Very hard to do business with Value Bank. They have extremely unethical valuesTheir interest rates are high and loan terms unjust.Their loan officers are very had to get a hold of even after multiple emails and leaving voice messages. It's not a surprise of the turn over of personnel.

TERRIBLE!!! I was the one that found the fraud on my account then when I called first thing Monday morning they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about and they needed to call me back. I go in to sign papers to dispute the charges and they want me to pay fees for over drafting when I wouldn't have to pay anything if there wasn't fraud on my account! Then I call a week later because I still haven't gotten my money back and there is no record of me signing anything or fraud on my account!!!! The communication is terrible and the Southside location is the WORST!!! DO NOT bank here at all. Local banks in Corpus are horrible. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!

I have to agree with the previous review. Communication is poor. They've had my commercial loan for 6 weeks then passed it to another department after repeatedly telling us it would be wrapped up in so many days. They've strung us along for over 6 weeks now and just let me know they needed another tax return. I've asked many times, while waiting, if they needed ANYTHING else but was always told nothing more was needed from me. Something similar has also happened to my business partner who is an attorney. They are totally full of horse do-do. Here is a cut and pastes from Bob Bilberry SBA / Commercial Lender: "Now that we have everything," Now a few weeks later it is discovered that NOT everything needed is in. Did I mention the link they sent to the online application is ?*&%$#@? that took weeks to get them to get me something I could fill out. Then I filled out a pdf and they asked for basically the same info 2 weeks later in a different form. Avoid Lance Gordon and Bob Bilberry at Value Bank. BTW, normally I wouldn't even consider a cheesy bank like this but since one of these guys worked for an extremely reputable bank previously, I thought I'd give them a try.

I am a customer in good standing and have been traveling and have a problem because I lost my debit card, something I never do. I call immediately and request it canceled and a replacement sent to the out of state address I'm visiting. After many phone calls I was assured that they could send the replacement card to where I am at presently, for a $20 fee. I also requested help in getting my online banking set up and was told I would receive a temporary password. 13 days later, after not receiving the card or password, I called and was told the bank had been trying to get a hold of me (untrue) because they now needed me to FAX something from where I am at and my card had not been sent out at all. All the while I am stuck 1200 miles from Port Aransas without any access to my funds. Communication is obviously lacking, since I never received any phone calls or emails regarding the hold up on my card. I have been watching for anything from Valuebank because I've been crippled not having access to even check my account balance, let alone use any of my funds. I finally got my temporary password and was able to get into my online banking today. One debit I noticed is the $20, for debit card replacement. I called today and when I found out that my card had not been sent out yet I told them to forget it, I wasn't going to fax documents and jump through any more hoops after waiting so long. I requested that the $20 fee be credited back to my account, mainly because I never received a replacement card, but also for the extreme hassle that I am still currently going through and I was told that they were unable to return my $20. My funds will be transferred out of my Valuebank Texas account as soon as possible and I would not recommend doing business with this bank or Port Aransas branch. I hope the $20 was worth losing a customer and yet another nasty Yelp review.
