Uncle Wiggly's Weiners

Cute restaurant. My husband and I each ordered a hot dog He had the chili dog and I had mustard and pickle relish dog. Delicious! Buns were toasted. We will come again. Lots to look at.

Passing through Luling on a weekend road trip we got a little hungry and didn't want to hit up fast food. When we read the name we thought... dang it, we're in. We walked into a time warp! 80s wrestling on tv, 50s and 60s music playing on the speakers, old Coke signs on the wall and a framed 8x10 of Kerry Von Erich w/ Iceman King Parsons at the register. They've got an entire back room that looks like someone's grandmas living room from 40 years ago. As cool and interesting as the ambience was, the food was just as amazing. As you might have guessed, it's a themed fancy hot dog restaurant. The dogs themselves are standard sized and delicious I ordered the "Hi Ho Silver" which is topped with cheese, ranch, jalapeño and bacon. My wife has the "Bandstand" which is a chili weiner. Both were served with home fries and both were $4.99.In addition to the weiners, they have burgers, sandwiches and salads. One kiddo ordered the "Wake Up Little Suzy" burger which includes hash browns and a fried egg ON the burger and the other ordered the "Lucy B" salad and they halved it with each other. The owners are a mother-daughter combo and when talking to them (they were very nice) we learned that the cupcakes and lemon bars were also made in house. We also found out why the place has such a goofy name. Seems there's a cartoon from the early 1900s about a "Gentleman Rabbit" called Uncle Wiggily. A relative suggested that as the name, they changed the spelling a little and... BobsYourUncle... restaurant named. I will say the same is perfect. The place is slightly odd, fantastically eccentric and a little goofy. And the food is priced great (family of 4 in and out for under $30) and is delicious. It's totally worth a trip from out of town to Luling just to eat here... and if you're driving through try and time your hunger right. You won't regret it.

Shelly was so charming, I could have listened to her talk for ever.Dogs were great and the 80s wrestling and old cartoons, on the screens were great. Very nice place. Posters, plaques, signs hanging on the walls. The first time inside was yesterday Friday 03/ 01/2024.Old cartoons on one screen and 80s wrestling on the other. Nice setup with the front main entrance, the eating area classic old wood top and thick metal frames that won't bend . Hotdogs were great as was the cupcakes and cheese bars. Mrs Cox, one x, is a charming lady. I could have talked to Mrs. Cox for hours. Great place.

Would never spend money here again. Cute inside but the food was NOT GOOD. The chili was horrible. The burgers were ALL burned. The onions they threw on were literally a whole piece of onion. Not cut at all. The staff wasn't very nice. Guy from the kitchen stomped around in water books and was super rude. Just a weird experience and we won't be back. Too much money for not good food.

The service as soon as we walked in was so friendly and welcoming ! It was our first time here and we loved it ! I got the daddy-o hotdog and really enjoyed along with the dessert special of the day which was a s'mores brownie ‍ so so good ! The restaurant was so cute and diner like ! With old town music playing and decor ! Recommend going to this place ! Our son loved looking around !

First off, how cute is this place!!!! Such a sweet small town spot. But the food was equally as good! Owners are super friendly and just make you feel right at home. Highly recommend the chili cheese potatoes. So good!! Didn't take a picture cause we ate it up.

Visited today. The service was wonderful. She explained all of the features and specials. Fresh made chili. I had the chili dog with French fry bites. Yum. Wife had the chicken salad sandwich. Filling. Our belly's are full. Inviting restaurant with lots to look at. Thanks for the experience.
