Elated The Vasquez has reopened! We travel to Uvalde every few months and make sure we eat here. The food is authentic and delicious! Staff is always friendly and efficient. Absolutely the Best margaritas in Texas! Don't miss out on this gem.

Delightful, simple Tex-Mex food. Excellent service and clean establishment. Very nice for lunch.

Simple and delicious. Soft tacos, crispy tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, and nachos. Guacamole was the best! Ordered the Margarita platter, and I was sure glad I did! Was perfect with cheese enchiladas, crispy tacos, refried beans and Mexican rice. All so delicious. La Chiquita margarita was the best I've had! Highly recommend for all the family!

I had The Jesus special and it was very good. My wife got the nachos. My daughter got the cheese enchiladas & a freshly squeezed lemonade. We all loved what we got. First time here and all agreed that the cheese enchiladas were hard to beat. The restaurant had a comfortable and very clean feel. The service was very good, we look forward to returning.

The food was so tasty. It came out hot and looked beautiful. I had the Henry and husband had Enchiladas. Our favorites when we go. Our server was just working her 2nd day and was excellent. She checked on us regularly and kept our drinks filled. Will be back soon

I can't recommend the Vazquez. It feels like white washed Mexican food, options are limited. I ended up getting a burger which, to be fair, was good but who goes to a Mexican restaurant for a burger. The reason I order it was the rest of the menu was limited. Only beef or chicken tacos. Queso tastes like it comes out of a can. Service was also subpar. I would recommend you go any number of other more authentic places in town.

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant on our way thru town. The reviews were decent on the food and service, but honestly we were expecting better. It's a "sit wherever you want," kind of place, which would've been nice to know if there had been any signs. While our waitress was quick as was the time for our food to come out, the food brought out was not what we ordered. There were 2 waitresses, and maybe 5 tables occupied. I ordered a taco salad with no tomatoes and my husband ordered the Jesus plate with 2 enchiladas and 2 crispy tacos, he asked for shredded chicken. The taco salad came out in a bowl with like 7 chips surrounding the food, and it had tomatoes. My husband's crispy tacos were beef, not chicken. We didn't bother on asking for the food to be taken back. The waitress came back with our bill for a little over $30.. we had water and an ice tea as well. I feel this was way overpriced and for as slow as it was when we put in our order, I would've thought our orders would've been correct. Horrible first impression, don't think we'll ever go back to this place again.

We just happened here by chance and so glad we did. The food was so good. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Some of the things that stick out to me was that when she brought out tea she also brought us each a cup of ice. This is huge to me because I am an extra ice type of person. The chips were delicious! You could tell they were homemade tortilla chips. The BEST!The food was really good! We will definitely be back!

I'm amazed that this restaurant does the volume with such a small menu. Some restaurants you eat at have an extensive 6 or 8 panel menu. These guys keep it "short and sweet". I would recommend EVERTHING on the menu. Ultra-Clean and very friendly staff. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Vasquez and he was a stand up guy. His son and daughter in law continue the legacy. They are now open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
