Tulum Cafe

We were not expecting this quality and variety from a small highway town "cafe"! Upscale ambiance and amazing flavor Mexican flair. It isn't a typical Mexican restaurant, but it isn't Tex-Mex either. Service was very attentive, prices were reasonable given the current inflation, and flavors were amazing. My husband wanted a gallon of the seafood enchilada sauce!

The business appears to have changed names. I spent well over $100 for two people. Neither of us liked the margaritas which did not have much alcohol. The meat was tough and not very tasty. We prefer Las Fuentes in La Grange.

My husband, grandson and I found this place after a basketball game. The food was very reasonably priced with large portions. I had the Summer plate, husband had the Taco plate and grandson had the Beef Enchilada plate. Everything we ate was delicious! Best tacos I have had in a long time. Chips and dip were also very good. The service was great as well. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is when we paid they tacked on an extra fee for using debit card and it showed "cash discount" zero. I know some restaurants do that these days but usually have it posted. If it was posted we didn't see it. I try to hold on to cash for this reason but since didn't see there was a "cash discount " used card instead. We'll know to use cash next time as we will definitely eat there again when in the area.

Good Mexican food. Not your standard Tex-Mex, more Yucatán regional. Great garlic shrimp dish but the other dish are very good too. They have good friendly service and plenty of parking. Easy access to I-10.

Quaint cafe, good service and great food. Can't ask for much more. Pork chop plate was amazing. 2 chops with sides. Tender & juicy with a good chargrilled flavor. Tulum plate was also delicious. My husband & I will definitely stop again next trip through Schulenburg.

Delicious and fresh Mexican! I ordered the Jalapeño Chicken which was fantastic - fresh veggies on a juicy chicken breast. Hubby had spinach chicken - also a hit with cheese and chicken. Look forward to trying fajitas, seafood and more!

This was not the food choice I was expecting. Since we were there we chose the specials of fried fish and fried shrimp. The salad was skimpy and the dressing runny. The shrimp were tasty but did not agree with my digestion. I can only think they were questionable. I would have left before ordering if I was a rude person. I should have!

We enjoyed this place! We tried the guacamole salad and could have made a meal of it! The people were very nice and the service good. I had the Big Burrito with fajita beef. Our party of six had different meals and they all looked great

I really enjoy going here, we meet FRIENDS from the area here, and the food and service are always great !

Variety of great food on the menu.Pork chops, shrimp dishes and yummy fresh Mexican food. Highly recommend.
