The West End Marina & Restaurants

I picked this out of convenience to where we were staying. The food was mostly ok but they had a painful amount of vinegar on the green beans. We went during non-busy hours and so the bartender was our server and while he may have been a great bartender, he wasn't a great table server. He was friendly but got my wife's order wrong and so she had to wait for her food. The worst of it was that this place is priced like a really good restaurant at the other end of the island. With those prices, we won't make that mistake again. We can get better elsewhere with just a bit more driving.

So pup friendly!! Beautiful view too!We went out on our last night in Galveston as it was a little drive from the main area and closer to the west end for sunset. It was a little bay/golfcart community and most people seemed to know each other.We sat on the upper deck and enjoyed watching the boats come in and out of the marina while we had dinner. They were very dog friendly and made sure he had ice water to drink while we ate.The food would have been excellent but the bread for the poboy was soaking wet as were the fries. I ended up just eating the shrimp by itself and it was really good.I would have sent back but it took a while for the server to return so I gave up and just ate the shrimps.It really was delicious, just wondering if someone spilled water on the plate on the way out of the kitchen? Who knows. lol

Always a great evening here. Awesome live band. Great food and service and the best adult beverages. I've been coming here for years and it only gets better. Huge crowd tonight and everyone is having a great time! Pretty loud but it's a party!

My daughter and went in late and split the seafood special! The fish was really good!

Short review this time. First time here for Saturday brunch with friends. Not crowded when we arrived so service was good. Our food was delicious! Two of us had the shrimp and grits and they were amazing! Taste was spot on and portion was perfect. My husband had more traditional breakfast food and said it was very good also. We go here in the evening quite often but will start coming more for brunch!!! Yummy!

This is our favorite place for seafood in Galveston, it's a bit out of the way from Galveston proper, so you don't get a lot of tourists and that's great! The food is always amazing and service is very good, atmosphere is laid back and unpretentious.

This was a pretty good place to relax and eat. The atmosphere is easy going and being able to look out over the water was a nice touch. Our server was great!

Delicious! Worth the drive. Great service, wonderful menu with lots of variety. Coveted patio, uncovered patio, and indoor seating.

Best service we have received eating out in a great while. Food was excellent Definitely on our list the next time we are in town, and should be on yours too.

Hi,Brought my family here from the West Columbia area, super excited and hungry.Gumbo, possibly worse thing I've ever seen, didn't know whether to run or burry it alive.Kids shrimp basket. Spot on I reckon Crab leg/seafood pot - tasted like it set in the poop water from last weekend and todays cook said just warm it up and throw some corn in it.Wife sat I bird fecal matterAs the opposite of a lottery ticket landed on the table as our check I slightly fainted.....Then a bird pooped on my left arm. I left my arm, pride, and family behind as I drifted off into the ocean of guilt that I brought them to such a majestic place. If you're reading this..... YE be Warned
