Trout Street Bar & Grill

So. This is the second time I came here, but I wish I'd just left it at one time. The first time I came was great. Service was quick, food was fantastic. Vibes were there. This time, however, it was the slowest possible service I've ever experienced. It took over 40 minutes to get our entrees, and 28 minutes to get the two drinks we ordered while the bartender spent her time chatting with the three people at the bar and pouring one beer every now and then. I ordered the shrimp embrochette, which is supposed to be bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with Parmesan and jalapeño. But there was neither jalapeño nor Parmesan. And the veggies were green beans sautéed with bell pepper. Which, for some that would be fine. But it is abnormal. The server offered to have the entire meal remade, but I didn't want to wait 40 more minutes for a refire, which the server all but confirmed would be the case. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else.

Amazing service and ridiculously delicious food. We all loved our waitress Rhonda, she was very attentive and helpful. We can't wait to go back. The bacon wrapped shrimp was my favorite. When you get here make sure you sing "help me Rhonda, help, help me Rhonda" Lastly, my only warning to you is make sure you're hungry!

Not sure why this place is rated low. The food was very very good. Some of the plating could have been a little better but taste wise- wow. Expensive- yup, but worth it? Absolutely. The service was prompt. We stopped in for a drink and decided to come back for dinner. The bartender was not only making drinks but she also had several tables. For dinner - our table was by the window that overlooks the bay. Very lovely. They have a lot of outdoor seating as well. The place itself was lively, accommodating both single travelers and families. It's also very clean and bright. Very beachy. I would go back and try some of their other dishes. I would recommend if you are in Port A for a nice dinner.

What a nice eating place in port aransas. Amazing food. Not cheap but well presented. Quality at Docs is better. We got the tuna panchos as an appetizer. And then the seafood Vera cruz with redfish. Very fresh!

We sat outside with our dog and enjoyed the amazing weather and view of the marina for lunch. We ordered the shrimp poboy from the lunch menu and it was huge. It comes with four fried shrimp but they're huge. Fries were perfect. We also got the shrimp remoulade which was good but it was kind of weird with the sauce being all in avocado. Maybe that's normal this was the first time I've ordered that dish. Service was friendly but slow- but you're on island time! Overall a really nice place with a great view.

This is definitely one of those places you need to ignore the low-ish yelp review and just go!!! We went July 4th weekend. Told us for a party of 4 it would be 45 mins. At 7pm I feel this is standard. We grabbed a drink at the bar and took it to an outside patio over looking the marina. While we were out there a musician was playing music. We enjoyed that and watched the sunset. We were sat about 30 mins later so we didn't have to wait 45. Server was very kind and friendly. Made suggestions on what to order. He didn't disappoint. Gotta try their gumbo. It was REALLY good! On top of that we had calamari, the blackened mahi mahi, redfish with soy glaze, and kids pasta with chicken. Good sized portions, tasty, and great ambiance.

This was excellent! Good service nice ambiance and great food. Very pleasant atmpsphere. We will definitly return tp est there.

I loved the daiquiri. I am looking forward toy fried fish. The clam chowder was a little bit spicy. . I ordered kids fish and chips.the fish and chips was okay. I loved the singer who was there tonight.

We arrived Trout Street around 7 pm and they had a 30 minute wait .We were told by the hostess that we could wait at the inside bar or sit at a high top table on the boardwalk looking at the Marina and listen to live music .We went outside and easily found a drink and enjoyed the music.Our table was ready within 39 minutes and we sat inside . We had the Seafood Gumbo which we heard they were famous for and it was perfect . The fried shrimp were huge and Hot . The Redfish was fresh and had amazing flavor. Our server was very prompt and our drinks were delivered very quickly .We give this place a 5 Star.

Great service and great view for outdoor seating. I ordered the Seafood Mac n cheese and it was great, good amount of seafood and good portion. My husband however ordered the Shrimp Alfredo and added scallops... unfortunately he got food poisoning a couple hours later. It was definitely the scallops since my daughter and I both tried his shrimp.
