Top Deck golf carts are the best quality carts on the island!! We rented a 4 seater for the week of July 4th and went everywhere with it!!

The "short" version of this review is: Don't rent from here...There's too many other places on the island that rent carts at similar pricing. Don't take a chance on having a bad experience here. Based on other reviews, there seems to be a higher probability that your experience WILL be bad...The VERY long version of this review is as follows: I've rented from this location several times over the years without incident. In fact you may find previous positive reviews from me under their former name "Top Deck". I've enjoyed the convenient location and the online booking that allows you upload documents in advance. Yes, the carts are a little "janky" and the Bluetooth doesn't always work, but I'm not buying it, I'm just renting it for a few days. And a couple of times I've gotten a nice one that I really enjoyed driving. All the carts have gotten me from point A to point B, and that's all I'm really asking from my "cart experience". We camp on the beach in a RV and the cart is our transportation while on the island so we don't have to break camp constantly. The husband will drop me off on the corner of 1A & 11th St. I'll walk to the rental office while he goes to the beach and starts setting up. This has been our "routine" every time we have rented here. If we are arriving outside business hours, I call ahead and get the cart number and code. Again, no issues until this time. This trip I had a large group joining me on the second day so I reserved 2 carts. We were arriving at 4pm on a Wednesday, they close at 6pm. I did not call ahead. Husband drops me off like normal. The office is locked, no one is there. I call the "in case of emergency" phone number, no answer, I leave a message and I wait...10 min. There's a guy outside at the cart rental place next door and I ask him if he knows anything about where they are and he doesn't. He says that I should just keep calling the number, so I do... over the next hour and 20 minutes, I call 19 times, sometimes leaving messages, sometimes not. I also email a reply to the invoice I previously received, I email the address on the web page and fill out a "contact us" form. I tried texting the number, but it said it was a landline, so it didn't go through. At some point I find a second number posted that I throw into the mix, calling that number (which has the same "in case of emergency" recording as the other number). I called that number 8 times. Then I try texting that second number, my iPhone showed my message blue and "delivered". I was elated! After standing out in front of their office for an hour and 20 minutes getting sunburnt and bug bitten I had proof that a message had been received! I tried the "in case of emergency" for the 20th time and someone answered! The guy on the phone said that they decided to close early and someone was supposed to have sent me an email...(they didn't). I got my code and told him I was NOT happy, and I would be back in the morning to pick up my second cart and they needed to figure out a way to make me happy. The next day I showed up to pick up my cart, and the is office locked and no one is there...I call the "in case of emergency" number and a girl answers, tells me to pick out a golf cart and she'll give me a code...I was of course, hoping to speak to someone about my horrendous experience, hoping that part of my $1200 would be refunded, or I would be given the nicest cart on the lot, or even given an apology ...not to happen. I told the girl the very short version and asked to to have a manager call me in the next 3 days...(they didn't). I returned both carts, one at a time, no one was at the office (during business hours) those times either. I was hoping someone would "make it right" so that I wouldn't have to spend even more of my time leaving reviews out there for other people...but no one has contacted me. So now I get to find a new place to rent carts. Maybe I'll try the place next door; there was an employee there every time I stopped by Ocean Carts.

When we are visiting Cinnamon Shore we always rent from Top Deck Golf Carts. We've always had great service and I find their prices to be competitive with others in the area. On one occasion out of about six times renting with them did we experience an issue with a golf cart and they immediately assisted us and swapped it out for another golf cart. The team is always very helpful and friendly.

Fast and easy if you fill out paperwork online. Just go pick up with quick directions. You have to fill up before you drop off, but no need to clean. They are the best priced as well.

Just this weekend me and another family rented a golf cart from Top Deck and let me tell you..Before this we had already payed for the golf cart, (it was a six seater), and we called to make sure everything was ready for us to pick up the golf cart and everything seemed perfectly fine.When we were driving to the place we called again saying that we placed a reservation and were coming to pick it up, the lady responded with "I'm sorry but I do not see your reservation in the system." So we were all freaking out.When we got there the other family's mom went up there showing the screen shot of the reservation, the lady kept denying it. So while I was in the car, we saw two people with broken golf carts showing up to the place, keep in mind while we already reserved a golf cart. While inside the other family's mom was trying to sort it out the lady also added that "We do not have any other golf carts." So the mom walked out of the place seeing that the two broken golf cart family's got a golf cart, apparently it was a spare. So the mom then said "You said there was none left."There is a ton more to the story but we ended up not getting a golf cart, they did refund us, but we were extremely disappointed with them and the customer service.

