Love the crawfish and the taco matadores! Staff is friendly. Restaurant is small but always clean and tidy.

THANK YOU JULIA: I had the best lunch today in Bay City. The lunch was great and the service was perfect by Julia. Julia served with a smile with a great personality and with perfect customer service.I ordered two tacos, one enchilada and rice and beans, and it was made perfectly. Julia kept our tea glasses full, and even got us to-go ice teas. Thank you Julia for the great lunch., Service with a smile, and for being super efficient.Inside is super nice, the bar looks nice with plenty of drinks, and the restaurant was super clean, including the bathroom. Thank you Julia for making our lunch great, for making our day, and we are super happy we stopped here in Bay City during our travels. Highly recommend this restaurant, and if you're lucky enough to get Julia, I guarantee you she will serve with a smile.

I visited Vallarta's on a Thursday night around 7:30pm with my husband and our 9 year old son. (I used to eat here before, but the food had become bland so I had stopped going until my son wanted to go this Thursday evening.) They were pretty busy, but we were still seated right away. It was extremely loud though due to have busy it was.Our waitress was really nice and showed a good amount of attentiveness towards us. (She wasn't overbearing, but she did check on us from time to time.) All the staff was friendly, and they all seemed happy.The restaurant is clean and tables are bussed quickly which is good.Salsa was okay, but it was just a little on the bland side. It did taste fresh though. Our ordered food didn't take too long to arrive. We had the boneless buffalo hot chicken wings as a starter. They were good and crisp, and while they did have a kick to them, they weren't overly spicy. They also came with fries which I found a bit strange being as they are an appetizer. The fries were really good and had a nice crispy and crunchy texture. I had the chicken poblano fajitas with corn tortillas. I was disappointed that the corn tortillas are not made from scratch. The fajitas are cooked well, but I just wish they had a bit more seasoning as these were on the bland side. The charro beans and rice were definitely underseasoned as well. The rice just tasted like plain white rice. I do wish they gave you a bit more avocado with your fajitas because I barely had any. My husband had the birria tacos, and he said his were really good. His dipping sauce was pretty tasty, and he liked his charro beans although he agreed with me about the rice lacking any flavor. My son had the cheese enchilada plate from the kids menu. It was his first time trying a cheese enchilada, and he liked it a lot. I ate his refried beans since he doesn't like beans, and his refried beans were delicious unlike the charro beans.I probably would go back at some point if someone else wanted to go. I was hoping the food would be as flavorful as it was when they were a new restaurant, but the food is still a bit on the bland side. Service is great though, but the lack of seasoning in the food is what lets this place down...They also need to make their own corn tortillas.

Enjoyed our first visit! Tried the coconut margarita on the rocks and frozen mango margarita, both were delicious! My hunny loved the birria tacos so much he was crying and the granny plate was good, too!

Large, crowded, noisy and excellent food and service. The tacos were over-stuffed with Mexican goodness. Very attentive service. Good sanitarium.Will I return? Absolutely, yes!

This place has amazing Mexican food. Yea the town has many Mexican restaurants but this one is definitely a place to stop. They have a watermelon margarita with real puree. The enchiladas are amazing and the cheese they use is delicious. Not the cheap kind. I love the chimichanga and beef fajitas. Def worth the money! Fun atmosphere and Juan the manager is amazing!

The food was delicious! Came out hot and fresh in a timely manner! Service was great and attentive. Beer was ice cold. Atmosphere is lively and bright. Not a quiet restaurant! We really enjoyed ourselves!

This place is authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered the El Rey. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection with a poblano pepper. Wrapped in a tortilla and covered in enchilada sauce. It was delicious. The wait staff keep my tea glass full.

Micheladas were cold and spicy and birria tacos were on point! Cool bartender as well.

Excellent food! Amazing people great drinks ! By far the best restaurant in bay city ! Highly recommended!
