TKO Sports Bar & Grill

I drove past this several times on my way to my work station during late April. Figured it was worth stopping here and seeing what it was about. A couple coworkers and I stopped in for some beers and grub around 7ish on a Wednesday. We were a bit skeptical due to the atmosphere as the crowd was minimal and the lighting was dark which resembled a goth-disco vibe. Plus after we sat, they did not have miller or dos equis on draft. I started to think it was a bad idea coming here but once we got draft beers in the form of some local lagers, the vibe started to pick up.Getting down to ordering, we started with the brisket queso which was basically a queso mixed with brisket and then topped with... more brisket. The chips were strong and had the strength to withstand the queso without breaking during dips. We were happy with it and felt it was a great start to the meal. As for entrees, I ordered wings (Jamaican Jerk, Chupahueso) and a side of curly fries. My other compatriots ordered the taco trio (brisket, sausage, fajita) and the TKO knockout burger. All the items hit the taste buds well as we finished nearly everything minus the fries since it was so much. The wings were meaty and excellent seasoning with the bleu cheese to dip. The tacos held up well with tender meat and intensified with the grilled onions and lime squeeze. And the burger was humungous and cooked perfectly. A really good meal overall.They had NBA and NHL on tv which occupied our time as we ate and drank. There are plenty of tvs around so you'll find whatever event you're looking for. They also did a trivia night on Wednesday; this one was based on the Office show which we all participated in. While enjoyable, the owner (I think) kept coming by and asking us about the trivia and explaining what the purpose was. He did this three times; I felt once was enough. But he was passionate about it so might as well let him spread the message.If you can get past the dim lighting and sketchy parking lot, this place has good food and beers (if available) with tons of sports-watching and a friendly staff. Aside from typical bar eats, they also serve bbq and some seafood items. I'll likely be back whenever Laredo calls me back there.

After sometime we decided to give this place another chance since they moved locations. The food is disgusting. Burnt, incomplete order, and the taste is beyond disgusting

Found this place by accident. Very friendly staff. Watched Wisconsin Badgers in basketball playoffs. Food and drinks were excellent. Best place in Laredo.

Drinks are OK same music same everything nothings changed bartenders do drink a lot with customers not really my thing they don't really follow the bartender system as far as how much alcohol supposed to go in a drink stop being stingy

We come here when we come to Laredo. I liked the other location, this is a new location. I want to say this is a 21 and over bar/grill/ cafe type restaurant. When you first walk in, there are plenty of seating, then you can walk into the bar area, also plenty of seating in there. There is a outside sitting for dining and drinks. The waitress are polite, and attentive. I had the TKO knock out burger, refried beans, chopped brisket, meat patty, cheese and a fried egg. All the condiments are on the side, plus cheesy curly fries. It is a good size burger, the brisket had flavor, but not the meat patty. Next time, I will either get a burger or brisket. I enjoyed the cheesy fries. Maria just got a plain burger with crinkle cut fries. All the fixings on the side. She did enjoy her burger, but she didn't say if it was lacking anything. Our friends had the buffalo wings, mild. Plus fries. I got to eat one, and in my opinion, the wings were overcooked, pretty dry, even with the buffalo sauce. We got there pretty late, after 9pm. The place has plenty of TVs, and they all had some sports on them. After 10 pm, the music got louder and the TVs showed videos of the music. We had a hard time trying to have a conversation, so I asked to leave. We do enjoy coming here, but next time not too late.

The food tasted, absolutely terrible, and might debatably be some of the worst bar food I have ever tasted .

Took a while to even be acknowledged by waitresses, stop giving out real cups after 10 however I got a solo cup at 9pm. Then they let children come in here unattended at 10:30 pm selling their apples so disappointing. Only solid thing about this place is Djs the place smell like old sticky drinks a good mopping could fix.

I really liked this place. it is a sports bar, with tvs all over the place. I went there on a Thursday night to get a bite to eat and walked into a full blown night club. The place transformed into a nice little dance spot with the tvs showing the videos of the songs playing. It was packed and the DJ was awesome. I got there at 9:55 and was told that I could only order from the late night menu, after I had been giving the regular menu. Apparently, the late night menu goes into affect at 10 and is limited. Even though I was disappointed the food was still very good. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with onion rings and they were both delicious. The onion rings were the old fashioned flaky ones, just how I like them. The burger was juicy and flavorful. You do have to dress the burger yourself, but it comes with ketchup, mayonnaise, jalapeños, lettuce, and pickles on the side. I recommend checking this place up. But if you do go on a Thursday then you better get there early.

I'll never go here again. Had a chance to talk to a couple of hot milfs, just when I was about to say "hey" they were signaled to move elsewhere by someone behind me and I wound up with a hooker next to me trying to score. Everything about her body said she was taking orders from that same person behind me. I may only be down by one beer but at least I didn't get ambushed in the parking lot or worse, throat cut in some hotel room.
