Saturday pancake breakfasts rock!
Plenty of room to spread out
Some of the four-legged guests of the park
Lots of large, level, full hook-up pull-through sites
Butterflies abound!

What a great place! I'm not sure if I had more fun participating in all of the great activities they had going on while we were here (the pancakes at the Saturday morning breakfast were YUMMY!) OR taking in all of the wildlife! Birds! Butterflies! Fish! Javelinas! The place is like Dr. Doolittle's Ranch! LOL!Seriously, though... this is a really welcoming park that's in a more remote and beautiful part of Texas. Not far from Corpus Christi and the whole "Coastal Bend" area. So there's lots of stuff to do AROUND the park as well as in it!Check it out if you're in the area!

Loved this place! What a hidden gem in Mathis, Texas! Clean, well kept, and super friendly folks...lots of squirrels, bunnies, birds n butterflies. Paddle boats, fishing pier, clean pool... just can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. We appreciate the kid friendly atmosphere. Also no loose dogs THANK YOU for my stress free morning run around the RV Park w no dogs chasing me! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

We visited for 3 days but it was certainly enough for us to fall in love with it. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Pool was fantastic, very clean. Restrooms/showers were clean as well. We loved fishing in the lake as well. Year round residents were very friendly as well. Can't wait to go back!

Nice quiet RV park but most of the campers are permanent and they were not very friendly. If you just want a quiet place to sleep, this is a great place. Absolutely nothing to do locally. We had no cell service at/near the park and it states that the sites have basic cable services & free wifi, but that is not correct. You will pay for wifi and it still doesn't work, speeds are too slow for the amount of people using it. Won't be back & don't recommend.

This was an overnighter for us, but after being near Brownsville for 8 months it was really nice to see shade trees. The campground is on a lake. They have paddleboats, and fishing is allowed.. We had a long, level, gravel site. The tv reception was great. If we're ever in this area again, we'd like to spend some time at this campground.

We stopped in to check out this resort,on our way to Lake Corpus Christi state park, back in 2007...it's now 2015 and we are still here! If you like the wilderness, birds, animals, butterflies, plants and trees, this is your place. The sites are mostly all gigantic and each one seems to be different from the next. It's a wilderness resort so in keeping with that theme, the roads are mostly gravel and bumpy but who cares? If you drive the posted speed limit and take time to look for all the fauna, you won't notice the bumps. There are 3 fishing lakes where some monster fish reside...I've personally pulled out a 6 foot gator gar, a 5 pound black bass and a 20 pound cat! (The bass have to be released) :(The people here are fantastic and there are always activities to participate in...we love the Monday evening Bocce ball tournaments but there is also horse shoes, basket ball, games, crafts and FOOD! The clubhouse has a full commercial kitchen. We have 2 dogs and this resort has one of the nicest dog parks we've seen in our 20 plus years of full time R V ing. We sincerely hope this review helps you to decide to visit here. See you at Bocce ball...I'll be the one with a half full glass of wine.
