I was pleasantly surprised to find that this stadium is very clean and well taken care of. It is small and not very modern but the cleanseliness is much appreciated. There are several food stalls (including Whataburger and a small bbq shop. They are all somewhat decently priced. Tickets for baseball games are also at a good price (usually $10 and up). Parking is $5. Not a lot of shaded seats unless you sit in the middle in the far back rows.

Awesome field and staff. Great location. I like the CITGO sign in right field, as it evokes Fenway memories. The only disappointment here is the lady that sold me my ticket. I appreciate the fact that she put me in the section behind home plate, but she sold a SINGLE a seat in the middle of the row. Both ends of the row were blocked off with other patrons, meaning I was going to have to bumble my way through other fans just to get to me seat & out again.Fortunately, they have a ticket exchange guy on the concourse, and he helped me out. The Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage was tasty, with chili & cheese, but I was not expecting it to come on a tortilla - not that there's anything wrong with that. I also agree with the other commenter that the main souvenir shop should be on the concourse, not hidden downstairs behind a stairwell.

I've covered baseball professionally from press boxes, and I've been to plenty of stadiums for work and play. This one is a good one, but there are areas for improvement. First, if I lived here, I'd be a Hooks season ticket holder. Like many other minor and independent league stadiums, there's really not a bad seat in the house. Parking is great, and the concourse level is easy peasy when it comes to getting around. Employees were friendly, and the bathrooms were clean. The seats, albeit close together, don't feel crammed. Most importantly, the quality of baseball here is really good, as the Hooks are AA MiLB (which means some will likely be called up to the Bigs before the season ends). But...The concessions here are among the worst I've experienced in a few years. I get that the ballpark has a captive audience and that hot dogs have a 5,000% markup. However, when I buy a dog before the first pitch and it looks like something from Jack Links beef jerky company, that's a problem (see my pic). Food choices here are relatively few compared with other ballparks of similar size, and the only pop-up food/snack/booze stands were along the right field concourse area. Finally, Pepsi seems to be the official soft drink of this stadium, and that's too bad. There's a reason Pepsi twice went bankrupt! There's a reason that people try to order Coke at Taco Bell only to opt for water when the attendant asks "Is Pepsi OK?" There's a reason that Pepsi was the soda of choice during the Great Depression ... because it was cheap swill! For the love of God, bring in a different soda vendor -- even if it's Shasta or the HEB store brand! But I digress....All joking aside, the concession operations are only as good as the person in charge, and that person must've been playing Candy Crush while the counter folks were selling stale popcorn and wrinkly hot dogs. It should also be mentioned that this is the only stadium I have ever been to (and that includes short season rookie leagues) at which the main souvenir shop was located somewhere other than the bowl. Apparently, it's located at the street level, but I never saw it. (That could be my own fault. Still, I probably would've spent more money had the main shop been on the concourse level.)The view here is really good. It'll be interesting to see it in a few years when the original harbor bridged is razed. On another positive note, I believe this is the only stadium in which a Whataburger operates. (And I think they sell Coca Cola products.) I only wish Whataburger sold hot dogs here. ;-)

The gates opened up at 5:30pm for the jerseys! We arrived at 5pm to make sure we got a shirt! So happy we did. Even though the hooks lost, we had a blast at the game. There was so much interaction with the mascots and even some of the players. I love how friendly the teams are to give balls to the kids. Utilizing the sEATz app is a game changer! Especially when you are into the game and not wanting to get up. I had a great time with my family and enjoyed all the fun things the field had to offer. My Whataburger meal was delicious and had a great experience

Whataburger Field is a great place to take in a minor league baseball game in Corpus Christi. The seats are great and the views are good as well. The wind coming into the stadium made the experience enjoyable.

It has been a few years since I have visited this ballpark and excited to see any new enhancements. On the way I ran into road construction and had to make some quick decisions while driving in the highway and ended up crossing the Harbor Bridge. I had to turn around and go back on the bridge where I saw an exit to the stadium. Luckily it was early and easily found a parking spot. From here I noticed a popular hangout, Brewster Street Ice House, where it looked packed, but decided to enter the ballpark. With our Astros clear bag in hand we took some photos of the outside in front of a huge baseball player statue. I received a huge Texas sized greeting when I entered and received a free ball cap with a pink Hooks logo on it. Corpus Christi Hooks were playing against the Springfield Cardinals and it was "Pink at the Park Black FauxBack Cap" night, and the home players wore pink jerseys too. My goal was to explore the whole ballpark. I saw some improvements from the last time like craft beer bars, outfield vip seating, and new food choices. Obviously they have a Whataburger serving burgers but found some other choices. The team store - Hook, Line & Sinker - is located on the first base side down stairs to the ground level. They had done great merchandise including Astros gear and purchased some items. Back to the concourse you have a great view of the Harbor Bridge and a waterpark beyond the outfield. The ballpark has suites over the field level seats, green berm and two rows of rocking chairs. They also have two mascots walking around so parents can photos of their kids with them, the Hooks' ballpark girls walking around, corporate sponsors handing out swag, and local raffles. I decided to a hot dog and beer.My seats were behind 3rd base dugout surrounded by season ticket holders who seemed to come for every game. I saw one little old lady with a score sheet of the action. Since this stadium is located next to the ship channel a huge ship floated by. The kids around me were excited to see it. When the sun went down the Harbor Bridge lit up at night with illuminating LED lights. The game went well for the Hooks. Overall a very family friendly atmosphere with lots to do along with the staff to make you feel welcomed.

Small home town field with a big heart. I can truly feel the love and support these people have to give for their minor league team called The Hooks! Everyone one was nice and respectful of their opponents. Glad we came and watched some Corpus Christi Baseball Game. They give out free Laredo breakfast taco coupon if The Hooks struck out enough to spell LAREDO TACO. $5 parking fee - Fair price and not far of a walk. $14 per person burn/grass area. I think it's normally $8 to $10 per person when there's no one performing/concert after the game. Best part of it all! There's actually a kids area. Free Bounce house, free playground, rock climbing for $2 and trampoline jump.Let's play ball!

Whatagreatfield. Whataburger sponsors many special fan events. It's the home of the Corpus Christy Hooks, a double A affiliate of the Houston Astros. It's located on Corpus Christy Bay and faces East so even on a hot summer day, you can enjoy a cool breeze off the water. And when the game is a little slow, there are lots of interesting things to see. There are cars passing by on the sky bridge, ships heading into port and the USS Lexington parked in the bay. If you're hungry and thirsty there are plenty of vendor booths including Whataburger. My only knock is $7.75-$9.75 beer. Probably a national crisis so I'll just drink soda.

Great atmosphere good food and good brews. Had plenty options when it comes to food and drinks, nice merch as well. Game itself was a close one went into extra innings. Hard to beat that view in a minor league stadium.