Summary: Don't rent here if you want decent customer service for issues.Situation: I booked and paid for 2 golf carts for the weekend, and performed all necessary documentation requirements. A few weeks later (but still over 2 weeks before my trip) I needed to cancel one cart so I called and explained this multiple times.I called 4 times over ~6 days to get this taken care of. 3 of those times I never received the call back I was promised while they were either busy, didn't have the access, or had to escalate help to one of the owners, Kyle. Randomly I got a full reservation cancellation email, instead of just canceling 1 of 2 carts and 1 of the 2 gas fees like I requested. They initially blamed me by suspecting I didn't submit the paperwork in time... Wrong! With 10 people relying on me to book I made SURE I took care of it all. 2 or 3 calls later over the next 2 days (why does it take so much to get stuff taken care of)... but I finally get it corrected as a new reservation booked for one cart and gas fee. A day or two later I realized its a higher rate than I initially had (they booked it for the double holiday price, not single and summer like I had before on both carts), so here we go again with the phone calls and no call back.My frustrating discussion and problem solving culminated with the lady telling me (on behalf of Kyle, the part owner) they cant do anything about the price because thats the holiday rate (even though I had a lower rate for the exact same days before). She also said they can't even refund me the difference to make it right. I asked about an upgrade from a 4 to a 6 seater cart, for this price, no dice. I was only offered a full refund with no penalties now that we were inside of the 72 hour window which was their fault due to lack of timeliness to begin with. Not helpful to just offer me no reservation when I still needed the carts and other vendors in Port Aransas were all booked out (so I thought based on my initial reservation research). Thats the story... basically, they arent helpful at all. 1 star because I can't give them .5 stars. You're better off spending your money elsewhere.

We wanted a cart for an impromptu trip down to Port Aransas (love) and Robin with Reds, was out of carts. Unfortunately for us these people were open. If I would have red the reviews I wouldn't have gotten anything from these scandalous people. If you notice on the reviews there is someone that laughs at all the upset people, look, no doubt that is the slimy man that we met at the counter....would acted smug and arrogant. I am sure he was the owner. 1st, was told it was a 4 seater. Received a 2 seater. Wasn't told that the thing is slower than walking. Was told I would receive a text and didn't. And I paid a premium (GOUGED) for a 2 seater. WHAT A JOKE this business is. I was even told even though their receipt says they deliver and pickup if you rent for 3 days. They wouldn't honor that. I asked if they give a military discount and they said that they usually do but because of the COVID (what a crock) they weren't so they could catch up. Sure hope they don't need help when they need help from anyone that serves this country...because by attitude, and arrogance, and negative impact on people they don't deserve it. They should absolutely be ashamed that they do business. I read all sorts of reviews on how they were charged afterwards. They will be sorry if they try to do that to my card. My credit union will eat them alive. I suggest staying far away from this place unless you just absolutely want to give your money to a shister.

Although the guy who put us in our cart was great, the girl in the window was somewhat rude and dismissive while I just kept a smile on my face and tried to ignore it. They have a two day minimum for carts even though we kept it less than 24 hours. The first cart we got the seatbelt didn't work even though the signs in the cart state you will be ticketed if you aren't wearing a seatbelt. The second was completely filthy. The return process was very sketchy, you put your name on a paper and the number of the cart you had, leave the key in the cart and go. The price is $80.00 a day for a 4 person cart, seems pretty darn pricey!

Do not rent from these people. I travel to port Aransas once a month for a short getaway and we like flying in. Was told when checking out the golf cart to sign the back of a contract next to 30 other signatures because they were out of contracts, then see another $170 charge pop up saying all carts are due back by 10am on the final rental day (again I was never given an agreement), regardless of how late we picked it up, would have been nice to know that, just asked to sign the back next to 20 other signatures. When we spoke on the phone to clear it up, they were completely rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't have minded a reasonable fee. There are plenty of places to rent here, they just lost a regular and also everyone in our network.We don't accept sub-par service and neither should you.

I should have read yelps reviews before jumping in to this rental. I also don't leave reviews but this calls for it! We had a great time at cinnamon shores but top deck golf carts was the worst. Know you can rent golf carts from other places who will bring them to you and have a better reputation and customer service. Re top deck: 1) they don't answer their phones. 2) Honesty matters. I don't do lies. We requested carts at 1240 on our arrival date. The communicated the code to the Us at 320 pm on our first day and on the last day when they picked our cart up at 9am without so much as a message or notice and the kids and I walked out in our gear for a last sandcastle at the beach, had the audacity to tell me they gave me the cart at 1240 on our first day ... text proving you didn't provide use until 3 hours later ... umm we still had the last day planned at the beach and paid $100/night for 4 nights but really only gave us carts for 3 nights (using their bizarre rental car logic). you still owed us 6 hours of cart rental. You have PLENTY OF CARTS (a parking lot full of them) and already overcharge... do the right thing. I disputed transaction with CC company who I know will do the right thing.
