Whole Fried Chicken

I was so excited to find korean style fried chicken in Corpus and this place did not disappoint! Location is in the same parking lot as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema off of Staples and Yorktown Blvd. The interior space is bright, spacious, and accented with fun yellow decor. What I ordered:Whole Fried Chicken with Sichuan Pepper - It is a small chicken but enough to feed two people. The batter is really crispy and great sichuan pepper flavor. It wasn't super strong so (for me) it was not spicy. The pepper permeates the meat so they must brine it. Very juicy and flavorful! They have seafood boils and American Chinese food added to the menu also. Hopefully the authenticity of the Korean fried chicken doesn't get lost with the mashup of other cuisines. I'm looking forward to coming back one day and trying their other sauces, seasonings and their boba teas!

Good food and service. We were seated right away and noticed the very cute but not overwhelming decor. I ordered the cheese bites and edamame for an appetizer and the half fried chicken combo for my meal. Everything was delicious. I got the Thai milk tea at 25% sweetness which was perfectly sweet and delicious. Edamame was perfectly flavored, the cheese bites were crispy and gooey, and the chicken was moist inside and perfectly crispy outside. Highly recommend eating here or getting it to go in their adorable boxes.

Buyer Beware!!! I picked up a whole chicken and an order of waffle fries, $23 dollars! My initial thought was "this bag seems very light"? Upon arriving at home, I weighed the entire order, bag, packaging and all.....1.06 lbs. , for a whole chicken and fries. The chicken I held in the palm oh my hand, the fries, well, sad. I've definitely had wings bigger than the leg of this squab. Sorry folks, won't be getting my business ever again!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally made for lunch today. It's definitely the beat fried chicken wings we've ever had. They were sweet and spicy with a crazy crisp on them. We are definitely coming back!!!

Delicious fried chicken, fried chicken sandwich, cheese curds. I've been here a few times and everything I've tried is really good, the teas are amazing.

Really great place! Had the Black Meteorite Wings and my wife had the Teriyaki Rice Bowl. The Mango Bliss Fruit Tea was delicious and my wife enjoyed the Ube Taro Milk Tea. I would definitely recommend checking them out!

I'll start this up by saying I like chicken. The options are great, you either get the half chicken with sides or a whole chicken with sides. The seasons they use our outstanding and the chicken crispy on the outside and you see on the inside just the way I like chicken. It was serve as waffle fries, and a drink.The owners were from Korea, and we're extremely kind and answered any questions we had about the food. You can could eat in or takeout. We chose takeout, and the chicken was packed in a nice box along with our sides. If you're a chicken lover, like I am, and like a clean and friendly atmosphere that you have to come to Whole Fried Chicken! I will return again soon.

I really wanted to rave about the food, but it was not to be. I ordered the original chicken sandwich with calamari and waffle fries.First, the chicken had so-so flavor, but was not crispy at all. Something seems to be missing with the sandwich. Second, the waffle fries were hot, but were not crispy either. That was a disappointment. Third, the calamari tasted like the oil had not been changed out in a while. They were also very overcooked.The big plus is that the service and friendliness of the staff was great. The restaurant is also maintained and kept very clean.I think if the quality and cooking techniques of the food can be tweaked a little bit, this place has great potential. I'll give them another year and will try again another time. Hopefully they can fix the food just a bit.

Very disappointed! "Shrinkflation"We decided to try this place with a "whole" chicken and sides. What a disappointment. What they call a "whole" chicken is a disgrace and misrepresentation. It's a whole little "Chick" that fits in a small hand. Don't be deceived, total "shrinkflation". How disappointing since this place is right around the corner. Don't be deceived. I do NOT recommend.

Went there at 6 PM on Monday. No other customers. Had an order to go. They processed it very quickly. Got home, the egg drop soup was wonderful. Chicken fired. Rice was great plenty of food. Very good, the staff was pleasant. The restaurant was clean. They need more customers realizing how good a place is so they can stay in business. Good food, clean place and pleasant people.
