I visited this place with my sister, her husband, my baby niece, my son, and my husband. When we arrived it wasn't too overly busy but busy enough. We were seated almost right away.Our waiter was really nice and polite the whole time. He was just the right amount of attentive and got all of our order right.The lighting is dim, but it's not too dark. I was thankful the lights were bright like in a lot of restaurants. The decor is nice as well and not cluttered or tacky. The only thing I didn't really care for is when we were eating, a man came over and offered to play his guitar and sing for us. I remember people doing that from when I was little and then expecting a tip. I just find it off putting that when you're trying to eat and enjoy a meal with your family, they come over and interrupt. Just a personal preference though.I had the guacamole as a starter to share with everyone. I thought it would come already mixed up, but you had to mix everything yourself which was a little odd. It was good though. For my main course, I had the chicken fajitas. They were so so so good as were the rice and beans that came with it. My son had the kid's cheese enchilada plate, and he loved it all as well. Oh, the salsa that comes with the chips has got to be some of the best salsa I have ever had!Even though there were four adults and two children and we split the bill into two separate ones, we were still charged gratuity. I was going to tip anyway, but I had never seen gratuity added when a bill is split into two separate ones.Anyway, Trevino's is definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant, and I will definitely be going back when I'm in the Valley.

We consider Trevinos to be the very best Mexican food in the RGV valley. From the minute you walk-in you are treated like family. We are winter Texans and always feel at home. We love Jade and Benny. We always ask for them when we walk in. The drinks from the bar are always perfect, the food is amazing and fresh. If you're not a Mexican food lover they have a variety of American food as well. If you have not been to Trevinos in Edinburg you have not had the REAL RGV Mexican cuisine! The atmosphere is so authentic and true to the region.

Terrible food, worst service, not worth the price. If they were not capable of serving us at that time we got there, they should of told us so we weren't rushed out... they decided to turn off lights before some of us were done and they forgot a couple of my families meals and they wouldn't serve my 24 year old cousin alcohol because she had a vertical drivers license.... dont waste your time here. Charro beans tasted from a can, i don't think there was actually any alcohol in my drink and the taco shells were stale AF. Big disappointment. Dont go here!!

The place is nice but when we went to pay they overcharged us. When I told the cashier she said the menu prices were wrong but they haven't made new menus. There is no warning about this anywhere. So if you decide to come here, ask for price before ordering.

Never again. Cold and flavorless chicken with no seasoning. The water tasted as if it was from the sink it had a metallic taste. Don't let the looks of the building pull you in. The service was horrible, the waitress was so unprofessional she never came to the table to ask if we needed anything. When we were finished she never took the plates and left everything on the table. She was suppose to bring the check, No she never did we had to go to the front desk to ask for it and they never gave it to us. They gave it to the waitress and she took 10 minutes to give it to us. And there was only one other table taken up.

The food was authentic and very tasty and prepared perfectly . The service was excellent, friendly and fun. We enjoyed the atmosphere, family friendly, clean restrooms, beautiful murals on the walls, we celebrated an adult birthday there and we all had a very enjoyable meal and fun with the staff. I called in for a pick up order. When I got there I added a drink. My mistake is I didn't taste it there until I got home. I drive all the way back. Just for the manager (she said she's the owners daughter) to make me walk all the way back to my car to grab my debit card so she can refund me. Mind you, I just drove an hour back and fourth. Also she saw I was holding my son. I walked back and returned the card to her. She proceeded to say the card machine isn't working so she refunded me back cash. In this whole experience she was rude to me, she said "I am the manager" when I wanted to talk to one. She's rude and also doesn't even know how to manage her business. That's probably why the parking lot is so empty.
