Tobacco World

I rarely give a review like this. But here it goes. When I travel, I always try and find a local cigar lounge to have a stick. While in CC, I found Tobacco World and went in.Nice humidor with a good selection. Prices decent. I paid the sales guy and noticed and ash tray at the register and in the tray were a lot of cigarette butts. I should have asked, but incorrectly assumed people were putting these out before going into the lounge. I went into the lounge, cut my cigar and then noticed that several of the ash trays also had cigarette butts in them as well. I should have stopped, took y stick and went on, but I didn't. There were several guys inside all visiting like old friends do. The sales guy came in and sat with them and then I noticed he lit up a cigarette. Odd. I'm not a cigar snob or aficionado. I like what I like. What I don't like is cigarette smoke. At all. And even in a ventilated cigar lounge, the cigarette smell was definite. I've been to a lot of cigar lounges in a lot of places and never experienced this. The men there seemed to all be friends or at the least acquaintances, so maybe they didn't mind. They had good conversation and we're all friendly. But cigarettes don't have a place in a cigar lounge. Other than that, 5 stars.

Stopped by during a recent trip back to Corpus, selection and people haven't changed much.The only change seems to be the management trying to keep some of the rowdiness down. It always is a fine line, trying to let the regulars have their fun while trying to not make it a scary experience for the new visitor/significant other that might not know anyone there.Keep fighting the good fight Scotty, I want the place to be there the next time I fly down

Went in to buy a Christmas present. Was looking for an inexpensive pipe some tobacco and all the stuff that goes along with smoking a pipe for a gift. Staff was very helpful with suggestions comments and recommendations of different types of tobacco and products to put together in a kit for a gift.I felt prices were reasonable. I bought a pipe, lighter, three types of pipe tobacco, pouch, pipe cleaners, all for under $100. I would recommend them, very knowledgeable, high-quality store, and very friendly customer oriented staff.

Just wanted to say that the folks here are awesome. I was in town for a short vacation and dropped in to grab a few stogies. They were kind enough to top of both of my lighters while I checked out the humidor. Great selection and great prices.

This place had everything I wanted and needed. It has a large humidor with an excellent selection of great sticks. The hostess was very helpful and very careful not to push any particular line of smokes. Seems like the only spot in Corpus Christi with imported cigars, but who needs it when they have this place. Excellent!

Just looking for some Padron cigars. Staff brought me right to them, a good selection and I was on my way.

Update your damn hours. Drove across town because it says 8:00. Nope, 7:00. Lame. Thanks for wasting my time.

This place has a great selection and very helpful folks. Prices, selection, accessories, staff make this place an A+.

Went to the annual SandFest at the beach. Needed a stick at the last minute. Tobacco World was about to close for the evening. Called ahead and the manager kept the place open a few extra minutes so the fellas and I could get a few. Also filled my guys new torch light that he purchased.

A great selection of cigars, always fresh and well-humidified. I have been patronizing this shop for about 2 years and have never gotten a bad cigar. The staff (Scotty) is very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. There is a cigar lounge in the back that is clean and well-kept, all that is required to enter is that you purchase your cigar(s) there, which is not unreasonable, since some cigar stores make you pay to join a "club." A great place to purchase cigars, pipe tobacco, and all the accessories. Highly recommended!
