I am expressing my great dis-satisfaction with the new management/owners, GWR. About 2 weeks ago I asked management in person, to have a pesticides (I pay a monthly fee) take care of ants coming from the sewer thru' my garbage disposal. The previous management took care of these kind of health and sanitation immediately. Its been 2 weeks and nothing has been done. Further the new management does not respond to phone calls so unless you walk in and explain the problem in person you are out of luck. I have lived in the Veranda Apartments for over 5 years. Previous management/owners were awesome and they took care of things. Not the new owners. They made all cosmetic improvements but will ignore other issues, especially sanitation and health and so my next step is I am going to have a health inspector come inspect my space. This is unfortunately my last resort. I recommend that other places are far better than this one when it comes to customer service. These people don't even pick up the phone. Its all an answering service. As soon as my lease is up, I am moving.

Signed a lease here after reading great reviews. Apts are older but management was nice. When signing a lease, I was told that if there were issues with the apt and they could not fix it within 30 days then you could get out of your lease. Upon moving day, I discovered my apt was not ready! It was extremely dirty, there were no blinds on the front window, the bath tub was old, stained, and dirty (actually disgusting). The water heater is in the closet on top of carpet and the bottom ring that hold the water heater was filthy with dead bugs, dirt, and grime. There were nails in the wall, I am guessing from the previous tenants and the staff didn't bother to take them out- they just painted over them. The amount of things wrong was ridiculous and gross. I complained to the manager and she said she does a walk through of every apts before people move in so she assured me it was move in ready. Well they had low expectations for move in ready because a simple sweep and dust could have changed some - not a lot but some. They did however repaint/seal the bath tub so it looked newer and wasn't as gross and scary to look at. I called the corporate people and they had someone call me back from a private number, who left a message saying they made the property manager aware and to have a nice day. No call back number, no reconcile, nothing. I stayed for 30 days and paid $2000 to move out. It was the best money I ever spent. I feel bad leaving this comment because they were nice ladies but I would not want anyone to go through that experience. Do yourself a favor, don't sign a lease here. I am going to try to leave pictures on yelp or google reviews.

Scheduled an appointment to view one of the apartments (even got an email conformation). I drove three house and showed up ahead of schedule then went to the information office. The office hours said they were closed so I tried calling multiple numbers, no response. Waited 20 minutes and still no response. Finally after 40 minutes another resident came out and saw me waiting and took me to the on-site office worker. As soon as I said I had an appointment she rudely said that they were closed and the operating hours changed because of COVID-19 (which I understand). What I don't understand is why no one contacted me telling me my appointment was canceled. Wasted gas, wasted time, and wasted energetically. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Lived at the complex for two years and I give them 5 stars. From the beginning the property managers, maintenance, and surrounding renters have all been great and friendly. If I ever had any questions or help needed there is always someone willing to assist. If you are looking for an affordable great place to live I'd highly recommend The Veranda.
