Service was okay, you order at counter. Nice lady behind the register.I had the Bacon Mushroom Swiss, sister and brothers had cheese Burgers. One brother had tots and others had fries. All were over fried and the tots were like rocks.Mushroom Burger was over smashed (too thin) and lacking flavor.Others also complained of Bugers lacking seasoning.The Big Res also had a funky taste. I think the ice machine need cleaning and affecting the soda flavor.It was disappointing since the only reason we went there was because we saw them on a Texas Eats episode.Sadness

Had a great lunch at Tin Top today. We had our two puppies with us and were able to sit out on the patio and a picnic table with them while we enjoyed lunch. I had the "Down the Hatch Burger", was outstanding. The bits of hatch pepper were very flavorful without being too spicy, but the sauce kicked in to a great heat level. Shared the order of tater tots, which were nice and crispy. Their root beer in the fountain drinks was probably one of the best root beers I've had in years , tasted like some of the high-end bottled root beer, but even better.Order at the counter and get a pager to let you know when your food's ready. Self service fountain drinks, and a good selection of beers. Tin Top's prices are very reasonable relative to today's market. It's a great values, but you shouldn't miss.

Came here the other day for a quick bite and was not disappointed. I walked here from downtown, but I did notice that they have a good amount of parking behind the restaurant.When I went in, there was only one group ahead of me, and they were just picking up their food. I ordered a Good Morning Burger, Onion Rings, and a Hopadillo. I paid for my meal at the register and was given a buzzer and my beer.I took a seat near the front and took a couple of pictures while I waited. The wait was not long at all. The food was brought to my table. They do use buzzers, so this this is probably not the norm. I was one person and sat near the front. It would be harder to keep this up for a large group that sat outside. Bringing the food to the table might not be the norm, but I appreciated it.The Onion Rings were crispy and very tasty. The Good Morning Burger came with egg, bacon, and ketchup. I did enjoy the burger.The restaurant has a casual feel to it. Some of the seating there appeared to be old school chairs.They have a nice outdoor area that you can enjoy your meal at. I recommend this restaurant for good food and good service.

Really enjoyed the Tin Top Burger Shop. Very rustic vibe. Staff was welcoming as soon as you walk in. Very willing to answer any questions about menu items. Burgers are the jam!! I love a good smash burger and this place has some good smash burgers. Great crust on the patties and still juicy. The onion rings hold up well and just the right amount of breading. The tots are crisp pillows of potato goodness. Everything is a la carte so you can run up the bill pretty quick. I'd definitely make the 20-30 minute drive again for their burgers.

We came here on a Friday evening and there was plenty of parking in the lot in the back of the building. I had the jalapeno bacon burger and my wife had the mushroom swiss. I tried the fries and she tried the garlic parmesan tots. Everything was great. I also like that they have their own unique sodas. There's a nice outside area as well. Would definitely come back.

I'm so glad we stopped. So many burger choices with high ratings but we chose this because of the casual ambience and not so "commercial" feel. I'm so glad we did. This was one of the best tasting burgers ever. Fresh, flavorful and not over done. I sat there and felt, this is what America is about. Friendly service, welcoming and great tasting food to fill our tummies.

Sooo yummy ! Definitely recommend if you're craving and juicy, flavorful burger ! Little pricy but burger was worth it and onion rings had a decent breading on them. Easy place order at the counter. Condiments are at a different counter where you get drinks.

We've been enjoying Tin Top Burgers for many years and it's wonderful they consistently serve the best burgers in New Braunfels. Soft buttery buns, quality patties and ingredients!

Shopping in New Braunsfel and wanted to try something new so we checked Yelp and found Tim Top. It was rated the best burger so we had to try other. It's best to check the website before entering to get a description of the burgers. We decided on the Down the Hatch burger for hubby and I had the Bacon Mushroom Swiss and we split a side of garlic Parmesan fries. Hubby got a drink and it was real soda! The food was really good. It came out hot and full of flavor.You order in line and come pick up your order. If I would complain about anything, it would be the flies. I'm not sure what they can do about them because their doors open so often but it was hard to enjoy the meal inside when you are fighting as many flies as you would outside. Nevertheless, I would recommend giving them a try. They have a good taste and it is not your average burger!

I had the swineapple burger. The burger was topped with pineapple, jalapeño and bacon. It tasted juice. The sweet and spicy flavors complimented each other. The meat was spiced just right. This is a cool place to dine in if you want something different. There is also an ice cream shop that in the restaurant.
