Van’s Brick Oven Pizza

Pizza is very good! We get the all meat and every bite was delicious. I wished they were open for lunch. Friendly employees.

We were staying at the lake and grabbed a few pizzas. Bugsy, pepperoni and sausage, and godfather. All were great! The crust is tasty and crispy on the bottom not soggy. The staff that took the order and helped us was great as well. I'm from Fort Worth and I would put this small turn place up against any of them. They also had great beers on tap, Im a voodoo ranger fan and I was surprised to see it in the mix!Keep up the good work!PS I didn't get to take pics before it was gone

Absolutely the best pizza in Mathis.......possibly the Coastal Bend. Try I out. Love the Godfather! Downtown Mathis. Easy to find. Good parking.

I want to love this place ... my pizza is usually great! Unfortunately, they always burn my husband's pepperoni pizza so we don't order from here as much. Last time they burned all of the pizzas and were very polite about refunding our money after we sent the manager pics, so I must say the service is definitely on point. They have a nice vibe and ambiance too.Again, we usually get good pizzas, I just wish they could stop burning my husband's.

Very delicious pizza and nicely crisp wings. Wings took a little while and came out after pizza. Wish we had them as an appetizer but they do take a bit longer to cook. Still well worth it. Service was great. Sadie was pleasant and attentive. Only complaint is the ranch. It sucked. Didn't taste homemade and was creamy not buttermilk ranchy. I'll just bring mine next time. Maybe next weekend, again. Yes. It's that damn good!

Totally disappointed! I think their running out of toppings... we ordered a Lg pizza and I counted the 10 little slices of pepperoni, not all of the slices had a pepperoni. I would rather pay more than get a skimpy pizza...

Passing through on our way to Corpus and we stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Service was great, our server McKenzie was super sweet. The pizza was really good as well. Definitely recommend this place for pizza.

Stood there for the 15 minutes and no one approached us, finally a patron said seat yourselves, which we did . Another 15 minutes and again no service, no greeting , no nothing. I'd give zero stars but not an option. I understand busy but a simple greeting would have been nice!

Great atmosphere and service. Just walking in, it's bright and fresh. They had the jukebox playing too which made it feel fun. I've had better pizza though. Not that it was bad, just not exceptional. On a different night, I had the Italiano. That was pretty good. It had all the makings of an Italian sub on a really nice bun. I'd give that 5 stars. They also have a number of draft beers and liquor. My server actually made a good scratch margarita. I will go back.

I recommend this pizza restaurant to all my friends and family... the atmosphere is great. It's definitely a hidden gem
