Tokyo Hibachi Steak House

Love this place. It's a hidden gem! Great food options. I'm a pescatarian and this is the only restaurants in the area that had lobster, scallop and shrimp on their menu. Really funny and engaging staff. I always come here every time I come to visit my hometown. Special memories made here. Hope they keep up the place because having a great staff is key.

Was seated at a hibachi grill for over 20 minutes before drink order was even taken, walls were black, another family sat down and was immediately greeted with drinks and the chef while our order had been placed after our drinks had arrived. The hibachi table behind us a huge family was seated at and it had not been cleaned at all. Mind you we were the only people there and it was a 3 pm dinner reservation where we waited 20 min to long for a glass of water. I'm not one to ever ever walk out or complain but this was a first and last time we will ever visit there. And yes we did walk out!

Just happened to see one of those wavy, pop-up flag banners along the road advertising this place - otherwise we would've never known it was here! We were excited to try it. Interior is well decorated with the obligatory pond and "waterfall" at the entry. A section off to the right is dedicated for Hibachi cooking. The rest is divided up between tables and booths - nice lighting and a small sushi bar. We started off with the edamame appetizer. It came quickly, hot, fresh, DELICIOUS. The addition of butter and garlic made it that much tastier. Unfortunately, the flavor wave ended there. Our bento boxes arrived; one chicken, one steak. The portion sizes looked a little small, with the exception of the rice compartment. The salad was cool, crisp but a bit overdressed with a mayo-based dressing. Flavor was good, just a bit much. The California Roll was..... well, a California roll. Hard to mess that up.Both the steak and chicken were okay for tenderness, but sorely lacking flavor. Even though there is a teriyaki-like glaze/sauce, it needed more soy sauce (or at least salt). The one shining star was their "crab puff," which actually tasted more like a pot sticker - I think that part of the order got messed up. It was VERY flavorful but, unfortunately, there was only one served. Who only eats ONE pot sticker??? Service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Mind you, we were only one of two tables in the whole restaurant that were being served at the moment.... hmmm....Prices are very good and we did leave there satisfied. Would we come back? Possibly - most likely to try their sushi.

My recommend is they do a nice remodel of this place. it got the feel of a put together fast, that they do not understand the appearance of a the restaurant industry. yes it was clean and the stuff for nice to me. but the money maker of the restaurant is the hibachi grill, if they fix it up the right way. They can make the right amount of money for this kind of restaurant. The Coronavirus did make it hard all restaurants. But I do believe they can take cure of this. Some of the fix is just the painting of this place. Broken Floor tiles, water, damage, ceiling. a big fan blow air in the restaurant to keep it cool. The food was okay, I come to eat at this place to experience the hibachi grill.

From the time that I approached the door I should have followed my intuition. The doors were dirty when I walked in the curtains appeared to be very dirty and dusty there was a bad odor in the restaurant and overall filthy. I gave it a chance but I totally regret it. My food was not good and as soon as I walked out I had to throw up. There were roaches on the curtain. My server was very polite and friendly. I do not recommend this place and I will never come back! I pray to God I don't get sick.

We entered the restaurant around 7:30 PM. There was not a soul in sight which is not a good sign on a Friday night. We were there to try out their Hibachi. We ordered some drinks. My husband's beer came out but my glass of wine never made it. Eventually he brought me a glass of white wine but I had ordered red. We let him know & I did get the glass of red wine but it was from a very old bottle that had been open for at least a week and was undrinkable. The food itself was actually pretty good. The chef we had was talented and put on a pretty good show. The bathrooms were disgusting they need to get in there and deep clean them. The trashcan was overflowing. The floors were sticky and slippery in places throughout the restaurant. I would not return to this restaurant. They need to deep clean the restaurant and hire some more staff.

i will not be going back the food was ok the chef was funny but a liar i order the swordfish steak and he served me swai fish and charged me the same price as sword saying that they are both the same price Swai is a trash fish its not bad but it is a cheap fish like tilapia . service took forever they were under staved way to expensive for the amount of food . they were however very friendly .

first of all.... they put pork in the onion soup, now i know thats gone stop you nasty niggas.... but the service was also the worst service i ever recieved.... im not a soda guy but i was feeling a coke today and recieved a bottled coke and told i would have to pay for refills... now usually this wouldnt be a problem, but the foul display and taste of the twenty + dollar entrees makes it a problem.... overall terrible experience wouldnt even recommend this to a stray dog... also the atmosphere within the restaurant resembles a c grade horror movie... i give it 2.7/10

For 17$ I would think the plate would come with more meat than rice. This is definitely overpriced and unacceptable

Sticky floors, The bus boy is also the cook. The 4 of us shared two meals and they charged us each a 26$ "sharing" charge. Horrible customer service.They do not care about their service because I'm pretty sure they launder money in the back.
