the lot isn't wide enough to fit 2 cars most of the time on each side.I'd give this place less then one star if it would let me. I stay here because my son is a Senior in High School so I'm Sol right now.

they've gone under new management and I'd like to say that it's a huge upgrade since the past, they've installed new countertops and new carpet, and are currently working on renovating the pool, maintenance gives you a time frame of when they're gonna show up and though sometimes it can take a couple days they come and fix everything needed, amazing customer service, maintenance people make you feel comfortable and seem like a friend to each other, ive lived here before a couples years back and this place was not the best apartments to be in but they have definitely moved up since then, currently I'd say its not all the bells and whistles like some apartments but great option financially, reason why I put 4 stars is because maintenance can take a little longer than what was said, but overall great place if you're saving money

I use to live here last year and never fixed the cieling leaking water and never took care of my mold issue neither I put like 10 work orders, and nothing got fixed so I moved out. the parking lot has a lot of potholes and I've already bent my rim to my car and pop a tire front office don't care about anything but then again, they want the rent money and don't want to fix anything

This apartment complex is horrible! I've lived here for two years because I'm saving for a house. I've never called for maintenance in that time frame until my outlet began sparking about three weeks ago. When I wrote down the work order the apartment staff told me it wasn't considered a priority, and they would get to it when they got to it. I called back again three days ago and she told me she could resubmit the order but AC concerns were a priority. I came home to a melted outlet today, and the answering service said it wasn't a call out concern.
