Well even a perfumed gas station is still gas station. Go in with low expectations and you'll surely be satisfied. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful 5 stars.The cleanliness of the store and the whole facility inside and out is outstanding 5 stars.Here's where the wheels fall off the bus...Food. Pizza one star...just gross, soggy and no flavor.Breakfast burritos.. only complaint the tortilla was just too soggy, you could ring it out like a sponge. I know they wrap them right after cooking and the steam creates this effect, but just a nasty mushy tortilla; however their fillings are generous and tasty. Burger basket and fries with a drink $11.99 plus tax. The bun was cold as ice not buttered or toasted. Yuck! Meat was a nice portion and cooked well. The fries are the winner by far, seasoned wedges or straight. The unsweetened tea tasted like Mango tea... maybe clean the containers out more frequently?

Well, this gas station is definitely clean! There is a nice selection of usual gas station items along with some "The Texan" themed products. A hot food stall has breakfast items (breakfast tacos, sandwiches, kolaches, etc) in the morning and lunch has a bunch of bbq options. I got a bbq mac and cheese but it was pricey at $10 for a small portion. The peach kolache I ate is probably the best one I have tried in Texas so far. The Texan is definitely worth a stop if you need to refuel while in Port Aransas.

Brand new to the City of Port Aransas and boy did it come with such a big variety of goodies in it. From hot deli to the fresh fruits and bakery and all the other available goodies you just can't go wrong with this store. It actually sits in a prime location just a couple of hundred yards away from the beach so yup they struck a good vibe here.

This place is amazing. It has clean restrooms and the drinks are cold and sometimes they're prepared. Foods are edible. I can't complain about this place. Oh, but you better be a billionaire before you walk in there because everything is about four times more expensive than you think you're going to expect to pay!!! Other than that. Love this joint.

Great spot in Port Aransas. Loved it. Good snacks and like a Mini-Bucee's. We enjoyed it!

Lots of burritos, tacos, tamales, pastries, donuts & kolaches. Huge variety if soft drinks & coffee. Small amount of souvenirs, variety of normal snacks & specialty snacks. Savory & Sweet kolaches very good!

Happy New Year ~ 2023 have been a long time visitor of Port Aransas. When I saw that the Texan was being built I thought it is going to hurt some businesses. Well on New Year's Day 2023, I wanted a drink. At 10:45am I drive through the drive thru of Sonic. I saw employees inside, well they didn't bother to come and tell me that they open at 11. So we went to the Texan. Well we looked around and decided to get some tacos and a drink and other items. I went to where the tacos were and asked Melinda if she could make some tacos. Melinda said I'm closing it down, but graciously said , "I can still make you some". We got 3 tacos and an apple fritter. They were the best tacos and apple fritter I have ever had on the island. We ended up spending $40. Thank you Melinda! Businesses will put themselves out of business if they don't have employees like Melinda.

Went to this store on their opening day today, and boy, do I love it. It's a lot like a Buccee's, in the best possible ways. They have a super friendly and professional staff. They have an awesome selection of fresh foods at their food counter, including kolaches, flavored nuts and donuts, and lots more. Huge beverage selection, and Buccee's style large, clean bathrooms with private stalls. They have a store section with cool gadgets, beach toys, clothing, etc. They have a big dining area that looks really nice. They have tons of gas pumps. I tried to capture how cool this place is with pictures. Again, picture an ever so slightly smaller Buccee's that is still plenty big and doesn't skimp on fun and useful stuff. I can see this being a massive hit in Port Aransas.

The Texan Store in Port Aransas seems to be patterned after a very popular chain of "beaver-themed" stores, but in my opinion they have upped the game with their food. My wife and I just spent a month in Port Aransas and found the burgers there to be excellent.Fresh meat - never frozen is the key to their success, plus the ability to customize it just as you like it. We had burgers there twice during our stay and both times were extremely pleased with them. The patties are HUGE (I'm guessing a half-pound), all the veggies are fresh and tasty and the workers were extremely friendly and courteous.They have a nice dine-in area, or on one occasion we took ours back to our RV to eat.I can't think of any suggestions for improvement - they were delicious. They have a number of other items on their menu, plus all the fountain drinks you can imagine. Next time around we may try other food items, but it'll be hard not to go for another one of their delicious burgers.While they're cooking your burger (or after you eat) there is plenty to look at throughout the store from souvenir shirts and stickers to various gadgets and bakery items.Plenty of gas pumps, and clean restrooms.The Texan is a winner.

Such great service! Friendly atmosphere! Gas seems to be normal! Bathrooms are clean as well as the store. Food tastes like it's been sitting for a while, but that's the only downer. Great deals and prices. Totally recommend this place! Definitely a mini Bucees or just like it. WATCH OUT BUCEES!
